Vince at Xpert answered the phone and was friendly. He said the owner, Patrick, would come on Sunday at 4:00 PM, because the regular sales guy was in the hospital. I said Patrick didn't have to come on Sunday, that I could wait til Monday or later in the week if that was more convenient for them, but Vince said Sunday was fine. When I asked for a cell or weekend number for Patrick in case of change of plans or a no show, Vince said "not to worry", that Patrick would be there at 4 on Sunday. 4:00 PM came and went- Patrick did not show up and did not call us.

We flooded approx once every 4 yr period in Chicago, but wanted to finish basement. Flood control was already installed, but wasn't done to code, pump electric had failed and 3 top flood control companies said they would not fix but could install new system. I was unhappy but I understood they didn't want to be responsible for another companies poor workmanship. Expert sales explained process well and laborers were clean and efficient. Work completed in less than 3 days. Previous system installation took weeks so I was very happy with Expert. We received 3 bids from the 3 top FC companies and all were within $100 of each other. The only suggestions for Expert would be to remain in closer contact with client regarding scheduling and to be able to recommend or have on call a gutter service. City of Chicago code demands downspout reconfiguration which left us scrambling to find as downspout solution which wouldn't flood our neighbors 3 feet away, or damage our foundation.

Very nice, professional people. There were some miscommunications about getting the work scheduled, so it started later than we'd hoped. But once they arrived and got started, the installation took exactly how long they said it would. The work quality looks excellent. They left everything looking just like it did before, very thorough clean up. We'll no longer dread rainstorms. This was a high-cost service, so while we'd rather not have had to spend what we did, Xpert's cost for the system was very competitive. Their $85 annual inspection and service is a great feature. Overall, we're very pleased.

From the initial estimate through to the completion of the project, Xpert Flood Control handled everything competently, smoothly and professionally. Arthur and Miguel's crew were excellent. They explained all work that they were planning to conduct and clearly communicated issues as they encountered them. They have a depth of experience in older homes in Chicago that immediately made me feel more comfortable. This project was challenging in that there were more problems than one could determine from the surface. In order to determine the best plan for the work, they were incredibly thorough and used a scope with a camera to fully understand the problems with the existing plumbing. They clearly explained the problems and recommended solutions without making me feel held hostage to the work. The work was $700 more than the initial estimate, however I feel that this is a very fair price given the extra work that the project entailed.

Good company, very customer satisfaction oriented. They use only own employees-no subs. Outstanding restoration--promised they'd leave almost no sign of this major construction and was true. They maintain it yearly for only $85. One of two companies (Eveready is other) in area that specialize in sewer flood control using what's known as a balanced valve--recommended by the Corps of Engineers and Illinois Dept of Nat Resources. Arthur is a gentleman and trustworthy. Crew leader Miguel was very competent and friendly. Crew seemed well lead and to have fun together. Very respectful. Hard decision for a non-engineer between the two companies. For us deciding factor was having to install it under our magnolia tree--Xpert hand builds vault using concrete blocks while Eveready uses a crane to drop in a pre-cast vault...tree branch problem. Also preferred Xpert's built-in 2nd backup valve over Eveready's backflow strainer. Peace of mind well worth price with finished basement.

The crew was excellent, very courteous, and left the basement clean.

ENRIQUE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. HE WAS HONEST AND DID A GREAT JOB.

I WAS GETTING A LITTLE WATER SEEPING IN UNDER IN THE BACK DOOR. PATRICK SENT MIGUEL, WHO IS AWESOME, TO FIX THE PROBLEM BY INSTALLING DRAIN TILE AROUND THE DOOR.

THEY WERE ALWAYS ON TIME. ARTHUR WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND WORKED WITH OUR OTHER CONTRACTOR TO GET THINGS DONE IN A TIMELY FASHION. THE BASEMENT LOOKS SO GOOD YOU CANNOT TELL ANYTHING WAS DONE. IT WAS VERY REASONABLY PRICED, ARTHUR SEEMED TO WANT TO GET US THE BEST OPTION FOR OUR MONEY. THE ONLY SMALL DOWNSIDE WAS THAT WE WISHED THEY WOULD HAVE TENTED IT A LITTLE MORE THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE TO MANAGE THE DUST. BUT WE WERE NOT HOME TO MANAGE THAT WHILE THE WORK WAS BEING DONE, AND THEY DID HAVE TO DRILL INTO CONCRETE SO YOU REALLY CAN'T AVOID SOME DUST. ARTHUR HAD WARNED US ABOUT IT BEFOREHAND. WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH EXPERT AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEM.

WORKERS VERY CAREFUL AND EFFICIENT. PATRICK MARTIN, THE OWNER, IS GREAT. EXPLAINS EVERYTHING, HAS AN EXCELLENT CREW, AND VERY RESPONSIVE TO PHONE CALLS. CREW CLEANED UP COMPLETELY. ALSO HAD SOME ADDITIONAL WORK DONE (AT A SAVINGS BECAUSE COMPLETED WHILE FLOOR WAS OPENED FOR THE DRAIN TILES); INCLUDING PUTTING IN NEW DRAIN LINE AND KILLING THE CATCH BASIN. ALSO LIKE THE FACT THAT THE FLOOD GATE WAS INSTALLED WITH A COVER THAT SITS UNDERNEATH THE GRASS TURF SO THERE IS NO CEMENT EXPOSURE ON THE FRONT LAWN.

THEY ARE GREAT. PROMPT, EXPERIENCED, PROFESSIONAL AND A VALUE.

THIS COMPANY SAVED MY BUTT WHEN MY BASEMENT FLOODED. THEY CAME OUT THE SAME DAY I CALLED AND PUMPED OUT 3 INCHES OF STANDING WATER. EVEN THE BOSS PAID A VISIT TO THE SITE. THEY DETERMINED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS A BLOCKED SEWER LINE AND INSTALLED A ROD OUT STATION. ALL MY PHONE CALLS WERE RETURNED PROMPTLY AND THEIR WORKERS WERE COURTEOUS AND RESPECTFUL. WHAT IMPRESSED ME MOST OF ALL WAS THEIR SWIFTNESS OF RESPONSE. THERE WERE A LOT OF EMERGENCIES THIS PARTICULAR WEEK AND I KNOW THEY WERE BUSY. THEY FINISHED THE JOB AND CLEANED UP THE MESS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

THE OWNER IS VERY HANDS ON, WHICH I APPRECIATE. HIS ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE HIS PROCESS, AND HIS REASONING GAVE ME GREAT CONFIDENCE IN HIS ABILITY and INTEGRITY. THE FACT THAT HE'S LIVED IN THE AREA ALL HIS LIFE REASSURED ME EVEN MORE. THE ENTIRE CREW WAS VERY PERSONABLE, AND I'M QUITE PLEASED WITH THE EXPERIENCE. THE CREW LEADER MIGUEL DID A GREAT JOB IN WRITING DOWN EVERY STEP OF THE PROCESS TO AVOID ANY MISUNDERSTANDING, AND MADE A GREAT IMPRESSION.
