Description of Work: We had two trees removed and one very large white oak tree trimmed. They did a fantastic job and used a cherry picker to help with the tree trimming. Their clean-up was excellent. I couldn't be happier with FJR TREE INC's friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and respectful service.

Description of Work: The Rep came at the scheduled time and gave an appraisal of removing a dying plum tree. We discussed putting in a replacement which will happen in the fall planting season.

Description of Work: Call to setup for an estimate to have a tree removed. Was informed that they would gladly provide a quotation at a fee of $50. This is contrary to the Angie List listing, which states 'free estimates' I don't need to pay for such a luxury, when there is so many out there who will truly provide a 'free' estimate.

Thank you for taking time to write a review, albeit a disappointing one. The fee for consultation was introduced recently this year out of necessity. Our demand is increasing and it has been very difficult to give everyone the proper amount of time they deserve when I meet with them, especially those that are further away from our office. I am on site with the crew every day and have consultations every afternoon as well as both weekend days. I do this while making sure I still have time for my family and raising two young children. At this point, most companies would choose to expand and hire more employees to take on this extra work load. The downside to this is that quality is often sacrificed, and I am not willing to tolerate that. We have a remarkable team and I have all intentions of keeping it that way. This fee is insignificant to those searching for high quality tree care, which is what we provide. I want to be able to give my full attention to those need and desire it and provide them the best experience possible. The consultation fee is reimbursed as a deduction on the total amount of the proposal should you chose us. After the first time we perform work for you, there is no fee for any future consultations. I appreciate you bringing to my attention the discrepancy on Angie's List; I have updated the information accordingly. Hopefully allowing me to explain to you the reason for the fee will incite you to actually have us out for a consultation, as you cancelled the appointment before we had the opportunity. Fred Roewer

Gave a free estimate. Suggested soil test before applying pest spray and fertilizer (he was the only one of 3 companies that suggested this prior to spraying/fertilizing). Arrived on time. All work done as discussed. All debris from tree trimming was removed. Clean up was excellent. Sought my input on trimming a tree in front of the house. Price was same as quote. He even used his bucket lift to trim top of tree in front even though we had not discussed this prior to work. Did not charge extra for use of the bucket lift. I would/will use FJR Tree Service again!
Description of Work: Trimmed 6 trees and took soil sample to determine how to treat 2 trees with some needle die back. Clean up all debris from trimming.
