M/R Plumbing Mart

I want to stress that the D grade in professionalism was NOT for the actual plumber himself, but rather the management who dealt with me over the phone. I was having my 50 gal whirlpool gas water heater replaced with a 10 yr warranty Rheem 50 gallon gas water heater. The plumber arrived, his name was Art, and when he turned off the water main to my condo the gate valve snapped in the off position. I had to call my condo association and have them turn off the water, but this required 24 hour notice. Art said he would come as soon as the water was shut off the next day, which was not a problem besides no water for 24 hours (not the plumber's fault). Art came the next day, replaced the broken gate valve and put in a ball valve and then replaced the water heater itself. There was a small gas leak that I noticed about three days later, but Art came back and fixed it free of charge. I have to say the plumber himself was the absolute best, a truly honest man. Once the valve broke he said to just let him know when the water is off and he would come back and fix it. And he said that my issue took top priority to his boss over the phone, which was nice to hear. Now I would like to talk about the management. So when Art came by the first time and the valve broke, he called his boss and told him about the problem and mentioned this is a high priority issue. Art then tells me to call the office once I know what time the water will be shut off the next day, and he will come by with a 6 year warranty heater (Notice I said I bought a 10 year above, but I will get back to this alter) . So about 20 mins later, I get off the phone with condo association and call back the Plumbers. A man named Mark answers and he said he was familiar with the situation and had spoken with Art earlier. I mention that the water will be shut off between 1:30-4:00pm the next day. He then responds saying "Oh, 1:30-4? We are very busy I hope it can work out I will give you a call tomorrow and let you know." This was disconcerting, but I asked if he needed my phone number and he said "No we have it." and then hung up. I then remember that Art said "6 year warranty" so I go back to Angie's list to look at my receipt and lo and behold it says 10 year warranty. Art was not aware of the specifics of the Angie's list deal so I called back and Mark answers. I mention this discrepancy to him and he says "No, that can't be right a 10 year kit will cost you at least a few hundred more dollars, there is no way we can do it for that price." I then mention that I explicitly purchased this deal because it was $995 for a 50 gallon 10 year warranty. Clearly agitated he retorts saying "I don't know anything about that I will have Kevin call you," and then abruptly hangs up without explaining who Kevin is. The next day I get a call from Kevin (great guy as well) at about 11 am and he says the plumber will be by my condo at 12:30. I mention to him that the water will not be shut off until 1:30 and he says "Hmm I have here 1:00-4:30 the water will be shut off." Incredulously, I realize that Mark had written down the wrong time the day before. However, Kevin says it is no problem the plumbers will just have time to get ready. I mention the 10 year warranty vs 6 year warranty issue. He says it may have been a typo or a mistake but he will of course honor it, which was a relief given Mark's response a day earlier. All in all I would have to say everything was super pleasant, particularly the plumber Art, and the work was done well. The only issue was Mark. I myself have worked in catering, restaurants, and landscaping and I am aware of the frustrations that can arise when doing trade jobs. That being said, he needs a lesson in professionalism and I would avoid working with him at all costs. Instead ask for Kevin.

The service provider came out and check out my water heater, then said he couldn't fix it, as I needed a new one. Said I could get a refund since I didn't end up using the deal.

Plumber was up front and did not try to up sell.

the installer came within a few hours of my call. i watched every move he made. he was really professional in his work and his manner. i couldn't have had it done by my best friend any better.

Serviceman was punctual and professional. Took about 1.5 to complete all the work. They provided replacement garbage disposal. However, disposal was replaced with one of lesser quality without prior approval. I thought the total bill was a bit high for the amount of work done and disposal replacement. Followed up with a call to inquire about the price and receive an itemized invoice for the service. Was told they get right back to me. Never did. Work was fine, but pricey. Should of got a written estimate prior to the work being completed. Wouldn't use them again.

Rob arrived shortly after he called to say he was coming. Tried to snake out drain from sink, wasn't working; then had someone else bring larger equipment and snaked out from the clean out on main pipe going out to street. The 4 inch pipe was completely packed from 50 years of use. Rob also pointed out and fixed minor plumbing problem under the sink that should have been repaired by previous plumber I had out here. I'm sure Rob expected this to be a quick job on a Saturday morning but it ended up taking over 2 hours.

They were very helpful and professional both on the phone and in the showroom. Helped with finding the right boiler and with promptly scheduling a replacement, quicker than I expected! Price was about right, not too high or super low.

After a slight scheduling delay, Nick arrived at my mother's and cheerfully went to work. He was the one we first used in our own home and he did a great job clearing our pipes. So we called to have them install a toilet for my mom at her home. Nick arrived, worked hard and was very professional. Unfortunately, the toilet started making a loud noise during the night. It was loud enough for my hearing impaired mother to have to use ear plugs to sleep. When she called the next morning, the man who answered the phone was barely polite. The guy who fixed it (not Nick) also made her feel a bit uncomfortable when explaining the work. My brother, who overheard most of the conversation, confirmed what was said. We liked Nick, and understand mistakes can be made, but would have appreciated a more professional demeanor in the other workman.

I found water on my utility room floor. I checked stationary tub drain and washer, it was not them. I looked under hot water heater and could see a lot of corrosion on the bottom and water dripping from seam. I called M/R Plumbing Mart and told them what I needed. They suggested a Rheem heater and said that with installation it would be $900. I told them l was ready when they were. They said they could have someone out within a hour. Plumber Eckmayer showed up within that hour. He put covers on his shoes when he came into the house. I took him to the water heater, he took a look and said it would not be a problem. He got to work right away. He noted my gas shut off valve for the water heater was going to have to be moved because the location did not allow it to be turned to the off position. He brought the old water heater out of my basement on his own and brought the new one in on his own. He was careful going in and out of the house. My water shut off valve at the water heater was frozen so it has to be replaced, that was an additional $25. He then installed the water heater and explained what to expect for the next few hours. He was in and out in about a hour, hour and a half. He also took the old heater away with him. Pleased with the service and would use again.

They were able to fix the problem and I have had no further problems. They seem very honest and I was happy with the service. I've recommended them to friends and family.

He came, surveyed problem and made good suggestions to solve problem. Cut out old pipes and trap canister and replace it with new pipes and "p" trap system. I liked his idea, he gave me quote of $427. I agreed and he started work, it took 2 hours, he did neat job and cleaned up the mess. He presented his bill and I gave him my $35. Angie's list coupon which as accepted, my final bill was $392.

I was thoroughly pleased with M/R Plumbing. This review is actually over two projects performed. I had not had a chance to write a review for their work when we first moved into the house. The home purchase came with a broken wall mounted toilet. From our research and phone calls with numerous plumbers, residential wall mounts are quite rare and most of the plumbers could not find us a replacement within the needed time frame. M/R Plumbing obtained a new toilet and installed before our movers ever reached the home. This project included $500 for the toilet (as I said, rare) and about $250 for labor. Today, M/R Plumbing was willing to work around our work schedules and came to repair a sink clog and leak. The plumber was very nice and quite knowledgeable. We really appreciated their work and the $250 for this job was well worth the cost. I had already given up my entire Sunday to trying to fix the sink myself. We will keep them at the top of our list of plumbers for future work, as is evidenced in this review, already using them again.

It was a wonderful experience to work with this company. The appointment was easy to make and convenient. They called when Nick was on his way and he arrived in a timely manner. Nick was professional and well-groomed. He patiently answered my questions and gave me thorough information so that I could make an informed decision - all with no pressure to purchase. When I decided what services I wished to proceed with, Nick was able to complete the work right then. I have definitely found a new plumbing company!

I needed a new plumber. My old one was cranky and expensive. I kept putting it off until I had to do something about the kitchen drain. I looked on Angie's List and found M / R Plumbing Mart, nearby and with an A rating. In addition, I had seen one of their trucks in the PetsMart parking lot with a smiling dog in the passenger seat and I figured they were my kind of company. I called and made an appointment. They called the morning of the appointment to say they were running late and could I wait; yes I could and I really appreciated the call. The man who came (Art) showed me identification. When he arrived he greeted my dogs with pets and some talk, and then asked me to put them in the yard while he did the work, which seemed totally reasonable. He checked all the situations, explaining everything as he went and patiently answering questions. He warned me that the pipes in the kitchen might be damaged by the rodding-out process as they are old. He was very careful and took his time, with no resultant damage. He checked the septic tank outside, which I appreciated since in 10 years I'd never had the lid off and had no idea what condition it iwas in. As it turned out, everything is fine. He took a look at all the visible pipes in the basement and explained what they were for. He even gave me ballpark figures on updating bathrooms. When he was done in the kitchen, he cleaned everything up and even put things back in the cabinet under the sink. In addition to being very professional he was personally very nice. All this was accomplished in about an hour. I cannot really say if the price was too high, too low, or just right; it seemed fair to me. I would absolutely use this company again and have already recommended it to a couple of friends.

Great job, came out shortly after the bad rains we had in mid april. Were prompt getting back to me a few weeks later when I had further questions.

Was able to have a someone out on a Saturday morning which was a pleasant surprise. Didn't have to take time off work to have the service performed. Arrived on time and only took a few minutes for him to figure out what was causing the leaky showerhead, Such a relief to have that problem solved. Replaced kitchen faucet. Work was completed in a very short time. Repairman was very neat, clean and respectful of my home. So pleased to have the work done and no more leaky faucets.
