I always contact Vanguard Plumbing when I want the job done right. Jan and his team are reliable and professional. They are also easy to work with. I will email Jan a picture of the problem, and he will usually get back to me with an estimate within the day. I have used them for about 6 jobs so far and every time I have been pleased. Not only are things fixed and working when they leave, they go above and beyond to make sure the job is done properly and to code. No "quick fix" or cutting corners. I also trust them to work my home when I am not there. I have had them repair sewer pipes, bathroom sinks, showers faucets, kitchen faucets, as well as install water filtration systems. I know that whenever I am hiring Jan, the money I spend is adding value in to our house because Vanguard's work will last.

Jan did an excellent job fixing my bathtub faucet. I would definitely use him again. He was very good about communicating before, during, and after the job.

My sump pump float switch quit working overnight when it was raining and I woke up to a stinky, flooded crawlspace. Jan had me go down and take some photos to make sure he would send me an accurate quote for the work and parts, and after I sent the photos he gave me a call back and walked me through a few steps I could take to see if I could get the pump working and drain the water out before they came out for the repair, instead of just sending someone out and charging me for all the time that would take. Best of all, his advice worked and after draining the flood I was actually able to understand how the system worked and replace the switch myself. I did receive the quote for the work Vanguard would have done and it was clear, professional, and extremely fair (especially considering the location and condition of my sump pit). I felt that I was treated with a great deal of respect and courtesy, which was such a pleasant surprise it actually turned around how negatively I was feeling about the flood etc. I will 100% call them again for any work I need.

Bravo to this company! We hired Vanguard to replace the outdoor spigot and install a new section of copper pipe. Unfortunately, the builder put access to everything behind the drywall. I started to bust the ceiling open and do it myself, but quickly discovered I needed a professional when I saw the builder also hadn't put in a shutoff valve. Yan was great. Easy and painless communication during the quote process. The day of the job, he arrived on time, and was very professional. Great explanations, patient demeanor, no unnecessary mess. He even cleaned up the messy hole I'd pounded into the ceiling. And most importantly, he did excellent work!

Jan's service and attention to customer relations was beyond my expectations! I have never had a service provider pay such attention to communications (both pre and post appointment) and seem so interested in making sure that I am 100% satisfied ... which I am. Vanguard fixed two of our toilets and did a great job. I really appreciated that Jan had me email photos of the problem and the space so he could give a preliminary estimate before coming out. It seemed like it saved both of us some hassle and guesswork.

Called Jan with my issue of my basement drain and shower backing up. His preliminary diagnosis was an ejector pump that needed replacement. He arrived on time on the scheduled day. When he opened up the ejector pit he found it was full of tree roots. He cleaned the pit, cleared the roots from the pipes, and installed a new ejector pump. Very skilled. Solved my issue on the first try. No longer have an issue with my basement toilet and basement shower drain backing up. Very happy with the services I received will use Vanguard Plumbing again for any future plumbing services.

We have made Vanguard our plumber for several years. Vanguard replaced the old heater with a new one and we are very satisfied with it. Their installation went as promised and we had hot water again in 5 hours.

It’s an old house and some of the vents pipes burst and the rest were old and rusty and had to be replaced. Very professional and quick. I hadn't expected same day service but got lucky. They had me take pictures of the equipment, which makes sense as it let them be better prepared. Guys unjammed the pump and replaced the switch. Reinstalled everything properly and cleaned up. Pricing seemed fair.

Jan is not only reliable but really goes the extra mile. First time I called them (smelly upstairs washer basin drain) they knew it was an easy fix and just told me what to do vs trying to make easy money off me. It built trust. Then when I really needed them for a utility rm gas leak in our new house I didn't think twice. High prices but peace of mind. Also plumber who did work had great personality and did A+ work (I thought I showed him the main leak but it wasn't bad compared to the higher one he found).
