Description of Work: We had an in home presentation from Trost for a new composite materials deck. They showed us samples of the top quality material they used (AZEK). They could not give us a price that evening stating only that they would mail it to us. We asked for a copy of the drawings to be emailed so that it could be submitted to our HOA review committee and again, the response was that it would be mailed. | |After approximately 10 days, we received the bid in the mail with a hand drawn rendering of the proposed deck. The mailing included a list of references that was created on a typewriter. It became clear to us that this company did not use any computers in its operation nor did they have the ability to use email. | |With such a slow response, we did not want to ask for a plan modification. We went to another company with a showroom and the ability to change the plan on the fly. We got a price right away on a deck that will meet our needs. | |Our friends say Trost does good work but we needed help with the design so that we could get something we wanted without completely breaking the bank.

+ -1 moreWe talked to 4 or 5 different fence contractors but decided on Trost because of all the extras they provided, their guarantee, 6 mos. same as cash, and the good feeling we got talking to the sales people. They called back when they said they would and arrived at our house on time. They're very knowledgeable about their products, and everyone seemed professional. The installers came when there was snow on the ground, but it was melting, and they took care not to muddy up the yard. Overall, we think they did a great job, and we're very happy we chose them.
Description of Work: Trost built a 4 ft. fence that we picked out from their showroom to the specs of our yard. Two installers (that work for Trost - no sub-contractors) installed the fence in a day and a half. To prep the yard, they trimmed back some bushes, removed a small brick wall, and hauled this stuff away.

Debbie figured the pricing for me based on the measurements I gave her. That was very helpful. She invited me to their showroom and also to the home shows that they were going to be at.
Description of Work: Gave estimate on 12 x 14 vinyl deck with steps.

+ -1 moreVery positive experience. Several years ago, Trost installed 48'' fencing on three sides of our yard, as the neighbor had already installed fencing. I recently asked Trost to come back to install the fourth side and two sections of privacy fence as the neighbor removed their fence. They were very pleasant to work with, did the job on time and with great quality. They even re-installed several posts from their previous work that had come loose at no extra charge. It's a family business that I would strongly recommend.
Description of Work: Installed both 48'' vinyl fencing and 72'' privacy fencing.
