Never got back with me
Description of Work: Provider came out to give estimate and said he would call me and me wife back. After going to office to write up proposal. Three weeks later no estimate. Guess this company has enough business. Highly recommended by inlaws

Description of Work: I have a leakage in my ceiling and I was hoping someone from this company could pin point where the leakage was coming from (i.e. skylight or the roof). Nathan who works for M & M called me prior to coming to my home and the conversation was disturbing and discouraging. Exact quote from Nathan: "We do not like skylights and if we come out and determine it is your skylight the cost would be $1500-$2000 and I prefer not to waste my time or the drive if we're not going to replace the entire skylight." I'm a first time home buyer and I was not comfortable with Nathan's response or wanted him to inspect my ceiling. I spoke to Jim who is the manager and he was very nice and offered to re-schedule my appointment with another person. I appreciated the offer however, after my experience with Nathan I wasn't really comfortable using their company at all.

Once again please accept my apologies for the miscommunication in working with our sales team. It was their understanding that you had a leak in the glass of the skylight. As our rep mentioned to you on the phone we do not do any repairs within that scope of work, as we feel that is not the proper solution. It is our goal to be able to provide value to any customer we do business with. Because of your work schedule he did not want to keep you waiting for him if it was not something we would do. The communication of that was not properly delivered to you and for that I am truly sorry. Once I heard you did not have a great experience with our representative that morning, I contacted you immediately to assist you. As we discussed if you felt the leak could be coming from a different area, it would have been my pleasure to have a representative visit you to diagnose the situation. You kindly declined. If at any time moving forward you have a need that you would like to have us take a look at, as long as it is within our scope of work, please feel free to contact me personally. I looked into our system and I don't see that you were ever scheduled for an appointment with M&M Home Remodeling Services. We have multiple places that you would show up in our records and I don't see you listed. If you are interested in a visit from an M&M representative, please just contact our office and ask for me and I will personally make sure you get in our system and on our sales schedule. Your comment that we only work certain towns is not one that would come from us. M&M works appointments ranging from northwest Indiana all the way up to the northwest suburbs of Illinois. Description of Work: They did no work. I wanted them due to Angie's list recommendations. The problem was that the sales rep wrote up an range of estimates for new windows and Hardy board siding. However, he would not leave it with me until I agreed to have them do the work.

First off let me say thank you for bringing this to my attention. I wanted to take a moment to explain why it is that our rep could not leave a proposal at your home when they visited. All of our presentations are done on an iPad and so the price and contracts all are featured on the device. We do not write out our estimates on paper as most people are use to having done when getting estimates in our industry. With advanced technology, M&M years ago moved in this direction to give a better presentation and service to all our customers. Since prices are stored on the iPad and can't be printed in the home, we can only email the estimates, and we do this regardless of the customer buying from us or not. If you would like an estimate for your needs, please feel free to contact me directly and It would be my pleasure to schedule one of our representatives to visit you. I asked them to try and correct a leak in my upstairs master bedroom wall. It seems that the rain gets in behind the siding at the roof peak in our Cape Cod on either side of the Ghimney. They came out and called me at work while on the latter. The representative said he couldn't determine leak area but would take picture and return them to company experts and get back to me in a week. Two weeks later, with no contact, I called again and had to leave a voice mail for that salesmen as the main office refers you only to that individual. He left a return message in a couple of days saying they couldn't determine cause and that they were sorry, they couldn't help.

They were very prompt and they were very professional. They even addressed some issues from previous work we had done on our gutters that were installed 4 years ago. They cleaned up their work area each day. This completely changed the look of our house as we went from painted black Cedar to a country beige color siding. We love it and we really recommend them.
Description of Work: We have a 1970's split level and the upper level was all sided with Cedar Ridge Siding. This is the foam back siding that provides additional insulation. They also added siding to part of an addition on our house. This work took three days to complete.

I HAD ASKED THAT THEY CALL ME BEFORE THEY CAME TO GIVE THE ESTIMATE SO I COULD SPEAK WITH THEM REGARDING SPECIFICATIONS OF THE JOB BEFORE INITIATION. THEY DID NOT NOTIFY ME OF THEIR ARRIVAL. I ASKED FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS INAPPROPRIATE AND THEY WENT AHEAD WITH IT WITHOUT INFORMING ME THAT IT WAS INAPPROPRIATE FOR RESIDENTIAL HOMES. THEY DID NOT DISCUSS THE INAPPROPRIATENESS OF THIS SUGGESTION OR MEASURE TO SEE IF THIS SUGGESTION WOULD WORK. INSTEAD THEY BEGAN INSTALLING THE EXTRA LARGE GUTTERS AND PRESSURED ME TO KEEP THEM ONCE I REALIZED IT WOULD NOT WORK. IF THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN PRESSURING ME TO KEEP THEM, THE GUTTERS WOULD NOT HAVE CONNECTED CORRECTLY LEAVING ME WITH A LARGE WATER PROBLEM. I DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE AFTER THIS INSTANCE.
