Overhead Garage Door was initially called out on Friday, 9/12/14, to repair a burned out light fixture in a 13 year old garage door opener. The technician came out and was able to replace the bad fixture, but told us after inspecting the entire garage door opener system that the sprocket that held the gear together on the chain drive was worn. The unit may have had a life span of 6 months or less. The technician recommended either rebuilding the entire unit, or replacing it with a new chain drive or belt drive garage door opener. He explained very thoroughly in understandable terms the pros and cons about repairing the existing device, as well as the advantages and disadvantages between installing a new chain drive or belt drive garage door opener he had to offer. We chose the new belt driven garage door opener. The installation took less than 1 hour. The technician was very professional, affable, knowledgeable, hard working, and knew how to use his time well. We phoned the company back on Wednesday, 9/17/14, after noticing an annoying imperfection in one of the light fixture lenses on the new belt driven garage door opener. Also, we had problems trying to program the new remote entry keypad at the front of the garage door to only have it work in an open and close door mode without using just the enter button on it according to the instruction sheet. We spoke with one of the managers at Overhead Garage door about the matter over the telephone. He was very amiable, understanding, professional, and accommodating. We mutually arranged a convenient time for his technician to arrive at our home during the morning of Saturday, 9/20/14, to remedy the new garage door opener problems., The same technician we had on Friday, 9/12/14, arrived on time and replaced the defective light fixture lens, and programmed the remote garage door opener key pad to work in the mode we couldn't get it to function in. The work was done in less than 30 minutes. We would certainly use this company again for a new garage door opener system, garage door maintenance matters, or even purchasing a new garage door. As a matter of fact, the current aluminum garage door was installed by this company in May, 2010, and is still in exceptional condition!

Was on time. Pleasant and helpful. Appeared to enjoy his work. Had required equipment to change garage switch. However switch didn't work with the garage door so reattached the old switch and changed the battery.

They were on time and professional. They were also knowledgable about issues I was having with the door.

Within two weeks after we placed the order, Kevin scheduled the installation and Matt installed the doors. We were very impressed with Matt's knowledge and work ethic. He arrived at our home as scheduled, was very polite and very customer-service oriented. His knowledge of garage door removal and installation was exemplary. He answered all of our questions during the installation and completed the job in a timely manner. Matt cleaned the entire job site before he left and hauled away our old doors. Scheduling an appointment was fine. There was one technician here doing the work. He gave me a basic explanation of what he was doing in the appointment. I was expecting a little bit more of an adjustment.

The technician was very polite and willing to explain what he was going to do or why he thought something needed to be adjusted. It was a real friendly encounter. He was very professional. They got the job done in about one hour. The scheduling was very easy.

The door bowed a little and I did not want to force it to go up. I called them and he was able to lubricate everything and the door is working well. He chopped up all of the ice to make sure it was all clear. He was very polite and they give good customer service.

The technician with this company that did the repair - Scott B. was the absolute greatest. Super nice guy, very knowledgeable, very detailed and cares about his work quality. Very nice technician, explained what he did and what was going on with the door. Very pleased with the service.

The lower side of ratings is due to- 1. Using Motor oil for lubing rollers when silicone or lithium grease is current standard. 2. Using Motor oil for lubing nylon sealed rollers which does not need it to begin with. 3. Using WD40 everywhere else. The torsion spring was installed without any issues.

It turned out very well. I thought the technician was very personable, intelligent, and I thought they were great. They got the job done in about 30 minutes. The scheduling was great and it turned out very well for me.

Very smooth. Noticeable difference before/after in the amount of noise associated with the garage door opening....much quieter after.
