It would have been nicer if they had sent out two painters to knock the job out faster but the one man who did come took pride in his work and did a nice job.

Tried to get Carlos to come out and give me an estimate. Spoke with a young child. It appears Carlos doesn't work on the south side of chicago. Shouldn't be listed in Angie's list

Carlos Professional Painter did a great job with the drywall patching and painting in my condo. His prices were lower than the competitors that I got quotes from and was able to do the work shortly after agreeing to price where many other vendors said booking was 2+ weeks out. I highly recommend Carlos for any painting or drywall needs.

After The Carlos Company rescheduled my project time, their contractor, Giovanny showed up almost an hour late. Within a few minutes of his arrival, he asked me how much I paid for the service, which I found strange and was not comfortable discussing with him. He said the company who contracted him does not always pay well, etc. and again I had to shrug my shoulders and steer the conversation away from that topic. He got to work and it was clear he was good at the job, very thorough and clean. I had to step out for a short while (5-10 minutes) and when I returned, he told me that the company would be calling me shortly. When I inquired about what they were calling me for, he could not provide an answer. The company did call me and explained that they didn't know I needed a bathroom painted. I reminded them that I had stated it was a bathroom project in all of my correspondence, that there was nothing in the fine print about "no bathrooms," and that my room was well under the maximum size restrictions. The representative then said, "Yeah, but bathrooms always take longer to do." I again referred to the fine print on my Angie's list receipt and there was nothing in it regarding the length of time for the project. At this point he had barely completed 2 hours of time! I was getting rather frustrated with the phone call and said to the woman, "What is the purpose of this phone call?" She, like the painter could not provide an answer. The whole thing left me feeling like something shady was going on. I can't know what it was, but it felt like they wanted to hurry him along so he could be free to go to another job, or find some infraction in my use of his services for which they could ask for more money from me or disqualify me and release him. I'll never know and I don't want to know. His work was quality and I fully believed he would complete two coats in less than 4 hours. He ended up being done in about 3.5, but there was NOTHING in the fine print about time maximum or restrictions on bathrooms. I realize these jobs are often sub-contracted out, but the fact that I was being asked by the painter how much I paid and then receiving a vague and fishy phone call left me very unsettled. This is not the kind of professionalism I have come to expect from Angie's List. Painter for a day? Not even close. When there is no stipulation on how many hours constitutes a day, don't call me and attempt to make me feel guilty about a project that at that time was only in it's second hour.

Complete rip off, no services done, no follow up by the provider or Customer service. Membership will not allow me to even speak with a representative to discuss my issues, my first experience with Angie's list has been a complete disaster, I do not recommend.

No problems at all. They arrived on time, did professional work, cleaned up after themselves, and didn't try to up-charge. I have their card and will use them again.

Our bedroom has vaulted ceilings and he managed to do the work with a 6 foot ladder and did not use any tape at all. It was very impressive. I would definitely have him back out for future paint jobs and will also pass his number along to friends and family.

It in a rather large kitchen and he did a great job with it. I liked the end result.

It was excellent. I use him every time a tenant moves out. His prices are really comparable. If something goes wrong he will always be there to fix any issues.

He did a good job! The price was good for two small bedrooms and the touch up of the paint on the ceiling. I would use him again and recommend him in the future.
