They're really nice. I thought there was something wrong with my furnace. They ran a diagnostic and adjusted my thermostat as opposed to charging me for a larger issue.

Twice this summer Bair saved me from plumbing disaster--this time we were having radon remediation done in a house we were selling when we discovered a leak in the drain pipe. They came immediately and replaced about 15' of badly corroded cast iron pipe. Totally professional, thorough and no complaints about the low-overhead crawl space they were working in. The radon guys were able to finish the job as planned, saving us from a 2 1/2 week delay. I've been a satisfied customer for over 20 years and this summer they just confirmed my faith in the quality of their services!

While replacing my kitchen faucet myself, I had a leaking shut-off valve. All of the shut-off valves under the sink were quite old, and so I purchased replacements and attempted to install them myself. I was able to remove the cold-water shut-off valve, but was having trouble installing the new one (couldn't get it tight enough to engage the ferrule) and I was unable to remove the hot-water shut-off valve (nut was stuck and I couldn't turn it). Unable to turn my home's water back on until this was done, in desperation I called Robert Bair Plumbing. A plumber arrived within about 1.5 hours and was able remove/install the shut-off valves (he had to cut off the one that was stuck). My doit myself faucet replacement was a bit more expensive than anticipated, but I appreciate the quick help that I needed. The plumber was polite and all-business and got the job done quickly (about 20 minutes).

They did a good job. However service tech told me I might need a new furnace. I called the office and got a more detailed explanation and it was determined I didn't need a new furnace. Kind of hit or miss on the techs. Some really good, some just ok. You need to follow up.

The technician came out on time and was extremely professional. Gave me three options to decide on...1. Replace the unit with a reputable pump, 2. Replace the switch only or 3. I could buy the pump myself and they would come back to install....the tech was not pushy at all. Thoroughly answered my list of questions (thanks for being patient). Performed the work in a timely manner and left the work area clean. Recommended and installed a quality product. Great job from this company, I highly recommend them.

I had some plumbing work done. It was a long time ago and I think I ended up using a company called Robert Bair Plumbing. It wasn't long that it took them to replace all of that, it was maybe half a day or something. They actually had to come back because they had to order a part so they had to come back but all in total maybe half a day. There were no unexpected issues that I recall, not really, it went pretty smoothly, it went on right. They are top grade overall. I think they were comparable for the price. The valve that they replaced was pretty expensive and that is what really raised the price. I think overall the price was real reasonable and I would give him a high grade on the price also. The responsiveness was tops. They were very responsive, very professional and I was very happy with them.

I had a gas leak at my mother's house in the basement near the furnace. The gas company came to shut off the gas as is protocol. I called and scheduled an appointment with Robert Bair Plumbing because their sticker was on (ironically) the pipe that was leaking. They said that a plumber would be out between 4-8pm that evening. At 8pm, I called to find out where he was only to hear that I should "call the office" in the morning to schedule service for the following day because they were "just too busy." The scheduled low temperature for the evening was 1 degree! I mentioned that this was an emergency as the pipes would surely freeze (older house). I asked for her to call someone to use some common sense and the response was "I'm just the answering service." I called another plumber and he drove from his home (45 minutes away) at 8:30pm and fixed it, in the cold. What makes it worse is that Robert Bair had installed the furnace and some new gas piping fairly recently. The guy who fixed it couldn't believe the way they installed the piping (no way to make a repair without cutting pipes and re-inserting new unions). Apparently, the poor installation was the culprit and had caused the leak in the first place. I've used Robert Bair on my house in the past and always found them to be average in terms of service, responsiveness and professionalism (quite expensive too). It is so solidly built that they recommended to just repairing it versus replacing it. They had to go online and search for the part, so it took long. They called over Christmas, but we were out of town. They are very good.

My old air conditioner stopped during the hottest week in July. Within a few days, Robert Baer had my new air conditioner ordered, shopped and installed. Baer employees are professional and cutomer-oriented. I use Robert Baer for all my heating, air conditioning and plumbing needs and have always been pleased with their service.

The sales person showed up fast, and he promised installation sooner than anyone else. It was a Trane brand, a top name, at the same price as less-distinguished brands. It had all the specs I wanted, so I went for it. The installers arrived up promptly and acted courteously and helpfully throughout the day. They would stop at any time and answer any question. When I had suggestions (I'm a designer and a do-it-yourself addict), we'd talk it over together; I learned a lot (from Derrick especially). They made several improvements this way, such as: - simpler routing of the intake PVC pipe. Shorter, more direct and better looking. - moving the humidifier bypass tube to the hot air duct. Shorter path and less cluttered. - replacing the humidifier saddle valve with a compression valve. Safer from flooding. - raising both the furnace and the return duct off the basement floor to prevent condensation. They would have done it well anyway, but it came out my way, which of course I prefer! It took longer than expected, mostly because of the extra care that my ideas required. They did not complain ever! They lit it up and it worked from the start. It has continued to work flawlessly, now for a week. I have called with about a dozen tech questions, and always received thoughtful help from others at Bair.

Bought 20 year old house in 2003 and the home inspector never turned up many problems we have had. Prior owners put money in cosmetic aspects of house and neglected all hvac, plumbing, etc. Thank goodness Robert Bair has been able to tackle every project quickly and professionally. I don't believe they are the cheapest service provider...I have never wanted cheap, I want best value. I believe they are the best value for high quality hvac and plumbing, and they stand behind every project with fast service calls and annual preventive maintenance plans. Extremely professional...all prices are already documented in a pricing book...do you don't get someone up pricing their services when they see a large, expensive home ( which has happened to me with other service providers ). Highly recommend.

Agent quoted for both new A/C and furnace. Cheaper to do both at once. And both were old so we decided to go ahead with the project. The agent explained the different options for both A/C and furnace and advised us as to our best option. He discussed the size of our town home, our needs, etc. He advised a combo of units somewhere in the middle price range. We have used Bair for a number of year for minor repairs and for yearly A/C and furnace checkups. We have been satisfied with their service and have never felt unneeded services were forced on us. After accepting quote, agent got us an appointment the next week. The workers arrived on time and completed the work in even a bit less time than quoted. They brought mats and tarps to cover our hardwood floors and carpets and always changed into the protective shoe booties when they entered the house. We appreciated their consideration of our floors. Outside of a short lunch break, they guys were always working. Old equipment was removed and taken away. The workers were friendly but unobtrusive. They could not fill the freon in the A/C on the day of installation, as the outside temperature was not warm enough. They next day the temperature rose above 70 and they squeezed us in in the early evening and filled the A/C with the freon. Regarding the financing, we paid half down and half when the work was completed. I had done some previous research on the costs of A/C and furnaces on the internet and was actually expecting to pay somewhat more than we were charged. So I felt the price was fair. One worker explained the new thermostat to my husband. We were given the user manuals for the equipment. After a week and a half of living without the A/C, we were happy campers again a few hours after the freon was put into the unit.

They arrived very quickly for an emergency weekend call. Found the problem right away and fixed it promptly. Very courteous and professional. We've used them before for sewer rodding and heating issues. Always provide good service.

I got them from Angie's List. He came and gave us an estimate. He was so much lower than everybody else, and he knew what he was doing. We actually saved money this year. They are the best. Their salesperson, Justin was exceedingly knowledgeable. He presented a lot of options so that we could make an informed decision. The two young men that they sent here to do the installation were very efficient. They cleaned up after themselves, and they did a great job. It took almost all day. Now, the furnace works great. We have also had them back again because we had a toilet problem. Their plumber came and did a great job too.

The technicians arrived in the time slot requested, calling before their actual arrival. They were courteous, patient and listened to all of our questions and concerns. They were neat and cleaned up after themselves.

I have been experiencing some minor issues with my furnace not going on according to the thermostat. For example I would set my thermostat at 63 and the room temp would read 61. This has been an ongoing problem. I finally went to Angie's List first before calling any old heating and cooling company to see that Robert Bair Heating & Cooling was on Angie's List with an "A" rating. I sent them an e/mail regarding my problem and in less than 15 minutes I was called by "Dorothy". After explaining my situation we scheduled an appointment for the following day as my heat was now working. A couple of hours later my furnace was acting up again and I immediately called Robert Bair to see if I could get an appointment today. Dorothy was more than helpful and called the dispatch center to schedule a tech to come to my house between 1 pm and 4 pm. Dorothy then called me back a short time later and explained she could get a tech over to my house right away and explained "Dave" was on his way. When "Dave" arrived he was polite, courteous and professional. As soon as he entered my home he put on some protective foot covering to keep my floors nice and clean. Dave went right to work and diagnosed the problem by replacing a few parts and cleaning the unit. He explained to me how the parts work and what they do giving me a full understanding of the repair. Dorothy and Dave are definite assets to Robert Bair Heating & Cooling and I would definitely recommend this company. Job well done!!!

Had used them many years ago to help us repair our furnace, and remembered them because the tech at that time showed my husband how to maintain the furnace himself, which was appreciated SO much over the years. So when our faucet basically stopped working, I called them up. They took the time to discuss the issue with me on the phone, and gave me a "guesstimate" for repairs, which was really nice to know ahead of time. The tech (Carmen) was prompt, friendly, did great work, and ended up charging us LESS than we had originally thought it would be, which was a pleasant surprise. I can't speak to how their company would perform on complicated or extensive plumbing repairs, but for the type of work we had done, I think they are great! I would be happy to use them again in the future.

I feel I was "oversold". The handle on my 24 year old kitchen faucet broke and I wanted an estimate to have it replaced. After a thorough examination their man "Jason" told my wife and I that to "do the job properly" it would cost us approximately $826, depending on how good a deal we could get by going out to Home Depot and getting the parts ourselves. He recommended we replace our perfectly functioning disposal, redoing some pipes and adding a soap dispenser. We ended up buying the new faucet at Home Depot for $80.53 and our son-in-law replaced it in an hour. It works perfectly. To his credit, Jason was polite, professional and on time. But he kept up a constant patter of "quality", "doing the job right", "peace of mind", etc. All this for a one hour job that cost one tenth of what he would have charged us.

We called with an emergency as a shorted wire in our basement renovation created a power surge through our HVAC unit and bathroom fan. The HVAC was not working in 25 degree weather. We called at around 1pm and they stated that someone would be out to address it between 4-8pm. At 8pm, we called as we had not had a visit yet. There was some mix-up with the communication, but the technician waived the $80 service fee because of the mix-up. So, we were certainly satisfied customers. He was very pleasant as he looked around and determined that the transformer was fried. He had the part in his van, replaced it, and had the HVAC back up and running in about 30 min. We were very pleased with the same-day service, the quick fix, and the honesty of the repairman as we had no idea if the HVAC unit itself had been completely shorted out. Will definitely use them again.

Checked the unit out and said it was shot. New unit would be between $3,000.00 and $5,000. My husband and son checked it out, found some wire connection issue. They went and bought the connectors that looked to be the problem. They put the new connectors on turned on the air and it has been working since. Called and asked for my money back on the original visit. My money was refunded.

The rep was very professional and pleasant, but I was not aware of the cost until I was presented with the bill. This year, I have exactly the same problem that he was here to fix and am having the system replaced. My system is old, so probably needed replacement last year, which he recommended, but I just thought the service was overpriced.

I was connected to Robert Bair Plumbing via a friend. My AC died last summer and I needed a complete new system. Justin came out to do my estimate with me. He was amazingly helpful and walked me through every step of the process. He told me the type of unit I had, and what he recommended moving forward. While he did quote me on my furnace as well, it wasn't a hard sell to get both done. He even told me that the furnace I have is overkill for the size of my house. In getting a new one he recommended a smaller unit that would work more efficiently that my current unit. I received my quote right there, and when I had questions, he was available to talk or text anytime. And I did have questions, so that was nice. When I decided to go ahead with the AC (and humidifier and new filter system) they scheduled me for just a few days later. They offered to do it over the weekend (which would have been the next day), but Tuesday worked better for me. The two installers that came out, Mike Insco and Steve Esler wear fantastic. Top notch all the way. Mike arrived early to get a head start on removing the unit, while Steve brought the big trunk with all of the gear. They clearly explained exactly what they were doing every step of the way (I like to know what's going on in my house and when I have experts in my house, it's a learning opportunity for me and they were nice enough to answer all of my questions). The pointed out some problems with my venting system that had been hidden by the old AC and fixed them for me. They got the whole new unit in, ran new wires and tubing, and everything in about 5 hours. When they were done they took me through everything they'd done, and all of the items I'd need to service over time (filters mostly).I I'm perfectly please with the job they did. Not sure what those old reviews were referring too, but my experience with Robert Bair was exceptional.

I was very pleased with the punctuality of the plumber. He quickly repaired the outside faucet and fixed the under the kitchen sink leak. His attitude was most pleasant and he answered my questions expertly. I have now used this group for the installation of a hot water tank, furnace and air-conditioning unit. Their follow up visits have been just as courteous as the day it all was installed. Each service person uses covers over his shoes whenever entering the house, which has impressed me.
