I purchased an Angie's Deal for $99 for 3 hours worth of work. They came out and gave me an estimate on the work I needed that included the $99. I had back porch stairs that needed repair and lattice work, and a garage door that needed replacing. They showed up on time to meet with me for the estimate and then scheduled a date for completing the work. I was not in town when they did the work so can't say how long it took them to do the job, but everything was completed. They also came out and completed the work on the day it snowed and was very cold. I hadn't expected that. They followed up to see if I was satisfied with the work and only then sent me an invoice.

. My old bathroom had a small corner shower that was too small and I wanted a larger shower stall. I had a double sink which I could do without and a long glass block panel window in one corner on the wall with the stall. Angie's list to the rescue. I found a super deal for half price for a bathroom remodel from Home-DM Remodeling Co. I read all the comments made from previous customers and hoped they were honest. Even at half price up front that's a lot of money. I took a chance. Derek and Maggie (owners) are a perfect team. Derek came out to look at the project and said he could remodel at the agreed price and we set a date to start. The first day went smooth - they came on time and put drop cloths down in the walking and working area. They cleaned up after every working day and did not leave a mess. Every day was the same. I watched the work being done and was pleased with the way it progressed in a very professional manner. Derek would pop in from time to time and bring material and check up and was available for questions and concerns. I now have a very large beautiful shower stall and one sink and I love it. When the project was complete Maggie called and asked if everything was ok and asked if I had any concerns. There were a few minor things that Derek came out and fixed immediately. All in all it was a very pleasant experience (if you can call remodeling pleasant) and I would not hesitate to use this company again or recommend them to my friends.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for 3 hours of handyman time. I do not recall exactly how much I paid. Derek arrived on time and we reviewed the work to be completed. Then I drive him to Home Depot, where we selected a new fan and I bought the other parts. Once we returned to the house, Derek did a terrific job of performing all the work. He is exceptionally fast in completing work and very professional and friendly. Of the approximately 5 handymen I have hired, most through Angie's List, Derek was the best! Based on my conversations with him, I am confident that Derek could handle almost any project, from minor repairs to major remodeling. I would recommend him to anyone and am willing to discuss my experiences at 630 418-8322.

I used the Angie's list Big Deal for three hours of handyman services to replace my garbage disposal and sump pump. I purchased and had ready all of the necessary materials. Derek came on time and was so quick that he had both jobs completed, checked for leaks and perfect operation and cleaned up in a little over one hour. He would have done more, but he completed my to-do list. My only disappointment is that since he is so good, it took longer than i would have liked to schedule this appointment.

Derek was right on time, got right to work, had all the tools necessary to do the tasks I needed and even improvised when we didn't have the supplies to mount our bookshelf (he cut down a piece of wood we had). He was so quick that I ran out of things for him to do before the three hours were up. Darn! I would definitely use Derek again. Had I known that he did remodeling, I may have used him for our basement but we already had someone by the time I met him.

I bought one of the Big Deals for 3 hours of handyman services. Derek came to my house on time...actually he was early and waited for me to get back to the house. He was VERY fast and completed several jobs in record time. I only wish I'd put together an aggressive "honey-do-list" because he'd have been able to get through nearly all of them in the 3 hours I paid for. He finished the jobs and cleaned up after himself. He was very professional. Maggie, his wife handled the scheduling and worked to with me to make an adjustment to the appointment so it was more convenient for me. I am already making plans to have them come back and do additional work for me.

He did everything well, except that he was in too big a hurry, abd he made no apparent effort to see to the fact that the holes that he drilled in the windows were opposite one another by measuring before he drilled.

We haven't done the work yet. We are waiting for the new year. The quote was free. The estimate was for labor only; it didn't include the materials. We got multiple quotes from different vendors. They were very honest and gave us the best price. They were available to take any questions that we had. We may actually go with them. He was good and responsive.

Please see above. He was on time both days (estimate day and today, for doing the job.. He followed up as promised, via email, and his wife, Maggie, was very good about calling to schedule the initial appointment. GREAT communication. OUTSTANDING service!

I appreciate the way he tried to clean up after himself as soon as he was finished with the work. However, The baseboard was cut inaccurately. It was about half a centimeter too short. The bathroom ceiling wasn't polished. It was too bumpy. He did say that it needs another coat and sanding but it seems a hurried job. We hired a different handyman to install a drywall and that guy's work was clean and we paid $65 for 2 hours deal. This is the same wall section where this guy had to install the baseboard. This guy's work didn't come close. The hole in the wall that he patched up is messy. If I'd done it myself, it would probably end up looking the same and I don't have patching up skills/experience. Also, most of the time, he'd leave the storm door and kitchen door wide open when my heater was running full blast! He also seems to be in a hurry to finish up when we had paid for 3 hours and when he finished at the end of 2nd hour, he was ready to go. He didn't seem concerned to do an excellent job because in his words "you only paid $99 for 3 hours". I guess he's not interested in repeat customers.

Derek responded to my email but did not address my questions. He simply stated that everyone would have to wait like I. When I again asked how this could work, he then offered my money to be returned to me. I pointed out that I was simply trying to have a simple question answered and was not requesting return of my money. Again, my question was ignored. I then received an email at 8pm last evening informing me that Derek had "cleared his schedule for me" and would be at my home the next morning at 10:30am. I was instructed to have all materials for the work available. While that time did not work for me nor did I have time to procure the materials at such a short notice, I decided to accept Derek's offer as we do not have an upstairs sink at the moment and this was the work to be completed. I scrambled to rearrange my schedule and come up with the materials. At 9am this morning, I contacted Derek and let him know that I had to run an errand at 10:30am and would return by 11am. I asked they come then instead. I arrived home at 11:05am and there was no DM Home people at my home. I attempted to contact Derek to find out why they had not shown up but received no response. I sent another email at 11:15 letting Derek know that we were leaving and supplying my mobile number should they decide to show up for the appointment. I did not get a response or call. At 3pm that afternoon, I received an email from Derek claiming that they had shown up at 10:30am and we were not there. He was angry that I had not called him, despite the fact that we had only used email to communicate in the past and despite the fact that an email was sent to him with plenty of notice to push an appointment back by 30 minutes. My neighbors state they saw no one at my home in this time. When I requested my money back, and again asked the question about scheduling, Derek STILL refused to address my original question and told me a was a "bad customer". My experience with this company was one of dishonesty, shady behavior, lack of professionalism and poor customer service.

Derrick was very efficient and did quality work. He was easy to work with and very focused on pleasing his customers.

He arrived on time for the estimate appointment and seemed to understand everything I was asking for without taking up much of my time. I received a prompt and professionally written quote, but it was more than we had anticipated and so we could not afford to go forward with the work.

Thank you Derek and Maggie and the rest of the Home DM crew! We love our new kitchen and bath! We really appreciated that they were willing to work with our budget when Derek came over to give us an estimate. We were happy with the quote and he was able to start work about a week later. He and Maggie were very helpful and patient with us when we couldn't quite decide exactly how we wanted things done. They kept in touch with us via email and phone which was great since we both work downtown most days. We had a few issues with Menards but Derek was willing to help us resolve them. He and his crew were very pleasant and helpful when we had any questions. I would definitely recommend them.

They were extremely fast, efficient, professional and friendly. Their prices are very fair and we will definatly use them again.

New master bath looks terrific,and we have received many compliments.we were very impressed with Derek's creativity.

Derek remodeled our old basement, bathroom and unused room. They provided all necessary skills needed. Home Dm was very efficient and clean. Derek was knowledgeable with all my questions, and possessed great communication skill. I was impressed with his professionalism and how he went above our expectation.

Home-DM was remodeling my fireplace. They were professional and friendly. They cleaned up after themselves. I was very impressed and satisfied.

OVERALL I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE FINAL PROJECT.. DEREK FOR SURE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING . I WOULD RECOMMEND HOME -DM REMODELING.

The workers were friendly and polite, impressively clean, professional, on time. Several modifications were made and Derek was flexible and thoughtful on each issue. Very responsive to questions.
