I needed to get a heavy 4pc wall desk unit out of storage and into my 3rd floor bedroom. Called Under one roof and got a great estimate and near immediate availability. The guys showed up on time to storage and were very courteous. The only thing that bothered me about the whole situation was that the guys were clearly in a hurry. As this was a very small "move" they wanted it done and to get out. I agreed to, and was charged, a 2 hr minimum. Nothing got broke or damaged in the process and the guys kept the mud (rained that afternoon) off my white carpet while they were in and out and up the stairs 4 times.... All in all a positive experience. I was just concerned the whole time about them being in a rush and the furniture being heavy. They were 2 very strong guys who pulled it off, though.

From the time we contacted Tony to the time of the move (about 1.5 weeks), Under One Roof was extremely professional and responsive. We worked with Michelle to ensure that we had the correct parking permits for the moving truck and she was amazing! Extremely professional and responsive. We also kept in touch with Tony regarding things we might need the day of the move, like wardrobe boxes. Tony sent out a crew of 4 men - when they got to our place, they immediately called for a back up truck in the event that we might need it. That was a good call as we did utilize the back up truck to clear out our garage. The crew was the hardest working crew we have ever seen. We had a lot of art work that needed to be wrapped carefully and moved, and we had some larger, heavier furniture items. They were extremely careful with everything, and when we moved into the new house, there were maybe two scratches that the guys told us about immediately when they happened (totally expected and nothing serious). They even took apart and set back up our commercial grade treadmill, which we really appreciated. The four men who worked our move were 100% professional, punctual, kind and friendly. It was a full 8 hour day and they never stopped going. They asked us exactly where we wanted boxes and furniture placed. Overall, we had an excellent experience with Under One Roof and we would highly recommend them to friends and family on the move.

The lead mover on the crew was Jose. The movers were very professional and courteous. They moved all of my items quickly, and were careful not to knock into walls or drop boxes. I would certainly use these movers again.

The guys, Eric, Steve and Jack, were punctual, professional, personable, hard working and appreciative of lunch! Worked through the humidity and rain, without a complaint. They are very careful with furniture and surroundings and easy to work with. They were more than I expected and I will definitely use Under One Roof for my next move.

Tony and his team could not have been more professional. Tony definitely errs on the side of quality, focusing on getting a team he trusts and realistic workload, rather than committing to too much and stretching his team. I saw him turn down many jobs because he had already scheduled the maximum on a certain day. His crew was thorough, trustworthy, unfailingly polite, and Tony really looked after the entire operation. We were very pleased with his team's work and thanks to them settled easily into our new home. Well done!

I've moved several times, and this was by far the best experience I've had with a moving company. Most moving companies give you an estimate, then gouge you with ridiculous extra charges for padding and tape. Tony's estimate was in line with the others I received, however it INCLUDED EVERYTHING, whereas the others estimated at least an additional $100 for supplies. The guys worked really hard and were very efficient, which led to a quick, stress-free move. As a result of their efficiency, the final charge was over $100 less than the estimate! Also, based on past moves, I expected at least one item to get broken, but not this time - everything arrived in my new home just as it left my old one. And zero wall damage as well. Use these guys - you'll be impressed.

Tony's three employees arrived a bit late due to miscommunication between employees. All were apologetic. The movers were fast, efficient, and friendly. They were very accommodating with strange shaped objects and careful with valuables. They were also flexible; at the last minute my closing date was moved forward, and they were able to reschedule to a date two days later.

We had a very good experience. Tony evaluated the move over the phone and quoted us an hourly rate. They were not the cheapest, but with the ratings from Angie's List to guide us we felt it was a very fair price. The men worked hard and fast. They wrapped every piece of furniture and when I noticed one piece that needed additional wrapping they did it without hesitation. The only problem we encountered was one dresser was slightly damaged because the wood was very soft and the tape from their wrapping left indentations on the corners. I am not sure there was any way to tell, ahead of time, that there was a potential for problems with that one piece. We had also given Tony an approximation of how much clothing we had in closets, and they came prepared with more than enough wardrobe boxes to transfer our clothes. We filled the wardrobes while they were wrapping our furniture, which was easy enough to do and helped keep the overall price down. When they arrived at the new location, the first thing they did was lay down some tarps over our newly finished wood floors to protect them during the unloading. We really appreciated that. Overall, we were very pleased with Under One Roof and would use them again.

These men were such hard workers . They arrived early, brought the boxes for my clothes. I have my "college" furniture that is not the nicest and they handled it it with the utmost care. Wrapped up all the furniture and were so quick and very nice and had "pep" in their step! Finished in less than estimated time. Met me at the new place and were very good at putting stuff in the right room, and just wonderful! I will use this company for sure if I move again and recommend them to my family and friends, felt it was a deal for my money and that they were very professional

I got a quick response from owner who explained what I needed to do and went over the costs. The crew came right on time and were very courteous, patient, and flexible. Great experience from start to finish.

They were punctual, careful, polite and cooperative. They worked well with the staff in the building we moved into. One item, a sofa leg, was broken in the move. It was promptly and expertly repaired.

Great - fast, efficient and careful. Doesn't get better.

Tony and his crew could not have been more accommodating. After a number of false starts because of an ever changing closing date, the crew made it at the agreed start time. They were quick to explain the charges and get right to work. 15 years of accumulated stuff made it in the estimated time without a hiccup. I could not have asked for a better experience.

The movers were very professional. I have moved several times and I've never had such care taken with furniture. Every piece was individually wrapped in blankets, and every piece arrived undamaged. I was very pleased with the service.

Household goods were moved in a professional manner in all aspects. Personnel and procedures were exact and to be highly praised. The refrigerator was an entirely different matter. We were repeatly told about dents (minor) which we accepted even though it was a new enough applicance to have price tag intact. During the move, drywall in a prominent location was damaged in two places. As I went to retrieve a screwdriver to remove a board so refrigerator could be safely moved into new place, the refrigerator was shoved into place. When a refrigerator is pushed against a grantite countertop, the refrigerator loses. The damage to the side of the appliance and lack of care is hard to describe. Time and some anger management both were required to fix drywall and repaint newly painted walls. This happened a year ago this month. A "cool down" period was necessary before I could make this note, but is important for me to relate this experience so you can be prepared for a move with this Company. Make certain you know the individuals who are going to do your job. I need to state once again that the first move had best people you could want to accomplish your move. In the movement of the appliance, no one cared. (Please note the difference in experiences made it difficult for me to complete the A-F ratings.)

I'll have to say that this was the best moving experience I've ever had. The last couple of times I used movers there were always issues. I've been scammed and hustled enough that there is no way I would hire movers ever again without solid recommendations. I am thankful for Angies List to help me avoid all of the bad operators out there, the moving profession being loaded with them That being said it was an easy move. They showed up right on time. Worked none stop until they where done, and knew what they were doing. Which is an important point, the last few times I used movers it was obvious they didn't know what they were doing. These guys seemed like real movers to me. The prices were great and beat the others I checked. Everything was moved start to finish in a few hours. Moving has always been very stressful for me and I was amazed that it was all over so fast with almost no stress. I should also add that everyone I spoke with was friendly and professional.

They put everything I had in the truck and they moved everything on to the right floors. They were quick and clean and I didn't have any trouble with them at all. I checked their ratings on Angie's List and they gave me a really good estimate when I called. A lot of people I called wanted to charge set up fees and so forth, but their price was really reasonable and comparable. They did come a little late, but they called to let me know they were running behind.

Having ordered a custom made sofa, the furniture dealer was not able to move it into our condo because of its size and suggested that we find someone who could hoist it through our living room window, which is a half-story above street level. We therefore had to store it at a public stroage facility until a furniture mover could be located. Tony, at Under One Roof, was accommodating and prompt. His crew were able to manipulate the sofa through the front door, up the stairs and through the hallway into the condo smoothly and quickly. What a relief! Also, Tony's crew of young men were courteous and respectful. They each said good-by and shook my husband's and my hand as they left. How refreshing!

Tony was very informative and asked me to provide a list of my furniture in order to accurately assess my needs. Quote was about $300 more than the actual price. Since I needed the movers to store all of my belongings on truck overnight, I went with Under One Roof because truck was stored inside garage and under security cameras. Other companies only offered to park truck in a fenced lot. Crew was prompt both days and had to work late on Day 2 due to my closing running into mid-afternoon. Jose and team were very friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend this company - nothing broken and handled furniture and artwork with care.

I called Under One Roof, Inc., and talked to Tony after having discussed my moving project with other movers. I decided that his company would do the job after he gave me an extemely good price for two men for two hours based on what I said what was in the garage. The date was set for 10/3. I had mentioned to him that it had taken over 2-1/2 months for my husband and myself and our 3 adult children all at different times due to our various schedules and health to move the contents of the family room and office to the bedrooms, living/dining room and two-car garage. Because of health problems and work schedules our children couldn't help as much as they had before and seeing that my husband and myself are in our 70's we can't do too much all the time. We agreed upon a date but unfortunately due to an emergency I had to change it the day before the movers were to come. Tony was wonderful and understanding and was very helpful in setting up a new date based on what other projects were happening in the house. A new date of 10/12 was agreed up and Tony assigned two great men who did an excellent job of moving the contents of the garage. There were many, many labeled boxes all full of books, magazines, etc. plus small pieces of furniture and a file cabinet. I was in the family room and where ever I pointed they placed the contents either in the family room or office. If I ever needed a mover again, I would use Under One Roof again.

These guys were the BEST. I hired 3 guys to help me unload a 17ft truck at my new apartment in the west loop. They arrived on time, they were super friendly and they unloaded everything in 2 hours without a scratch on the wall. I was very impressed and I will definitely be calling them again when I move out. It was the easiest part of my super stressful move from out of state.

I would defintitely recommend this crew. They were extremely helpful, efficient and had a great attitude. It made our move stress free and everthing was moved smoothly and timely.

I used Under One Roof for my initial move into my condo a few months ago, and they did such a terrific job that I knew who to call when I needed a few individual pieces of furniture moved. They are extremely careful with the furniture they move, were right on time, and did a great job of breaking down, then re-assembling the sleigh bed in the final location. They also accommodated what was a last-minute request, making time for me within a few days of when I called.

They movers showed up about 15 minutes early and started right away. They kept moving the entire time. The move itself took 3.5 hours. It would have taken less time, but we had trouble parking the tuck on a narrow street and ended up having to go through the ally. Overall a great experience.
