The work had to be done twice (though the work on the gouge was done reasonably well the first time). The first twosome removed a lot of planks thus making the area much larger than 2-3 sq feet. Admittedly, the lack of a subfloor was an issue but I wish they would have realized that this was quickly becoming a bigger project than they could handle. They replaced the boards but in no way did it blend in. I knew it wouldn't be perfect but this looked like a bad diy job. To his credit, Glenn agreed it was unacceptable and redid the work. His carpentry was good. The one issue for his work was the stain. He applied stain and had planned to come back a little later to wipe off, etc. Something happened so the stain sat there from lunch into the evening. It was way too dark. My wife and I ended up bleaching the wood. For stain we went to a paint store. I was flabbergasted when told that they could match the current floor color from a sample. Within about 30 minutes, we had the exact match for all of $20. Why Glenn didn't do that (or even ask me about paying the money to cover the custom match) is beyond me.

Glenn gave an estimate, had paint samples to choose from which made everything go smoothly and I was able to sign contract and choose they color all at one time. Also scheduled the work. Glenn was very professional, kept the work site cleaned. The basement floor has never looked so nice!!

Mr. Glenn came on time and before performed work well. He did nice work.

He cancelled numerous times. He had his wife play the heavy to cancel. The work was shoddy and incomplete. He left it after yelling at my children. Wholly unprofessional.

When he first showed up, I wasn’t so sure. He was a really nice guy and he knew his stuff. I was really pleased with him. I would recommend him to anyone. He doesn’t put on a good front, but he does do good work. I wouldn’t say anything negative about him. They cleaned everything up when they were out here. They did everything they were supposed to.

The crew that came to pour the concrete left before the concrete set and left the forms in overnight. When they returned the next day and removed the forms, there was a gap where the concrete did not extend all the way to the bottom, leaving a gap where animals could burrow under the stoop. They fixed this by pouring a footing around the base to cover the gaps, an OK solution. There were holes in the sides where air was trapped and grooves where the forms had been, something that could have been corrected if they had stayed and removed the forms when they should have. They then put new concrete over the holes and the grooves, which of course did not match the original color of the concrete. This was brought to Glenn's attention and his final solutions were to paint the concrete, which had been rejected about $1500 before or to use an epoxy product that was guaranteed to last for 20 years at a cost to us of $800.00 . I found this very wrong and told Glenn that the sub should pay the $800 to correct their sloppy work, which suggestion was ignored. Glenn is a very nice man and did try to resolve the problems, but at my expense or with methods rejected before the work began. I am very disappointed as the previous reviews on Angies List were all good

Surprised there was an additional fee - for waiting time while the plaster dried.

Not well. See above. UPDATE: It's really a drag to have to sweep water into the drain on hot summer days (so that it doesn't become a breeding ground for mosquitos). I'd like to update my grade to D?.

I had him remove the old window treatment and and rehinged a bedroom door. He did an excellent job for me. I paid for an additional 2 hours to make sure he had plenty of time to fix everything. They were easy to schedule and showed up on time.

All went very well with the exception of minor touches (paint used to retouch around things he fied did not match original). He gave me 3 different appointments to finish the touches, and he did not turn up. ALways a good excuse, but nevertheless three times, then I stopped contacting him, and he did not come back or call to finish the minor touches. All in all, I would employ him again. But it could have been better if he finished the job to the last detail as he said he will.

Contacted provider to come out to do services. First attempt, the contractor did not show up. Contractor appologized and said he would send me an email the next day to reschedule which he never did. After a few weeks I asked again and he said he is available and I asked him to setup another appointment and he never contacted me again. To Angie's List credit, they refunded me the amount of the deal after hearing of my bad experience.

It went badly and I would definitely not recommend this company. The only thing in their favor was their courtesy on the phone every time I spoke with them. And, I understand that it wasn't a big job for them and I would probably be last on the totem pole, but they shouldn't put this offer on Angie's List if they can't fulfill the small jobs.

Shortly before the scheduled date for our work I got a call from Lori (I believe the name is correct) who said she was calling for Glenn to find out what work we wanted to be done. I explained to her that I had already discussed at length what we wanted done with Glenn, but restated my conversation with him . I must say she was very cordial and professional professional. She said she would pass on the information to Glenn . I received another call back from Lori saying Glenn wanted to know if we already had the electrical box, etc. available for "replacing" the light. I explained that I did not and that I had clearly told Glenn the light was a new installation. Glenn also wanted to know if we had a ladder; I told her no and again that I had told Glenn that the house was 3 floors high and that he had made no mention of my having to provide a ladder. She said she would talk to Glenn and would call me back. The next call was to tell me that Glenn could not do electrical work and he would have to have an electrician do it at extra cost AND that he did not have a ladder tall enough so would have to rent one, again at extra expense to me. I was quite upset, but since I had already paid $110 I was stuck with moving ahead; however I told him to forget about the light, that I would have that done separately. Also, he would have to reschedule the date again, which we did. The morning of the next scheduled date Lori called to say Glenn would not have to rent a ladder after all since he had a friend with a ladder her could use, but that he could not have it that day--another reschedule to for 9am 3/29/12, the date I am writing this. By 10 am this morning Glenn had not arrived nor had he even called to say he was going to be late. I called his office and talked again with Lori. She was very apologetic and said she would get in touch with Glenn on his cell. Again I must say she was very nice and professional. She understandably tried to explain that Glenn was having trouble finding help, that times were tough... I told her I appreciated the situation, but to not show up at all and with no call with an explanation was totally unacceptable and that I had lost all confidence in Glenn. I asked she please advise Glenn that his services were no longer needed, that I felt I deserved a full refund of the $110 I had paid in advance for services he obviously is unable to provide and that I would be completing a follow up review to Angie's list, and possibly the Better Business Bureau. Lori said either she of Glenn would get back to me today. At this writing at 5:15pm I have received no callback, not that I really expected one. I only hope this review will keep other subscribers from having the same very unsatisfying experience I did.

Poorly in every way... (See previous response.)

We had to reschedule once , but he did everything requested. He is waiting on a piece of flashing he had to special order to repair some damage.

I called close to the end of the deal date to see about making an appt for some small misc work. I was able to schedule something within the deal timeframe, and sent my certificate of insurance requirements. Unfortunately, his insurance company charges $100 to have an "Additional Insureds" statement in the certificate. I checked with my management office and they said some insurance companies do charge for this. He suggested we split the cost, but since this was a small workorder the cost was a bit excessive for both of us. So we mutually agreed to pass on moving forward with the appt.

Originally, only installing drywall in the closet was discussed, but it was obvious the 2nd floor railings and posts were in bad condition. I wanted a simple design for their replacement and Glenn built the posts to my liking. The bi-fold doors were also something we had talked about since the bathroom renovation and the new doors allowed more entry room.

I got a special from Angie’s List for $55 and in addition to that I spent $160. It was much more than what I expected. He advertises as a carpenter but he is not a carpenter. It was two hours of carpentry for $55 and that’s what the advertisement was. He is a handyman and not a carpenter, that’s what the difference was. I wasn’t happy with his work. He brought a guy with him and he was also not skilled. All together the piece that he took with him that he was supposed to fix, he didn’t fix. I would not use him again in the future. I was really disappointed with him and the fact that it was listed in the special. He gave me one hour with an unskilled laborer. The one hour of his time and one hour of his unskilled laborer that’s not equal to two hours of a carpenter. He also had to run to Home Depot twice in that one hour in extended to the task of what he did.

I wanted to have him finish off my media cabinet, which we had had to cut in half after purchasing a flat-screen TV. I made the appointment and purchased the molding per his instructions; and after taking off work and cleaning out the media cabinet (not an easy task, given all the electronics and wires), I got a phone call they he couldn't make it because another job was taking longer than expected. I rescheduled, again took off work, cleared out the media cabinet, and received another phone call that he couldn't make it and would have to reschedule. I rescheduled a third time and again, took off work and cleaned out the media cabinet, only to get a phone call 45 min. after our appointment time that he couldn't make it because the previous day was his birthday and he needed to get his driver's license renewed. I chose not to schedule a fourth time.

I utilized an Angie's List Deal, which is how I found this contractor. I communicated with Glenn through email (my preferred method). We scheduled the appointment a couple weeks in advance - I was not in a rush to get the job completed. Two technicians arrived within the time frame expected. The lead technician was very courteous and professional - ensuring I was satisfied through the entire project. They cleaned up after the job was done. I was very satisfied.

I called him to set up an appointment he said I am sorry I am not able to give you any times at this time. He said preferred point of contact is email so he gave me his email address. We did a lot of emailing back & forth. We set up 3 appointments. The first appointment he did not show. He emailed me he was sorry and reset another appointment which was about a week later on a Saturday. About noon on that day I received a call to let me know he could not make it and rescheduled for the following Monday. I went out and bought the fixtures for the job. I rushed home Monday after work and he did not come again. I just want others to be warned that he might be doing good work but you could be disappointed with scheduling conflicts. He is obviously very busy and just want to warn you may have to wait for him.

The experience couldn't have been better. Glenn gave me an EXCELLENT price and the job was actually started a day earlier than he said, which was nice benefit as he knew I wanted the job done asap. I will definitely be using Glenn's services again in the future as I had many services need in my house. I would really recommend Glenn and his team to anyone!

Glenn was very responsive. His team installed ceiling drywall which had been removed for a foam insulation project. They had to make two trips to complete the work and had some trouble finding the address each time but they got the job done in a timely manner. The final sanding was not completely smooth but I was able to remove some of the rough surface areas with sandpaper.

Glenn was very pleasant to work with, and put a lot of time in to make sure that everything was done right. The closet looks fantastic.
