XPERT FLOOD CONTROL INC

The only problem with XPERT was getting them to meet date and time to start the work. We were able to agree upon a date whcih was a little longer from contract signing to actual start then we had wanted but within reason. We gareed upon a date in which I could be home in the morning when the crew arrived and my wife would be there the rest of the day. The first day was a nightmare in which no one showed up and we were never notified about a delay. This unfortunately happened on several occasions in which a date was agreed upon and EXPERT either failed to show or were late. However once they stated the job and we could deal directly with their foreman things ran perfectly. The workmanship was excellent and within a week after the install was completed we remained dry while several of our neighbors flooded. They removed the grass in such a manner that they were able to replace it once the basin was installed that it was hardly noticable that there was a basin cover in my front yard. As the job took several days they even watered the grass daily so it wouldn't die. I would highly recommend XPERT for their craftsmanship, cost and product. However if you were to use them I would build in some type of protection for delays. Also if you plan on paying by credi card they up the cost to cover the credit card finance charge, you may want to resolve this ahead of time, if your paying by cash or check it doesn't matter.

I am on a yearly contract with this company. They were polite, businesslike and were very good workers. Almost all the houses in our neighborhood are having flood control systems put in. I will use them again in the future.

OK. This experience has two components to it. 1. They initially said they were installing the system at the end of October 2010. Two weeks went by and nothing. I called and they said they were coming in one week. Nothing. Called again, excuses/explanations, re-schedule and again nothing. This process lasted until December 18th, 2010. They are not reliable at all in terms of scheduling the job and honoring their word. This is why I gave them Ds in my rating for the three last categories. 2. In opposition, the crew was very professional and the head crew explained everything to us during the process and was very happy to answer any questions that we had when they finished. This is why I gave them an A for quality. I will call them again since the system needs to be serviced once a year. The Xpert Flood system seems very good. I would recommend the system if you're willing to put up with item 1.

Everyone was professional - Patrick - owner, Miguel and Sean - Manager and Foreman, Angelica - in office. What separates this company from the others I researched is they hand dig instead of truck dig. This allowed my fence and yard to remain intact. The hole was 10 feet deep for the valve system and another 3 feet deep for the ejector pump. They use double valves, not all companies do. The pump is connected to my curcuit breaker box. They house the flood control system in a hand built cement igloo. Grass is put back. The yard is intact. It needs to be checked/serviced once a year. They were all very easy to work with. I was put on a waiting list for a number of months - the wait was worth it. I feel I have an excellent product.

I called three times. The first time I left a voice message. After waiting a few days, I called a second time and spoke with someone who said Patrick would return my call. I called a third time a few days later and spoke with someone who reiterated Patrick would return my call. I understand people are busy, but a courtesy call would suffice.

They did a great job, I especially appreciated the drain pipe work which they did inexpensively and very carefully. Miguel even called me downstairs to take pictures before they repoured the concrete. We had to wait two months for the backflow preventer, but they did deliver right around when they said they would. They do seem like a company whose success has outpaced their manpower, both in the field and in the office. It was hard to pin them down as we got closer to the estimated start date; we had other projects waiting on theirs to complete and were on hold for a while because we couldn't get an answer as to when they were starting. Once they did, though, everything was extremely professional and the work was great.

We were concerned about an area in our front yard that was showing signs of sinking. The area was adjacent to a below ground flood control system that had been installed 12 years ago. Xpert ran a camera through the sewer line both out to the street in front as well as under our house to the rear catch basin. We were satisfied to learn there were no breaks in the sewer walls that would indicate leakage. The team was prompt, thorough and polite. They answered our questions satisfactorily and offered other general information.

Did not show up at scheduled appointment (after I had taken time off from work) and did not return phone calls.

They're very knoweldgeable and they know what they're doing. They were professional in the sense that they spoke to us without being condiscending. We were happy with their work, they were on time, and they were thorough. They make have been a little rushed because they have a lot of work, but overall they were great.

I had received the recommendation from the List. They were very good, professional, and it was a nice job. The workers were excellent; representative, Paul, came first and spent a lot of time explaining things to me. They kept right on it and it took about three days in total. Very neat and hauled the dirt away. Overall, it worked out very well. What was nice is that I only had to put about $800 down and the rest wasn't due until the job was completed.

Xpert came out to quote us on the seepage issues we were having in our basement, they quoted us for just the front portion of our basement because we already had flood control in the rear area of our basement (told to us when we bought our house 4 years previous). Still, we had to have the interior of our basement gutted and Xpert was great at working with our contractor in coordinating work days and keeping us posted on their progress. Once they started working on the front part of the basement, it was discovered that the rear flood control was not working at all. The system that was installed was out of code and basically clogged with stones and mud. Xpert was able to install the flood control in the rear of the basement at the same time and for much less than the front was costing. It was nice to know that even though they had me "over a barrel" they didn't try to rip me off. Plus, because of my gangway being so narrow, they had to hand bucket carry the debris out and hand carry in the new gravel that was being set in the trench. We knew this beforehand, but Xpert didn't flinch at the obstacle. I have about 1200 sq ft perimeter basement.

I moved out to a different house so I no longer use them. I was using them for 14 years. They were good. Their prices were good. They used to show up on time and the quality was good as they installed the flood control system.

They gave an estimate and wanted to replace the whole sewer system instead of replacing one part.

They are very reliable and they show up on time. They do the work that they say they are going to do. We never had the basement flooding problem after they worked on it. They have always given us good advice. Now they come and rod out the sewer line regularly.

We have had them do other works too and they previously installed drainage system for our house. This was the second job that they did for us to install the flood control system. They knew their work already, were responsive and price was good. They did a quality work.

My basement flooding had been getting worse over the years. Xpert was one of three firms to quote the job. They were price competitive and had the most comprehensive quote. The other companies had a lot of hidden extra fees, whereas, with Xpert everything was included. They were very professional, listened to my concerns, and provided me a very frank assessment of the situation. They showed up when they said they would, they did exactly what they said they would, and cleaned up after themselves. I was very impressed and would use them again in a hearbeat.

I needed to find a way to disperse water that was accumulating in my back yard. Xpert did a great job of developing a solution using "bubble pots" that would let the water naturally disperse throughout the property. They did exactly what they said they would with no hidden fees or surprises.

XPert gave us a great deal to do both jobs at one time. We did have to wait about 6 weeks to start the job because of the waitlist. Once XPert started, they were very professional and always cleaned up the work space at the end of the day. The job took much longer than expected because of the location of the sewer line and multiple layers of concrete that was in the basement. Even though it took longer than expected, the company didn't change the original quote. Overall, XPert did a great job and were very respective to our entire family. We haven't had our first rain storm yet, but we are looking forward to it now!

It went very very well. We had several estimates, and this was the most complete service within the price range. They scheduled us and then called the week before to remind us. They called again the day before to say the guys would start work. They began by digging a hole, but completely covered it up before they left for the day. We were having a party on the Saturday, and they had guys working until 7:00 that Friday night to finish everything up. They left the yard with only a trace that they had been there (and if I had been diligently watering it there probably would have been to sign of the digging at all.) They hauled everything away, were professional, prompt, and I didn't pay a dime until the project was completely done. Great job and I would recommend them.

It went very well, I got a call Friday morning that they'd be out to do the work that afternoon, sure enough when I got home, a crew of guys had dug down to get to the sewer line. When I got home from work on Monday, the only sign that anything had been done was the lack of snow in my front yard.

The job went according to plan. The expertise and know-how to get the hole dug and install this system was awesome. The crew was very neat and knowledgeable! Everything aspect of the installation was explained to us. The job was finished on time and I feel very satisfied that if the problem happens again, we will NOT get sewage in our home again. The town became a little tiresome with inspections and such, but they handled every aspect and we never had to get involved. It cost a little more in our town, but that was due to our town's regulations and specifications, not of any fault of Xpert. I would recommend their services.

They came out and had everything completed in one week, it was wonderful!

Patrick and his crew did a great job. They were able to schedule us in fairly quickly, and then actually moved the date up when they had a delay on another job. They dug under the front steps rather than tearing them out like others had estimated. It involved a lot of digging in a very tight space, but they took care of everything and left the small front yard in good shape. I made it clear that I wanted the work done by the book and that they needed to get a permit. Patrick supplied me with copies of the permit and the name of the inspector that came out without my even asking. He also included a fully transferable warranty on the work that they did. My only complaint was that they did a little extra work I did not want. I called and they came out right away and corrected the problem.

The owner came out to give the estimate and was very knowledgeable. He explained everything that needed to be explained and answered all of our questions.

Their technicians came out twice after two separate storms took out two different pumps. It looks like a power serge took out both pumps.
