Description of Work: As part of a kitchen and bathroom remodeling project where both rooms were gutted, Jay's Plumbing replaced the galvanized steel pipes with copper lines, installed a pipe heating system to solve our frozen pipe problems, moved the pipes that carry water into the house to accommodate a larger shower, installed a new water meter and a new water heater, installed all the new sinks, toilet, faucets, etc., a gas line to the fireplace, and all the jobs that accompany a remodel. Jay's plumbers were skilled, polite, and very nice to have around the house, even though the job involved working in a very narrow dirt crawlspace. They went the extra mile to get the job done correctly. It has made living in our house much better and I highly recommend Jay's Plumbing.

Description of Work: Have worked with Jay's on several different projects now. Always above and beyond. Even mentioned some ideas of future projects. Came back to the house, off the clock, with print outs and information to help flesh out the idea and make it something more realistic. Provided several levels of possible ideas to work with. | |I don't normally recommend people, as they may deal with me differently than the next person, but every time I've worked with Jay's it's been top notch, and have willingly recommended them to other people because of it.

Description of Work: Jay's plumbing was recommended by our general contractor on a kitchen addition and remodel. They did some additional work to bring some of our existing plumbing up to code and moved the plumbing stack to the upstairs bathrooms as well as reworked our ejector pit. Jay's plumbing was easy to work with and fully explained what needed to be done and why and provided options.

Description of Work: Jays Plumbing was a subcontractor employed by our general contractor for our kitchen remodel. The kitchen remodel was a complete tearout and reworking the original plumbing and drains was required. Jays also did the plumbing work on a previous bathroom remodel we had done a couple years before. All work was expertly done, requiring zero follow up. We would hire Jays for any plumbing work needed.

+ 0 moreOur problem initially started with a plugged toilet. I couldn't fix it with a plunger or a snake, so I called Jay's and they came out fairly quickly. The plumber had to remove the toilet to remove a large item that was stuck in the trap. He also had to install a new wax ring. Cost: $166. Seemed kind of high but they got the job done. A few months later I was in the crawl space and noticed a significant leak right under the toilet. I found this curious since they just replaced the wax seal and that is usually the cause of this kind of leak. I called Jay's and they came out the same day. They determined that the closet collar cracked and replaced that and the associated hardware, along with another wax seal. Cost: $205. I don't know for sure but find it curious that the toilet leak happened tight after the initial repair and suspect the first plumber damaged something that later caused the leak. In any case, I think they are too expensive.
Description of Work: Unplugged toilet and fixed toilet leak.

Jay himself came to give the quote, and he was very thorough in explaining what would be involved, what issues we might be facing, and other things. He also discussed how to maintain the system. He was very professional. If I get an opportunity to use them, I will definitely use them.

+ -1 moreI found the house full of water and called them immediately. The owner answered and gave me instruction to turn the valve off. A representative from his company came out within two hours and provided the above service in a very courteous way. The owner did tell me right away that I would be charged a time-and-a-half due to a weekend call and gave me the quote. Options of waiting until Monday was discussed openly.
Description of Work: Identified the frozen and bursted water pipe in the bathroom and repaired it. We were able to use the water in the house in matter of hours.
