We had used them for my parents' renovation and were very impressed. They impressed us once again on this job. We wanted a new garage door system to match the exterior renovation we are doing, and they worked through the different options for us and explained the differences to us very well. Once we made our choices, it only took a couple of weeks for the door to be manufactured to our specs and then be installed. The office and installation crew were wonderful to work with once again. The two gentleman doing the installation were very efficient and kept the work area clean the entire time. We asked them to keep the metal in our garage so we could recycle it later, and they stacked it nicely in one pile for us. The door and system as a whole looks and works great, and we are very happy at how much of a difference this first change in our reno process has made on the look of our home.

fast and professional; would use again

I had an appointment for 8-12. I received a call at 11:54 informing me that the technician was running late and would be at my home by 12:30. The technician arrived at 1:15. He did not have the proper equipment to change my two one car garage doors from springs to tension bars. I was clear when making the appointment that this is what I had and needed done. The technician never apologized for being late. He was not certain how long it would take and was not prepared to do the job. He was acting strange and I had zero faith in his ability to do the job correctly so I told him I was canceling the order. He quickly got in his car and sped off. He never once showed any form of customer concern or service. I found them to be highly unprofessional and am quite concerned that they have such a high rating on Angie's List. This gives e pause to believe the reviews here. 8-22 Your response is illustrative of your lack of professionalism. My account was honest and accurate. I gave the person on the phone all the correct information. I did not complain about a lack of color options for the seal. The car sped off and if it pulled over at anytime, it was not within our view at the time. The technician did not apologize for being tardy nor did he have enough equipment to do the job. Other than at 11:54, no one had called to inform me that you were short handed and that it would be at the tail end of the 4 hour window. I am appalled at your retort.

They were really nice. They came out and did what they were supposed to do, they were on time and we had friendly phone calls back and forth.

I called them around 8:30am and the nice lady that answered the phone said I can have our guy come out to you between 10-12pm.I waited till around 1:30 and decided to call her back.It was just simply a miss communication she said and he will be there shortly.And then Scott showed up a little after I got off the phone.He apologized for the miscommunication.I said thats ok and thanks for coming out.I showed him my garage door.And explained to him that i bought this new door opener from Lowes. And they came out Lowes and said my door is broke and they can't fix it nor put the new door opener until the door is fixed.That's what I get for big box companies.Scott gave me a price at $209 but because of the miscommunication he said I'll give you a discount and you pay $179. Which I though was great of him.He also checked my new garage opener and said it's the wrong one for my garage.And told me that if I can return the product back he can put in a better one for me . Also fix the other side of my garage because he can see that it also needs some tlc for just a bit little more and have everything done right all at once.That sounds like a plan to me and makes my life easier.Scott was awesome and I can't wait til he comes back and fixes everything else for my garage.I'll wright another review after I get more work done next week.I'm super happy I picked this company!

I previously had Innovative Garage Door out to my house about 2 years ago to repair my garage door. I was completely satisfied with that visit so when I had issues with my opener I didn't think twice about calling them. I ended up "up-selling" myself on a Internet enabled unit and negotiated to get a free Internet Gateway as part of the deal. Angie's List actually had a much better deal which Innovative refused to honor as they said that it was an old promotion that Angie's List would not take down. I am generally an understanding person and I don't fault people for things that are beyond their control. That said, it took 4 WEEKS to get my gateway and numerous promises that I would get it the next day or the next day or two. It was completely ridiculous! I specifically asked to talk with the owner and was promised that he would get my message, but I never received a call. Very disappointing. While the unit works well, I can't recommend them anymore after my last experience. *UPDATE* I rarely log into my Angie's List account. I ended up posting this review based on repeated prompting from Angie's List to do so (that's why it was 4 months later). I have no vested interest in bashing anyone. I was "completely satisfied" two years ago when I had my door fixed - not this last time. I think that is pretty clear in my review. My issue was with the customer service which clearly is not something they are concerned about based on the response they posted. This company made "repeated" promises that I would receive the equipment "the next day" and it took a month. That is what is ridiculous. Had they said it would take a month for me to get it from the beginning - that would have been fine. Don't make commitments to customers if you can't keep them. I don't know if the owner has me mixed up with another customer, but there are things that are flat out wrong: "bounced check" -COMPLETE LIE! Everything went great! Mike called about 40 minutes before he was going to arrive to confirm our address and arrived almost exactly when he thought he would. He was very professional and got the work done very quickly. Our 2-car garage door was VERY noisy prior to the spring breaking. After Mike's work, it is really quiet. The other door is quieter too after the lubrication. I would DEFINITELY call Mike and Innovative Garage Door again!!

I called at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday because the garage door wouldn't open more than a foot. I checked Angie's List for a local company to repair it. I was given an appointment for service for the next morning. The technician came on time and diagnosed the problem as the cone at the end of the spring for the garage door had come loose. He was able to repair it and do the other items listed quickly. He was thorough in explaining what he was going to do. I would definitely recommend this company and I'd use them again for any garage door issues I had. (I also used an Angie's coupon for $15 off a service call from their listing on Angie's website.)

To All looking to replace their garage doors ..... You have to shop around. I was getting the same prices from all installers, but Innovative Garage Doors were the only ones using the Hormann Garage Doors, We went with the Orion 3200 and the door is solid, better Insulation value of R9.8 (due to 2" thickness) compared to others 1.75" with R Values at around R6. So that is one plus. We also gotten the Liftmaster 8550 which is just superb product. - Compared to other lower end products given by others at the same pricer. Door opens super smoothly and are very very Quiet! . So all in all ... You have to Shop around. We feel that we stumbled upon great company, and great products! Love our new doors, house looks sharper, and garage looks cleaner Inside and out. due to slick installation that Dan and Dan did! Great Company to deal with. My only regret is that an old piece of Wooden Molding is showing up on the front of the door, I will now have to be more careful about stripping it down from old white paint and recoat it. I was thinking the new Aluminum/Plastic molding would cover it over completely. Also from the inside of the garage, in full sun there are no visible "light" going through anywhere on the door - meaning the door are super tight and will be big help keeping the cold out in the winter and cool in the summer. Overall Superb service and product! 10/10

It went great. They were on time, courteous, cleaned up after themselves and very quick - 30 mins, tops.

They came to do a garage door tune up for us. Everything went great.

I called on a Sunday afternoon, and they had repairmen out the next morning. I'm sure if I asked, they would have had someone out there that day, but I don't think an inoperable door on a detached garage merits an emergency call. After they had time to see what was going on, we asked for an approximate price. We were told $225 which I thought was very fair. They had a lot of little things to replace and adjust. So I felt comfortable to add one more item, replacing the weather stripping. It wasn't horrible, but it knocked another item off my honey do list. Within a couple of hours, the door was fixed and operating smoothly. The techs were courteous and worked fast and efficiently. We were thrilled to have the door operating again in one day.

Thanks for a job well done. Everything went perfect: Prompt first contact, ease of scheduling, explanation of work to be done and ultimately job completed to our satisfaction. We're always happy when able to give our business to someone local and will certainly recommend them for future business.

Arrived on time. Suggested a better fix than just replacing fraying cable for the same price as service special. Also installed a solid 1 piece shell track in place of the 3 piece track which came with opener. I will call them the next time I have any problems with garage opener or door. Great service !

Awesome experience! An Innovative Garage Door, Inc. sent the "best" repairman in this instance. Not only did the repairman tune-up my garage door, he surgically went about making it perform even better! My side hinges were on shakey ground, so he went about adding 6 bolts to each side to bolster the frame. He than added new hinges that were 1/3 of the size, but made the opening & closing of the door so much smoother. I like that this repairman offered advice to me as a way of having the door perform better, not just to up sell additional services. This repairman was on time, very professional, great attitude and ultimately got my garage door to perform even better. I would highly recommend An Innovative Garage Door, Inc. The scheduler was very polite and fit the appointment to my schedule almost immediately. A++ to this company!

Company did not honor posted deal. Stated reason was that "deal was old and Angie's list would not remove posting." 8 more deals have been posted in the last week, however alleged "old deal" is still an active deal. We felt ad was a bait and switch to get business through the door. Office help stated maybe another company would give the deal if they needed the work, but her company was booked for several days.

The serviceman was quick and knowledgeable.

I called Innovative Garage Door Co. on New Years Day. The garage door on my rental property stopped working. Mike sent a crew out the next day during a snow storm to temporarily fix the door so my renters could use the garage. The following week, after getting parts, Mike came out and did the job. The job was great! Their office staff were polite and professional too. I will certainly call them again if I have any garage door problems.

We felt the price was fair. They called to schedule an estimate visit and called when they were on their way; the day the installation was to be done, they called on their way. My husband said that these people knew what they were doing and they did a great job, prompt, neat, etc. If we have a need, we will certainly call them again. Everybody at the company was friendly and helpful. We're glad we called them!!!

After noting that our garage door was not working and that a cable was broken, I called last night at 8:30pm to obtain "emergency service". After ringing for a long time, my husband was able to leave a voice message. As of 11:30am this morning, I still haven't received a call back. I had used them in the past and had been pleased with their promptness and quality work. I was disappointed, but found someone else locally who was out within the hour. They had an answering service (the woman was answering from her home in Oregon) that picked up after just a few rings, and scheduled an appointment within the hour.

This is my second time using Innovative and am glad to see there are still companies out there that take pride in their work and are honest. I will be using Innovative when my garage door motor finally does die for a new installation.

He a good job on adjusting and lubricating the opener components

Corrected an error made by me, clearing the sensor so the door can go down. I didn't notice that it was full of snow. He could have taken payment for such a simple thing and left, but he also greased all wheels and tightened anything to be tightened. He performed a service call that was above and beyond. He was polite and honest. He greased the screw track for the door opener. he made sure everything with the door was in working order and working properly. He also gave me a break for mentioning Angie's list. I will recommend him to all my friends and family!
