 + -1 moreWe hired Vito after interviewing a number of landscapers. We were interested in redoing the front of our house, and Vito impressed us as the landscaper who had flair, and was an artist as well as being a landscaper. During his interview, I I asked him, "If you had free rein to do what you wanted to do with the front if our house, what would you do?" After thinking about the proposition, his eyes lit up, and he came up with a beautiful plan that is very stunning! His plan showed that he had imagination and flair, and that he was not afraid of doing the unusual! The quality I appreciate about Vito the most is that he handles his business from the ground floor. He is out there with his employees, getting his hands dirty, and directing their actions to make sure that things are done the correct way. I like it when you see the owner of the company handling his/her business from the ground floor! He really wants to please you, and gain your approval! We also have his company doing the normal maintenance tasks such.as cutting the grass, and trimming the bushes, planting grass seed, fertilizing, and so on. Although he does not come out on these days, his workers are friendly, and willing to give it that extra to satisfy their customers. In this area, Vito's imagination and flair come through, also. We are very satisfied customers, and look to have a long relationship with Vito!
Description of Work: Vito redid the entire front of our house to improve the curb appeal. He, also, moved a tree we had in the front of the house to the backyard where it will get more sun.

I would use them over again and would tell others about them. These were the best service providers I have had all summer. I am doing remolding so I can compare them to the other workmen I have had here.

 + 1 moreshowed up promptly for estimate. provided written estimate detailing each area of work and cost. very helpful with suggestions and explained each area of work in detail. delay with work being done due to prior accounts and a week of rainy weather. arrived at site on time on day of appointment. performed all work within three hours. had adequate staff to do all work. great cleanup and full waste removal.
Description of Work: provided estimate for spring yard cleanup, clearing of planting areas of weeds and prep, placement of stone bedding along side garage, prep front planting area, weed killer application to lawns. Did work approx. three weeks later.

 + 0 moreGave me an estimate for a fairly big landscaping job. I liked what he put together, although he did not give me what I asked for & I'm not sure why. When I asked him to revise the quote to include the lava rocks I asked for (vs. other rocks) he told me it would be $500 more & he ended up quoting me $575 more. Asked him to break out the quote as I likely would want to make changes & it would be easier for me to figure it out if I had breakdowns - he wouldn't do it. He also told me a few times he's NOT a lawn maintenance company - which I see from other reviews he does do. I really wanted to go with him but it just got increasing difficult to communicate with him & the longer it took, the farther out his estimated install dates became. The last straw was we agreed on everything May 2nd & it was a week before I got his final proposal to sign, then in having to mail a check it would've been almost 2 weeks later - again delaying install. That was his delay (not sending proposal when he said he would, me having to follow up, then scanner not working so him mailing it) & I asked him to pencil me in since we'd been working together so long & this delay was on his end, not mine. He wouldn't do so & again, his install dates were going to be pushed out. I actually signed & sent the proposal back & had to tell him to tear it up & I cancelled my check - too bad, when the delay is due to the contractor they need to be a bit more flexible.

He actually did all that redesign work at a much lower cost than others were bidding and it came out looking incredible. Now he is doing weekly lawn service for us and we will continue to use him for anything we need in the future. Vito is our landscaper of choice for jobs big or small. His bids are very competitive, his crew is professional and courteous, and he values his customers.

 + 0 moreThe guy knows his business and really works hard to get you the best possible lawncare. He educated us on the current condition of our lawn. He identified plants we long forgot what they were and how to care for them. Our front yard pops. ( to us) The cost of service is aprox b/c my wife handled the accounting. We use him now for maintenence.
Description of Work: Vito landscapped the front yard by laying sod, sending two downspout drains underground, and nice big river rocks around a tree. He handled a feisty neighbor with tact and kindness. His crew worked well and there were alot of them too! They did the work shortly after we negotiated a great price ( with coupon) and in the ideal weather of fall.

Description of Work: This review is based on my most recent contact with the Lunar Landscaping. At the beginning of May I started to wonder when Lunar would be starting work since I had hired them last summer for lawn and landscape work. When I called I was told that letters had been sent out to all the customers weeks before and they had finished their "spring cleaning" and was starting to regular lawn maintenance. When I was asked if Ii needed my yard cleaned I told her yes and that I had not received any letter in the mail from them. She asked if I needed cleaning done and with the winter and recent flooding I did need work done. She told me that she would email me the letter so I could sign off on it which would allow the workers in my yard and on my property which I was very willing to do. She also told me she would talk to Vito, the owner just to verify the work could ne done and would call me about that. I rushed home from work and checked my email which had no letter so I called thinking maybe the eamil I gave her was taken down incorrectly. She said she didnt send it yet but was going to as soon as she could. She also said again she would talk to Vito. I thanked her again and waited for the email. That was on May 1st and I still have yet to hear or get anything. I was very happy with this company last year when they did my lawn and Vito was always very nice and willing to help out with ideas or suggestions. I like to hire local and keep it in the community which is also another reason I hired them.

 + -1 moreIt was perfect. The yard was cleaned up, huge old bushes removed and dug up, dirt was cultivated so I can plant flowers soon. The team was very fast but also very through with all they did.
Description of Work: Called and asked for someone to come out for a quote on spring cleanup, etc...Vito came out within 2 hours of call. We went over everything I felt I needed done and also on some things I want done in the future. He was very professional and very nice. I hired him for the clean-up and am also going to have him remove a tree stump and cleanup a tree that over hangs on the garage. He arrived promptly when he said he was and the job done was beautful!! I have already given his name to another prospective customer. Thank you again!!

He was very helpful in making suggestions for how to fix an area of the yard with poor drainage that was causing our window wells to fill with water. The quote he gave us was very competitive. His labor was a very small portion of the cost; the majority of the cost was due to the large amount of river rock we wanted installed, and that costs what it costs. He was able to schedule the work for the next week. His crew did all the work while we were at work; we never saw them. We came home the beautiful finished product. We will definitely use him again in the future.
Description of Work: Lunar Landscaping laid sod around a driveway and patio that we had had replaced. They also removed weeds and over growth from several areas of our property and laid river rock to prevent the weeds from re-growing. They also re-graded an area that had poor drainage.

His crew showed up the very next day and did a fabulous job. I decided to hire him for weekly maintenance as well. He also showed interest in helping me with other yard projects. His pricing was very reasonable and affordable.
Description of Work: Clean up from fall, power raking , aerating, edging and mowing. Trimming bushes, clean and remove debris Mulching for front and back yard ( 4 cubic yards) .
