Description of Work: Building Energy Experts is a first rate company. After contacting the company, I got a quick response and was able to schedule an energy assessment that fit into my schedule. Anthony was very good at responding to e-mails whenever I had any questions. He came out and did a thorough energy assessment (much better than a previous company I had used), and in just a few days, e-mailed me the report and an estimate for work to be done. We agreed on a date for them to come out and do the work, and they arrived promptly on the scheduled day at the scheduled time. The two man crew worked for several hours constructing can light covers and insulating the attic space, only stopping once for a quick lunch. Everything was thoroughly explained, and the crew went above and beyond in repairing several small problems that weren't even on the estimate. I would have no problem referring them to my family and friends.

Description of Work: I first contacted Building Energy Experts to evaluate the insulation in my home. The insulation was checked and subsequently fixed during another appointment. The installation of insulation to the problem areas proceeded well and within the estimated time. They workers were very professional, polite, and clean. The insulation appears to be working and air infiltration is lower. I would recommend Building Energy Experts to others.

Description of Work: They blew insulation into my attic. Very professional job. They tried to work with me and honor my requests. From cutting down on heat loss by putting a blanket over the gap in my front door to cleaning up after themselves I was very pleased with their service. I am considering doing more and would ask for them to return.

Description of Work: BEE (Building Energy Experts) sealed my attic from rest of the house & added new blown insulation in the attic. I believe the services provided will be benefital but will have to wait & see. The reason for the overall poor rating is that BEE crushed my attic ATT Uverse cables which caused a 48 hr outage for all my tv, phone & broadband services (note that the full outage didn't manifest until after BEE had left). New cables had to be placed in the house & I had to abandon all exiting cables in the attic. I talked with BBE & so far they have not offered to compensate me for the 48 hrs of inconvenience or for the yet to be determined ATT repair bill.

Description of Work: Added insulation to attic, built boxes around all vents and can lights, sealed around openings, added rigid insulation and sealer to crawl spaces in garage.

Description of Work: Add 9" of insulation to my attic. In addition, seal and add insulation to a crawl space behind the attic (cape cod style house with knee walls). Crew showed up on time and worked diligently to complete the work. The work was completed in about 5-6 hours. The cost of the service included an energy credit from the gas company which the contractor received as a part of the contracted price. The price obviously would have been higher if not for the included rebate. The crew crawled on their stomachs in an incredibly small space to seal openings, add air baffles, and blow in the insulation. They were extremely professional. The owner showed up and measured the venting efficiency of the gas appliances as part of the gas company rebate. I was surprised that the owner of the company would participate in such a small job. I loved working with them. Originally they requested a 50% down payment which I refused, but the owner of the company agreed that it was not required.

Description of Work: Purchased the big deal for an energy evaluation for $99. They came over three weeks ago, and I actually never even received the results from this company. I have not bothered to call and follow-up, because the whole thing was a sales pitch anyway. I was hoping for tips on how to improve energy efficiency in my home; instead this was merely an effort to get you to buy more services from them. In and of itself, the $99 is a waste of money - you get nothing in return for your investment unless you decide to have them do more work. | |In my opinion the "service" this provider came over to do should have been a free estimate. I did not get anything for my $99. When and if they do send my evaluation, that document will be useless to me until I hire them to do more.

Description of Work: First of all the evaluation was great. As we had expected we were losing heat from multiple sources. We learned of an energy credit where the gas company would pick up part of the cost. We accepted the bid and the work was performed. The crew was so professional and knew their craft. Great job, will use in the future and recommend to others.

After completing the audit he emailed me a quote for a solution plan that is good for 3 months from the date of the audit. I felt the audit was thorough and identified the problem areas (leakage of air) in our home. We were very happy with the service!
