We've had nothing but problems ever since.I've called them back like ten times to come and look at it and they only came back one time to take a look at it and they said oh, that'll go away.Every time it rains well there's a big dip in the roof.We actually had to have that roof entirely torn off that they put on there because it was leaking so bad inside the house, but I do not recommend them to anybody.I would not recommend them to a dead maggot.I called in another guy, and he said why'd you pay $10,000.What they do, they said that this what they were going to do, the house roof and the garage roof for $10,000. They oh we didn't write it up, they said we're just doing $10,000 for your house roof. I said wait a minute it was written down, they said well they said the secretary made a mistake and I said B%ll S%#T.I mean I was never so pissed off in my life.Then they just showed up one day and did the roof and they didn't tell us they were coming they just showed up.Screw them!Every time I see an M&M roofing construction place, I say don't use those people they're a## h@%es!

It went very well until they wouldn't take responsibility for front door porch roof leveling which they caused.. Other than that I would recommend M&M.

Not so well, consultant left without giving a written proposal of cost and work to be performed. Said he had to go out to his car and work it up, came back in and just quoted it'll be about $1960 to replace skylight. Asked how much is the window, said he wasn't sure he'll have to check and get back to me on that. Never got back so I went with another company instead whose cost was half. And was able to get two skylights for the price of $1900.

An estimator came out on time to look over the house. He could not have been more polite and professional. He told me he would have an estimate for me in a few days. After about a week I had a voicemail on my phone telling me to call back about the quote. I called, no answer. I then emailed the estimator using the email address on his business card. No reply. Finally I called the main business number, I asked about getting my quote via email. I was told I had to talk to the estimator, I explained that I can't get in touch with him. After this I am giving up. If it is this hard just to get a quote I can't imagine the job going well.
Description of Work: I tried to get an estimate on siding for my chimney and gutter guards.

There was a severe storm in my area in mid march and I had some roof damage. I filed a claim with my insurance company and was told that my repairs would be less than my deductible. I asked if they had a contractor that they could recommend based on the names that I found on Angies List and they recommended this company. I immediately called them and made an appointment. I was given an appt for Tues 3/29 from 12-2 pm so I took the day off work. On the day of my appt.at 2:15 the contractor had not shown up or called. I called the office and was told that they do not schedule in two hour blocks. They only schedule repairs in 4 hour blocks and mine was 12-4, I told them okay since I was already home. Once i hung up, I checked the email confirmation that was sent to me regarding my appt and it said 12-2! I called the office back and let them know that they send me a confirmation with 12-2. The lady who ASSURED me that they do not schedule repairs in two hour blocks apologized and blamed it on a computer error. (yeah okay) I told her fine and continued to wait for the contractor. At 4:20, I called the office again since the contractor had not shown up or called. The person who answered the phone acted like she was surprised then apologized and told me that she would have the contractor call me and give me an eta. I never heard from anyone. As of today, i STILL have not heard from anyone. I took the day off work for nothing. My roof still has the issue. This was unprofessional and completely WRONG. I find it hard to believe that this company could have some type of Angies List award when they don't even value their customers. I called my insurance company (Hartford) and let them know that they should not further recommend this company to anyone. At the very least, this company owes me an apology.

Was supposed to have an estimate done on Friday, the guy from M&m called and said he would be really late and would like to reschedule... I didn't have an issue with that but he never called back to give me the reschedule date... That's not how you conduct business.

Nathan did not instill any confidence in me that his company was interested in handling our issues. When I pointed out the area leaking in our shingled roof (near a dormer window) he told me that it could be two or three issues and they may not want to touch it because if they fixed one thing and that didn't stop the leak then they would be on the hook to come back out again to fix it. When it came to our flat roof, I told him we had an issue with ice daming which caused leaks in our family room the last two winters, he just kept saying that there is nothing he could do to fix that issue. I had to insist he look at the area I was talking about. The flat roof was not done properly in the gutter area (4 years ago replaced by another now out of business roofer) so it was causing leaks. Nathan told me he would talk to his team at M&M to figure out possible solutions and then give me a call. He also said he wasn't a flat roof expert, but with his comment about our issue with the shingled roof it sounded like he didn't really know much about any type of roof. Low and behold I never heard back from Nathan. I called the company the following week Tuesday (left a message on Nathan's cell and at the office) and then again on Thursday at the company. When I asked the office lady to have someone call me back, she stated it would have to be Nathan. Guess what? More than two weeks now and no one has called me back from M&M. Update 10/16/15: Nathan called me last week, after I left the negative review, and then sent me an estimate upon my request. We did not hire the company due to the estimate being high and the fact that it took a negative review for them to contact us again.
Description of Work: Nathan from M&M came out to give us an estimate to repair a leak in our shingled roof and an issue with our flat roof, as well as replacing a section of gutter.

I was getting water from the ceiling in my second story bathroom under a roof dormer, as well as in my kitchen and guest bedroom. The sales representative came out and provided a reasonable estimate and advised the company would be in touch within a day or so. I did not hear back regarding scheduling for several days AFTER paying in full. Thus the beginning of my ordeal. After several calls, I received a voicemail on a Sunday stating that a crew would be out first thing the next day--I would have appreciated more lead time. Two gentlemen showed up and began work and "finished" a 3-4 hours in. About 35 minutes later four Illinois state detectives in bullet-proof vests asked if I had roofing work done today and if I could possibly identify one of the workers as he was a wanted man. I'm glad I took off work that day and didn't leave my wife home alone. I began my plans on repairing the drywall/plaster in all three rooms. About a 2 weeks later it began to rain, the kitchen and bedroom were dry--great! Water started dripping in the bathroom--not great. I called M&M's main number to ask for a remediation of the issue. The sales rep called two days later and advised he would get back to me in a couple of days regarding scheduling. Nothing. I emailed the sales rep politely asking for an update to which he replied "we have been slammed." He asked when I can be available and I provided some times. I have not heard back. M&M should not be so concerned with getting slammed gaining NEW customers to disappoint, but should fully complete the job as outlined in the contract.
Description of Work: Replace loose shingles, repair flashing and replace soil stack cap on my two-story Cape Cod with roof dormer.

I wanted to reach out to you in regards to your experience thus far with M&M Home Remodeling Services. Please allow me to explain some of the answers for your concerns. The first concern you had was that a contract was written and paid in full and you did not hear back from us for days to schedule this project. When doing any project we must first start with the village to see what permits are needed if any. Then we must check to make sure the proper material for the job is on hand. It has been our practice to make sure everything is complete and ready to go before we contact the customer for scheduling. We would not have contacted you on a Sunday to schedule for Monday as our office is closed on Sundays. You would have received a call on Friday that was in your voice-mail on Sunday when you checked. In regards to the detectives showing up at your home looking for an employee. M&M was complying with local law enforcement who were looking for an employee who was believed to be working on your project but was not on the site. They were looking for him to question him as they believed him to be a witness to something somebody else had done. M&M goes through great lengths to make sure that our customers and employees are always in a safe environment. M&M also runs background checks on all employees who would ever need to enter your home. Now onto the issue of your roof still leaking. I am sorry that there was a delay in getting back in touch with you. It sounds as if your communication was primarily with the sales rep and not our production department. Our sales rep indicated to us that by your request the earliest we could visit with you was Wednesday 09/09/2015. We do have a process in place for customers that call in with concerns about work we just completed. Based on the contract, repair work does not come with a warranty, however in an effort of good faith we have come out to address this issue. On 09/09/2015 your sales rep visited your home and inspected your situation. He made some minor adjustments . If in the next two weeks this still does not resolve the problem, please do not hesitate to call in and ask for the production department and it would be our pleasure to assist you. The roof is still leaking in one area of my home. The company stated that the leak had nothing to their installation of the new roof. The whole point of getting a new roof was to stop the leaking. They will not come out to fix the issue.

They were good. They were thorough and professional. They did quality work. My interaction with them was good. The worked turned out good. We had one problem but they did come out and resolve it. They were expensive but I was happy with the work.

They were very thorough in their estimate for the work to be done and they did an excellent job. They were very clean and did the work in one day. It was not disruptive at all. They are coming back in the spring to replace the gutters.

Not only did they do a good job, they cleaned up very well. They didn't leave any debris so you couldn't even tell they were by the time they finished.

The provider sent someone to my house within a day or two of my call. The person they sent was polite and professional. The explained everything he was going to do, checked the 2 roofs and the gutters, did some measurements and gave me an estimate within a short time using a computer/tablet. He left shortly thereafter. I then called J E Roofing for a second opinion and got a much better price, so I went with JE Roofing.
Description of Work: Provider gave me an estimate for a house roof, a garage roof, and gutters.

When a person calls in and is told that somebody will call them for an appointment within 24 hours, that call information is documented by our office staff. From there the request gets transferred directly to me to be assigned to a representative. I also keep a log of all the requests that come my way. We don't have a record of you calling in from our office staff or my records. That is not to say you didn't call in, but that would be the explanation for no call back in the past few weeks. I was pleased. I called them back because I was a little concerned there was a dirt for what I thought was maybe tar or something on my window and it turned out it was dirt from my gutters because they put gutter covers on. They cleaned out the gutters prior to putting the covers on and that was dirt from the gutters. So, they sent the gentleman out and he cleaned my windows and I was pleased. With no discussion, I said what I thought was with the windows and they said, "No problem, we'll come out and take a look at take of it." And, they did. I have used them before on another home that I lived in and I have the same staff when I called with the concern. They've done a good job. I like the fact that they send out a representative to go over everything with you prior to the job and that's your contact person. If you have a problem, you have a person that you've met, someone of a relationship with that you can call back and I like that. The price is comparable.
Description of Work: I used M & M Roofing just recently. They just completed the job in September. They replaced my roofing in September. They put covers over my gutters. They cleaned the windows.

They were not the cheapest but it was an insurance job, they were able to get it done within the parameters of the insurance estimate that I was provided, I'm sure I could have got it done cheaper if I was paying the work, everything was fine.

company was prompt and very professional when they came out to assess the damage an ice dam had done to my rental property. my insurance company would be involved with funding. after my insurance company had sent me the check, I called M&M back and spoke to the same person who had been out to inspect my property. I told him I had the money from the insurance company and wanted estimates from him on the work I wanted done. since I was doing some of the work myself, I had some leeway as to how the money would be spent. after some discussion, I was told that unless I sent M&M the detailed paperwork from my insurance company, they "could not help" me. though I was speaking to the same person, his treatment of me was very different. so how would this have gone if my insurance company had not been involved??? I was not about to share information about the amount of the check and how the funds were broken down with M&M. I did not call back.

We apologize that the consultant didn’t do an adequate job of explaining our company policy. He should have been more informative in order to help you understand the reason behind this process. With insurance related business it is customary for the contractor to know and understand what the insurance adjuster has deemed appropriate for repair. Without having this information available we do not know if we are repairing the damage as the insurance company instructed. In order to do the job per the specification of the insurance company contractors need this information as a guideline.

On Friday, May 2, 2014 the roofing job began and ended. The front was not complete when my husband left the home late Friday afternoon. We thought the workers would return and we waited until we realized that the workers would be unable to return because nightfall had come. The next day we attempted to reach out to the owners and spoke with the Sales Rep only to be told politely that there was no way to directly connect with the owner and no one was available to solve the problem. The front of the house looks unprofessional and it not completed correctly. There was also debris left on the small roof connected to the kitchen.
Description of Work: The front was not complete. Only one side is painted on the brick and incomplete. The north side, top and a portion of the side that is painted is not complete. The back roof above the kitchen I am uncertain that it was done, as there is still a lot of debris on the back side. Despite these obvious oversights they stuck a sign in my yard to represent a job well done.

M&M began roofing work at your home on Friday May 2nd. We were contracted to remove and replace the existing roof including all flashings. On Friday the 2nd the crew was unable to complete the entire job in one day and left the home in water tight condition for the weekend. Over the weekend you called our office and wanted to speak with an owner but they were unavailable. Our Sales representative Tony did reach out to discuss the matter, however you wanted to speak with ownership. Upon returning to work Monday, May 5th the crew was scheduled to be at their home first thing to finish the work including the flashing on the front of the home. In addition a production supervisor called to hear any concerns you may have. Here are photographs of the finished work.
