Their inspection indicated the service requested would only be a temporary fix and would not really resolve some core problems with our garage door. Because of their honesty and reputation on Angie's List, we will be using them for a full garage door installation at a future date.

My keypad wasn't working and the standby power battery was beeping. I looked on Angie's list to get Innovative's phone number and saw the $44.00 tune up deal. I signed up for it at 5am, got a call from Innovative around 730am that same morning to schedule. They were able to come out the same day as they were in my area. They also worked around my schedule. Service took 20 minutes to tune and check the garage door mechanisms and replace the standby power battery. I changed the keypad battery myself even though they offered to do so. I appreciated the tune up special deal (talk about good timing) and their responsiveness. I was charged extra for the standby power battery ($55.00). The only quibble I have was the way they popped the keypad cover off when I asked how to remove it. The service guy banged it wit his fist. Later, when I tried to open the keypad cover again myself and couldn't, he showed me how to press against the cover with my thumbs so that it could be removed. (My manual did not have instructions on keypad battery replacement. Since I am good at breaking things, I wanted to make sure I did it correctly.) (Innovative replaced my garage door opener September 2010. )

Innovative was great to work with. My main concern was that the 'quiet drive' wasn't so quiet anymore. Innovative took care of the issue, made a recommendation on something that was missing from my system (without any pressure whatsoever), and the garage door is working perfectly. They were extremely fast and professional. Nothing but good things to say.

I don't usually do reviews, but Innovative Garage Door deserves one. Yvonne called to let me know Mike would be arriving by 11:45 am. Mike arrived and we went over the issues and what we wanted done. He reviewed the job and let me know what I should do to make the door correct. We ended up replacing both springs and installing a new opener. Mike was never in a hurry and never tried to up sell me on any products or their services. He did a great job, was very proficient and made sure he cleaned up after he was done. I would recommend Mike & Innovative to everyone. A first class company with great employees.

They were really quick and professional. I would definitely recommend them. Their work turned out well and they cleaned everything up after themselves. I had no problems with them at all. They also had the best price. It might have taken them a week to turn around and get the garage door but their responsiveness was pretty good.

They came right away and fixed it. The garage is working well.

Repair guy arrived on time, he didn't mention his name (that I remember) but he was nice and looked at my broken spring. Offered me the rate to replace one or both springs. I chose to do both. He was nice, did a nice few extras like oiled the track that opens the door and tied back some hanging wires. He was a nice young guy, helpful and quick. Work was completed in about 30 minutes.

They have fixed the problem effectively.

I have used Innovative Garage Door in the past for maintenance issues and installation of a new door. In this instance, my garage door opener threw a rail pulley late on a Friday afternoon. I was scheduled to go out of town for the weekend, but had to repair the door in order to secure my garage. This was an easy fix, but I had to obtain a replacement part. I stopped in at the Innovative Garage shop and unfortunately they did not have the part in stock (weird size pulley). I called Mike who was working in the field and he said he had the part on his truck. Mike agreed to meet me in the neighborhood while he was still working. I had the part 10 minutes later and was able to fix the door without changing my weekend plans. Mike even provided the part without a charge. So.....while this was a relatively inexpensive part, I couldn't fix the door without it. I appreciated the free part, but I really appreciated the fact that Mike didn't blow me off late on a Friday afternoon. Kudos to Mike and the staff at Innovative Garage Door.

Automatic door would go up 3 inches then down then up 3 inches again and stay there when I pushed any of the wall button, the remote or used the keypad. When I disconnected the door and tried to lift it manually, couldn't do that either. Jumped on Angie's list to find something local and well-recommended, and found Innovative Garage Door. Called them at 7:15 in morning, a technician was out by 8:00 and the problem was fixed by 9:00. We couldn't be happier. Scott (the technician) was very friendly and knowledgable, answering all our questions. Said the broken spring would cost $200 to replace and we could pay $300 to to replace both springs, so we did. He also checked the photo eyes and lift mechanism (tightened some things there that were loose). Overall, an excellent, efficient and pleasant experience for what started out as a not-so-pleasant day.

The company was top notch. The salesman, appointment maker, installers were very personable. The install went seamlessly. The warranty is excellent. The door looks great and works perfect!

They did what they said they would do and I'm ok with that. I'm not ok with them giving me a four hour window in which they say they'll show up and then they can't arrive within that window. I know that difficulties arise from time to time but if you can't make it in four hours maybe you should be scheduling your workers better.

They were punctual they honored there agreement and I have no complaints.

Service tech arrive on time and ask me to describe the problem. I explained that the door starts down that quickly reverses after a few seconds. He checked all connections, sensors, doors and track. He checked the door several times and each time it worked correctly. Later in the day, I tried to close the door and the same issue happened again. I called the office to explain I was still having the same problem as I had before the service tech was there. They sent a rep the next day to replace the sensors and the door has worked great since. They charged me for the sensors but not for a service call.

Fantastic work - competent and courteous, I would highly recommend An Innovative Garage Door to anyone seeking a reliable, honest resource for garage door repair.

If you're going to buy a garage door and it is a straight forward no complicatoin installation, they are great. Their prices are good and the quality is good and they know what they are doing. The spring on my heavy garage door broke and so I decided to go shopping for a new garage door instead of repairing it. A part on the channel of the door also needed fixed. Scott came and told me what my problem was. I agreed to the new garage door and I said I would order the part. He said he'll do it and order the part for me. The guys came and they didn't have the part. I ended up fixing the broken party myself and eventually ordered the part and fixed it myself.

It went great, the installer was on time, fixed an issue that I had with my door support and replaced and lubricated the rollers and hinges. He advised me on what to do yearly for maintenance and gave solid advice on how best to purchase a new door when the the time comes.

Installer showed up on time and completed the installation in a couple of hours. Garage door opening and closing was much quieter than it had been and new sensors were installed to prevent the door from closing if something was blocking it. I was very pleased with the service and new garage door opener.

They came on time. Told me what they would do and did it.

They arrived at the time designated, installed the equipment promply, and left no mess at all for me to clean up. Very happy with the service and equipment.

When the service man arrived, right on schedule by the way, he immediately identified the problem & noted he could repair the existing opener at a cost of $190.00. We gave him a coupon printed from Angie's List and he knocked off an additional $15.00. Total price $175.00. Excellent Co. We will recommend them without qualification.

After receiving a few quotes from other companies, I decided to go with Innovative based on other reviews and my initial contact with them. We had an old garage door that needed a new weather seal on the bottom. Two other installers stated they could not replace the seal because the door manufacturer had gone out of business and the type of seal we had was no longer available (which is true). They offered to sell me a new door instead. When I called Innovative I explained I was looking to see if the weather seal could be replaced. I was connected to Scott one of the installers. He listened, was familiar with my door, and stated that he could probably replace the weather seal. It sounded like he would need to retrofit it somehow. I appreciated his honesty and knowledge. However, given the cost of doing so we decided, based on the age of the door, to put the money into replacing the door. I then arranged through the phone rep to schedule a measurement and estimate for the following week. When said appointment time came and went no one arrived. I called Innovative and they had no record of my appointment or name. I spoke with Leah who was very apologetic who stated that the person who probably booked my appointment was new and had gone home sick the day I called so perhaps made an oversight and failed to record the appointment. These things happen, so while frustrated, I booked another appointment for that coming Saturday, March 23. Later that week they called me to reschedule the estimate for earlier in the morning at 8:00am. It wasn't really a problem on our end, but I got the feeling that they were having scheduling problems on their end. Scott came on March 23 as planned and provided the written estimate. My husband and I discussed it over the weekend and I called the following Monday, March 25. I was told to fax/email the written estimate with our signature and that they would need a $200 deposit. I emailed the signed estimate that afternoon stating that I would put the deposit on my Visa. By Wednesday, I had not received a call back. We wanted to get moving on the installation so I called them and spoke with Gail. She said that she had gotten the estimate. She was very nice but was very lackadaisical in her response--"oh I was going to call you." I gave her my Visa for the deposit and proceeded to schedule the install. There was a little back and forth as to the best day. I had some questions and she would put me on hold to ask the installer. At one point, my husband and the installer spoke directly around how much stuff needed to be removed from the garage for the install. He was told he could come out that Friday. Gail and I got back on the phone and we scheduled it. Come that Friday, no one showed up! My husband called and was told our appointment was for the following Friday! On a side note, I should mention that after I made my initially phone inquiry to Innovative about a quote, I then emailed them through their website Contact Us page. I explained that I had spoken with Scott about the repair and wanted to arrange a quote on the new door. I hadn't gotten any response within a day so I called them instead. Well, during the time I was having phone contact with them, I did eventually get an email reply back from Mike, the owner, asking if I still had interest on a new door. It was apparent from the email he was unaware of my phone conversations wiht his office staff so I emailed him back stating the plan. Then between the time I emailed my signed estimate and was waiting to hear from them to give my deposit, I received a voice mail from Mike whether I was still interested in a new door (???). I couldn't tell if he was aware of my phone calls to his office. So I called him and left him a voice mail. THen still didn't hear from his staff about the deposit and I called them the next day.) I mention all of this because from the beginning it was just one miscommunication and scheduling problem after another! After the installation appointment got dropped, we decided we didn't want to continue business. Just didn't trust we would get good follow through. We asked for our $200 deposit back (which had already cleared our bank). Gail stated she did not know how to process it and Leah, the office manager(?) was out (it was Good Friday.) I called Leah the following Monday. It sounded like we were being blamed for the scheduling problem. However, I explained the whole story as I did here. Leah was very professional about it and promptly refunded our deposit. My impressions are that the right hand did not always know what the left hand was doing. There was a new person working and there were some staff out of sick. It could be that the service I received was an aberration for this company. I hope so. I had gone with them because of the positive reviews on Angie's List. I do feel they are honest, but very disorganized and that disorganization is the basis for my review.

It went very well. The guy came before time and finished it fast. He got the stuff along with him that was needed and got right to work as he came. Changed the spring placed the new one and was done in no time. Overall it went very smooth and we were impressed by his work.

Called in the morning came out same day and repaired. knew costs upfront. Very prompt excellent service!

DO hire them, DON'T hesitate. Excellent service AND price!
