Emailed them on Thursday morning for a quote and they were very responsive. Gave me multiple quotes based on different configurations and we made an agreement by Thursday evening. Came out on Monday morning and were extremely timely and professional. Would definitely hire them again for any plumbing job.

Jan is awesome. He is very responsive and knows his business incredibly well. His response time and availability is great. I also love that he has you send pictures of the issue so that he can take a look and usually diagnose the issue and what needs to happen from that. While he was replacing my disposal, I happened to remember to ask him about the low water pressure in my master shower. He took a look and in two minutes knew it was a dirty filter and had replaced that small part. I hadn't bothered to do anything before b/c it wasn't terrible pressure and I figured it was just an old shower head that probably needed to be replaced or a deep cleaning. To find out it was just a dirty filter - well that was easy! The next time I took a shower it was ridiculously good pressure --- who knew (Jan of course!). This is the second time I hired him (first time was to replace/install a new hot water heater) and I will continue to hire him should I have future plumbing needs. I'd highly recommend him to anyone with plumbing issues.

We had an old bungalow with the original steel galvanized piping. Due to very low water pressure we had Vanguard replace the old piping with regulation copper piping. They did a wonderful job and we now have great water pressure. The copper pipes look beautiful and one can see they take great pride in their work. They were punctual, professional, hard-working and I highly recommend them. They explained the process and the various valve functions and did a nice job of cleaning up afterwards. They did the replacement with minimal cutting into the walls.

On July 6, 2018, I had Vanguard Plumbing come on to check a leak that I was having down into the basement. I thought it was the wax ring. As it turned out the floor had rotted out. The plumber George then suggested I have the floor around the toilet fixed. The provided an excellent carpenter, Marcin Pyrek of Pyrek's Construction. As it turned out, it was more than the area around the toilet and had spread to the area around the vanity. Floor was repaired. On July 17,2018 Vanguard returned (owner Jam and helper Anthony) and installed the new toilet and vanity. They did an outstanding job..They were punctual letting us know when they were on their way. Responded to our calls promptly. Excellent craftsmanship and made sure everything was cleaned up. Will be using them again.

Jan was wonderful to deal with. He was very friendly and responsive and communicated by both email and phone, which I found helpful. He said he would call a half hour before he arrived, which he did and then showed up right on time. He snaked the drain and explained what he did. I am a fairly new home owner so don't really know the cost for these types of things, so it seemed pricey to me. I didn't feel like calling around the compare prices, though, so it could be on par with how much these things cost. I also thought it would've been nice for him to mention the 3.5% credit card fee ahead of time, but that wouldn't stop me from using Vanguard again. I just will not pay with a credit card next time.

Very professional and efficient! same day service, Jan was able to fit us in. Honest and knowledgeable. Hourly rate a little higher than avg. but I think he is worth the extra fee.

Quick turnaround from inquiry to installation. The service man was punctual, provided information and cleaned the area well after installing the toilet. We were very pleased with Vanguard and will use them again.

I messaged for a free estimate as they have it listed on their profile, but they want to charge $175 an hour. They called back attempting to explain their reasoning, but know they do not do free estimates. Their listing is false.

Everything went well. I was quoted a price by phone and that was the amount charged. I thought it was a little expensive but my old plumber had retired and I needed the faucet fixed. I spoke to the owner Jan and he sent George the following day which I really appreciated. He replaced the spigot, copper pipe to the spigot and installed a shut-off valve on the pipe in the basement, which was not there and should have been.

I called Vanguard this morning, sent pictures of problem and they were here seriously within in an hour. Super fast and efficient. I was under tight time crunch as I was fixing as it a inspection condition for my closing, so great to get this one checked off the list quickly.

What I thought was a DIY project really was a job for a professional. I thought I had a simple kitchen sink clog but it turns out that the main drain for the building was backing up from years of accumulated grease waste. George is great! His knowledge and efficiency of his trade is exemplified through in his work. He explained everything through the process. George used a larger than normal snake to break through the grease. He tested the water flow on multiple floors before departing and was clean and tidy. The job was complete in one hour. Jan, the business owner, was responsive by telephone. He gave an upfront price quote based on the job description. I had contacted five other plumbing companies and his price is average. I choose Vanguard Plumbing and Sewer because of the service request follow-up and will use them again because of the quality of their work.

Vanguard’s service was excellent! I called them and several other plumbers due to the emergency of my hot water heater breaking and leaking. They responded quickly and requested photos of the situation. Jan identified what he needed to do and was able to come out within a couple of hours. His quote was very competitive. Jan was courteous and professional, he cleaned up the work area perfectly and most importantly did an excellent job replacing the hot water heater and adding an extra shut off value. He did all of this emergency work the day before thanksgiving when it was hard to find anyone with a crew available. I am very glad I had Jan doing the work. I can’t recommend Vanguard enough. Thanks for helping me out in a pinch. Any plumbing need’s I have in the future you will be doing the work.

Vanguard was great. I called several other plumbers and didn't get any calls back but Va guard had so,body out to me within an hour and the problem was fixed immediately.

Excellent service from start to finish! I was fairly certain I wanted to replace an old ejector pump with a Metropolitan Ion ejector. I went to Ion's website and found Vanguard was one of Ion's certified/recommended installers. Also Vanguard has great reviews on Angie's List. I called Jan Pietraszek and we spoke on the phone to discuss the right ejector pump for my home. I was impressed with the time Jan spent with me to walk through the details. When I requested a quote, Jan asked me to email him a few photos of the current ejector pit and pipes so he knew what the installation would involve. In a short time, Jan sent me a quote and we scheduled the job for the following week. George was the installer and he did a terrific job. He disconnected the old pump, cleaned the pit, and installed the new Ion ejector pump (with high-water alarm that Jan recommended). I told Jan there was a problem with the existing check valve (the "banging" when the valve closed could be heard on the second floor. George removed the old check valve and replaced it with a "quiet check valve." I can't believe the difference -- after 14 years of the old check valve banging, the new one is silent! George replaced the old rusty metal pit cover with a new plastic one. George tested the new pump and it works great. What an improvement! George left the utility room spotless. I'm very happy I called Jan and Vanguard did the work. I will definitely call Vanguard for any plumbing/sewer work in the future.

The service with Vanguard was great. I called and spoke with Jan and explained the problem. He asked me to send pictures of the drain/plumbing. He provided detail on exactly what he needed pictures of to assess the issue and provide an estimate. He called me back promptly after I sent the photos, explained why the issue was occurring (incorrect installation of pipework by contractor), and scheduled a plumber to come out the next morning. It was late afternoon by the time I called; I'm sure I could've had same day service if I had called earlier in the day. The plumber arrived the next morning and was able to correct the problem. When he was done, he explained what he had done, and provided some additional info on other issues to look out for, and recommendations on how to fix. All in all, my experience was great. Very efficient by being able to send photos to get an estimate, prompt and professional service. Would use again.

Vanguard was very professional and responsive. My faucet was actively leaking, and I needed it addressed quickly. Vanguard was able to get to my property about 3 hours after I called, and repaired the faucet within less than 2 hours, all is now in working order. Given the quick turnaround needed, I was very happy with their responsiveness and professionalism!

Very well. The price seemed a bit high. $250 for first hour and $150 for each additional hour. That is the hourly rate of a medical doctor or a lawyer. However, George did a very efficient and diligent job in under an hour. He needed to clean the drum trap. He gave me the options (snake and see what happens, move the vanity and see if an opening was left, or replace the drum trap). We moved the vanity, found the opening, and he cleaned it. Vanguard was also available the same day (although I did not need same service) at no additional charge, He also accepted the $20 coupon ($250-+$25 part-$20 coupon) without a hassle. I would use Vanguard again, but would price shop for a larger job. No travel fee, but they seem to have accounted for that in the high hourly price.

They always come on time and find a way to repair this old home's tired plumbing. Very respectful and clean

Jan's work is excellent. When the gas company came to turn on the gas for the hot water heater, the rep mentioned that the pipes and installation looked really good. I decided to work with Jan because he talked to me professionally and respectfully even though I don't have a lot of experience with plumbing issues. This project cost more than I expect it to, and I don't know if all plumbers charge as much as this company, however the quality of the work was worth it.

George was prompt, professional, and explained all work thoroughly. I will definitely be using Vanguard again should the need arise.

George was the plumber who came out to do the work. He called ahead and arrived when scheduled. He was friendly and did a neat and thorough job, including problem solving on the spot. He cleaned up when he was finished and answered a few questions that I had about other potential plumbing issues and possible fixes. I totally will use them again. I will be scheduling them to come out next and flush my catch basin in the back yard.
