This is the 2nd time I've used this company. Excellent, professional service. Even the owner of the building was impressed that the guys took off the doors so they wouldn't damage them or the furniture. A friend of mine who help in my move plans to use them in the future. Mike and Robert moved the furniture wherever I wanted it, attached legs that were previously removed. I wish every company I used was as responsive as this company and their employees! Make sure to tip these guys well, they deserve it!

Rather than having us drive all the way from Addison to Chicago to pick up boxes, the owner told us to buy some boxes at Home Depot and then we could deduct that amount from the total. I appreciated that he considered our time in this way. The 3 movers arrived on time and thoroughly explained what they were going to do and how we would be charged. They then very began moving our things very quickly. They were very professional! We were very impressed. We have never used professional movers before and were very pleased with this company. They wrapped everything carefully. There was a small scrape on the wall, which they immediately told us about. They set up furniture for us and even took apart a bed after I saw that it was too big in the room I originally wanted it it, moved it into a different room, and set it back up again. Hopefully we will never move again, but if we do it will be with this company again!

They were exceptional. They did a nice job. They delivered exactly what they promised. They did the move for less than what they quoted. We had good results from them. They were easy to work with and were courteous. The owner was gentle with his staff. They were professional.

They arrived on time, were careful with our things, worked promptly to finish and were both very friendly.

they arrived early which i was very very pleased with. it took them 20 minutes to move a single thing. they were organizing there carts in the truck and staging items. it appeared one was a professional mover who had picked up two guys to help him. They truely could not have been any nicer but they were shockingly slow. i've had 3 moved in recent years and this was by far the slowest. usually the guys work fast for good tip. When it's all said and done, they did a good job, didn't break anything, and were polite and clean. they were just slow.

Tony was very responsive to my request for a quote. We scheduled the move and they provided us with free boxes since we got their name from Angie's list. They also provided free of charge loaner wardrobe boxes on the day of the move. The 3 movers were all very courteous and took great care in moving our items. We did pack all of our boxes ourselves so I can't speak to their actual packing performance. We had no issues to speak of.

The first truck that arrived was too small. After some arm twisting, the owner agreed to rent a larger truck as his other trucks were either in use or out-of-service. It seemed to take a long time to have pieces moved, but they did a very nice job moving the piano (an upright). There were some d**** on some of the bedroom furniture, and they did send someone to repair those. We also had some rub marks on the walls but those rubbed off. Overall, they did a good job and the amount of damage was minimal and we appreciated the efforts to repair it.

It went great. The two guys were on time, were careful with all of our stuff, and worked fast! Everything was moved and in storage unit under two hours. Our back steps were slick too-and they managed the stairs well.

The move went so smoothly! They sent four guys who were right on time and so incredibly efficient. They were so friendly, too. They moved everything door-to-door in 3 hrs 15 minutes! They worked very quickly and did not stall at all, which is always a concern when you're paying someone by the hour. It was so nice that all the packing supplies were included in the price and the wardrobes were free with the Angie's List coupon. They also let us toss things in the bottom of the wardrobes before putting in the hanging items so we didn't have to transport them ourselves. We put pillows, blankets, etc. in the bottom. They even disassembled and assembled our platform bed and dining room table with no problem. They accepted drinks (soda and water) and food because it was lunchtime but they waited to drink or eat until they were on the road. And they were very gracious with our offers. We tipped around $100 but felt like maybe we should have tipped more because they were so great. We never know the appropriate amount to tip! I wish I could remember all their names because I'd like to thank them individually. I believe the "leader" was Jose. He was very professional and checked in with us every half hour or so to make sure we felt comfortable with their progress. Really great service. I would recommend these guys to anyone!

These guys were great! My furniture is contemporary and mostly glass - they wrapped my table tops as if they were going across the country instead of across town. Punctual, affordable, very professional.

Tony's crew of four showed up exactly on time, were courteous, efficient, clean and otherwise professional. Two hour minimum, but took only about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Process was great all the way through. Prompt response on my inquiry on price and followups on questions. The two movers showed up on time and were very friendly and courteous. The wrapped the items up for the move nicely and took care of a special item for removal that was worked out ahead of time.

They were on time and completed the job well ahead of schedule. I would use them again.

The move went great, we had 4 guys who arrived about a half hour early (they called to warn us, which was good since we had been packing all night). Big items were all wrapped, and nothing was broken in the move. I've used them before, a couple of times for residential, and one time quite a while ago for my business. I would use them again in a minute.

I found Under One Roof here on Angie's List. They helped me estimate which packing materials I needed and how long the move would take. They were in touch during every step of the process, which I greatly appreciated after some of the true horror stories I had heard about other movers. They arrived exactly on time and made quick work of moving everything. They even accommodated the crazy neighbors at the building that I was leaving who always seem to go berzerk with their horns whenever they see a moving van in the alley next to the building. They also followed every regulation at my new building, which I appreciated even more. I had the minimum amount of time, and they finished just under it and asked if there was anything else they could help me move. I will recommend them to all of my friends who are looking for movers.

The $2000 covers two moves--$1500 for the first, and $450 to move some more furniture from another location. Overall, I thought it went not great. They were friendly nice guys but they need a larger truck. They ran out of wrap for furniture, so my white chairs went without it. They tried to jam too much into the wardrobe boxes to save on space so I had dry cleaning just jammed together with bedding in a small box. My furniture got knicked up in this move. Me and the furniture pencil are now good friends.These fellow are great if you have a bachelor pad and so-so furniture. I would not use them again for nice, newer furniture or a home full of furniture. The owner wanted to fix the dry wall damage on his own instead of paying for it. He did a sloppy job and it had to be redone. I don't understand what happened with the movers they used to subcontract to because they were great, but this was a new crew for me.

I am moving from Illinois to Indiana and this mover is not an inter-state mover so I did not use them. He referred me to the Illinois Movers and Warehouse Movers Association so I could find a reputable inter-state mover. I thought it was nice of him to take the time to help me even though he was not able to make my move. I would certainly have him estimate another job for me.

Excellent - -I would absolutely use this company again. Tony, the owner, was very flexible with scheduling, as my closing had been pushed back, and I needed to change the moving date w/ only a few days notice. He fit me in for an evening move, which I know is harder b/c it's colder and darker out. The movers themselves (there were 3 men), were on-time, extremely friendly and polite, and very very careful w/ all of the items. There were NO scratches or dings or anything on any of the furniture OR any of the newly painted walls and newly redone floors. They moved throughout the rain and did such a wonderful job. They personally showed me how my boxspring wouldn't fit down the stairs because of a sharp turn and instead I had them move it upstairs. They were neat, didn't track in any rain/mud, and just very easy-going. I really appreciated how sweet and easy to work with J.R. and the others movers were. My only teeny little complaint (which is probably more for the owner, Tony, insofar as he may want to consider installing GPS systems in the trucks) is that although my apt is only 8 blocks from the new house, it took the movers more than 20 minutes to get there! i had given specific instructions by phone to the movers, but wasn't physically there b/c I was still at the closing. My mom was following the movers (but she doesn't know Chicago streets that well) and she said they went around and around and around, and seemed to have a really hard time finding the new house. I know they probably just don't know the neighborhood that well, so i think a GPS in the truck would be a good idea, especially when you're paying by the hour.

My daughter had used them and she had a positive experience, so we contacted them and also had a positive experience. They gave us a fair price, didn't up it. They came on time, did a wonderful job moving, didn't go over, called to confirm, and everything was set up well.

I spoke with the owner, Tony, to set up the appointment for the pack and move. He was very accomodating with our schedule and the specific details of our move. The company packed everything in one day and moved us on the following day. All of the workers were timely and professional and worked hard to ensure that everything was put in the appropriate location in the new home. None of our furniture was damaged despite several narrow hallways and curved staircases in our new 4 story home. I used the company a second time to move some individual pieces and had a very similar, positive experience. I would highly recommend Under One Roof to anyone.

I called several moving companies to get quotes and all were essentially in the ballpark -- but they all had different pricing structures. Under One Roof's price was high, but was all-inclusive -- so rather then try to figure out how many items I needed shrinkwrapped, how many wardrobe boxes I needed, how many rolls of shrinkwrap/tape was needed, etc. I was given a base hourly price based on the number of guys and the number of trucks needed to perform my move. Along with an estimate of how long the move would take. The person I dealt with on the phone, Tony, came to my house to assess the effort and then called me back and spent 15-20 minutes discussing various options I could try in an attempt to reduce the price. After running the numbers, I decided that their 5 guy, 2 truck combo would actually be best for just knocking it all out. The movers actually beat the estimate and performed the move in 6 hours instead of 8, which saved me 25% off of the estimated price, so while the estimate seemed high (I told him to give me worst case) the final price was exactly in line with the competition before the competition's "extras" would be added on. Anyway, the team of 5 guys were punctual and professional. They professionally shrink-wrapped and/or moving blanket-wrapped all of my stuff. The truck was packed professionally. Every single team member was helpful and polite. Several of the team members at various times during the move asked how things were going and if there was anything else I needed help with. They absolutely removed all of the stress that goes into a move -- 100%. My only regret is that I won't be moving anytime soon, because they were great and I wish I could use their services again! Although their base price is slightly higher than others, it includes everything and was worth EVERY penny. I couldn't have been more satisfied with the guys from Under One Roof.

The move went very well. The guys were SO careful, and so kind and personable. I picked this company in part because they are small and the workers are all full time, not temp. That decision paid off well. The moving experience was much easier because they were so good and trustworthy. At the end of the day, they asked me repeatedly if there was anything else I needed, making sure that everything was as I wanted it. I had used a different company for my last move. They were a bit faster than this crew, but not nearly as careful. My only complaint about this company is that they were slow in responding to my initial inquiries and getting me contracted for the move. It took several phone calls and emails from me to get them to confirm the date, price, etc. I never received a quote or a detailed confirmation in writing, which had me a little worried about what was going to happen on moving day. As it turns out, my concerns were unfounded. I'd recommend them highly.

This is the 3rd or 4th time I've used this company, each time with a little more "stuff" to move. They have consistently been excellent to work with. Tony, the owner, returns phone calls promptly, gives accurate estimates, and is actively involved in the whole move, even when he isn't on site. This time I had four people pack the house, which took one day. They provided all the packing materials and were very careful about wrapping fragile items properly. The second day there were five people, and they finished the entire move in one day. As in the past, they were punctual, polite, and friendly. Toward the end, they were so patient with me as I tried to figure out where each piece of furniture should go in the new house. I highly recommend this company -- moving is no fun, but they make it so much easier!

The overall experience was a breeze, the movers were in and out of my old place in 30 minutes. Once we got to my new place, they asked where I'd like everything to go and were patient when I was deciding. Overall, I was very pleased with Under One Roof INC.

We needed two antique dressers, dressing table, two end tables, and a bed frame (head and footboards) moved from one location to our home. We contacted Under One Roof and spoke with Tony (the owner) who was courteous and professional. He was responsive to our requests and flexible in terms of time. He explained the costs for this kind of move were based on the number of movers required for the job (2) and amount of time. He estimated three hours. On the moving date, two movers (Eric and Tucker) contacted us to inform us of their arrival time. They were prompt. Both movers were professional and courteous. They took excellent care of us and the furniture. Lastly, the estimate of time/cost was accurate to the hour/penny. I would highly this company for any moving needs. This is a superior company providing superior service.
