Ned Trivic is a true professional. He walked us through a full kitchen remodel on our 125+ year old home and got the job done in time for a hard deadline (our first baby was due in October). He and his crew handled all the wonky curveballs an old house like ours threw at them, including adding a steel structural support when we wanted to remove a closet wall that was unexpectedly load bearing. Trivic runs a tight ship. He was easy to get ahold of and responsive to our requests and inquiries. His crew showed up on time every day, which seems to be a rarity amongst contractors in the city, and his guys did top notch work. All of this quality does come at a cost, though. No doubt you'll be able to find a cheaper quote elsewhere, but for me the stress relief of Ned's reliability and quality is well worth the premium.
Description of Work: Full kitchen remodel including new tile floor, reshaping a closet and window, new cabinets and countertops, wall tiles, new electrical circuits and light plumbing.

Ned's team of guys are very professional and everything went smoothly. Our building is 100 yrs old so when we opened up the kitchen wall we could not just replace the 1st floor plumbing but had to go all the way to the 3rd floor with the new plumbing. I saw the plumbing myself and could plainly see it was falling apart. So then we had the option of replacing all the plumbing from the street to the kitchens and since that was something I have wanted to do for 30 years I decided this is my opportunity! Then it only made sense to put in a new laundry tub as the 100 year old concrete tubs leaked like crazy. For the remodel we took out the pantry wall and made the kitchen much more spacious. All new wood floor, cabinets with self-closing doors, new windows, all walls torn down and rebuilt, new electrical and lots of it. What a stunning kitchen Trivic made for me and my husband!!! And it was very affordable. All that for only $31,000. And with so many more added improvements to the in other areas of the building. We are truly grateful to have Trivic Remodelers as our go-to remodeler. Ned and his team have put in eight new kitchens since 2013 and have numerous other projects like new siding and two completely new bathrooms. All work has been beautifully and professionally finished.

Trivic did a great job for a fair price. This was a pretty small job and it seemed like other contractors didn't even want to be bothered with it, but Trivic got it done within our tight timeline, as this was for a rental property and we wanted to get the place back on the market as soon as possible. Will definitely be using them again!

It went very well, took me longer to close than it did for the actual work to be done. Ned and his crew were amazing. Ned worked with me and was very patient in using recycled materials that I had. He was adept at navigating through the construction loan process and was very helpful in redoing the estimate several times. The kitchen turned out amazing, using recycled cabinets, new appliances and granite countertops. The company I bought the cabinets from even did a story on it on their website. They were very patient with the fact I was living in the midst of the renovation, cleaned up after themselves and were always friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to hire them again and recommend them.

Ned, the owner, is great. He's attentive, responsive, and ensured the work was up to our standards and requirements. In a couple instances, when something wasn't quite the way we liked it, he was great about making a change or adjustment to satisfy us. The final cost and the the estimate matched up, and the work was done within the agreed upon approximate time frame without any hitches or surprises. My wife and I are quite pleased and would definitely use his services again.

My thanks to Rick, Ned and all thier workers who helped us and provided great direction and worked with us to make it all come together. Would highly recommend and use again. Everything will be finished by the end of next week; we?re just finishing up the small details. We always love their work, and would recommend them to everyone. They?re able to do everything ? windows, plumbing, heating and a/c; all of it. Their pricing is always reasonable too. They?re very proud of their work, and it shows.
Description of Work: We’ve worked with Ned since 2012. We're currently working on transforming a commercial storefront space into an apartment. Started in August, and Ned Trivic has been so incredibly helpful with assisting me to design the entire space and totally repurpose it. He’s also advised me on which materials are least expensive, but highest quality. It’s fabulous. We even put in a gas fireplace!

This is my third job for Trivic. Ned, the owner is punctual and respect our busy schedule. He makes smart recommendations for better functionality, appearance and costs. I paid directly for major pieces (cabinets, sink etc.) that Ned kindly picked up, while he charged for labor and minor supplies. Most of his workers are competent, careful and nice, although one crew for simple jobs needs better training and supervision. Overall the kitchen came out very nice and we are happy with the work.

GREAT. KItchen was totally stripped and remodeled. New everything, with new pantry. All new appliances purchased but not hooked up by retailer but by Trivic's staff. Wood (oak) floor installed in kitchen. My washer/dryer was originally located in the kitchen, it was relocated to the enclosed back porch, which was also stripped to the studs. It was the treated with spray foam, new electrical and plumbing to accommodate washer/dryer. Walls, paint, custom interior door, laminate floor installed on back porch. The second bathroom with the entrance located in the kitchen, was re-routed into the office. New paint for the bathroom and office. Extensive work was done, totally satisfied. I had gotten 2 other estimates which were about the same HOWEVER, the other 2 did not include moving the washer/dryer, nor moving the entrance to the bathroom. Ned Trivic, contractor, was on top of ALL work being done, checking every evening on progress and any concerns I might have had, I had none. Mike and Illi started the project, Fabian and Marcello completed. In between time, there was Danny and his assistant for the wood floor, don't remember the guys for the installation of stone counter and Gustavo with assistants for kitchen walls-boards. I hope I haven't forgotten anyone, what I'm trying to point out is that every member of the "crew" worked hand in hand. I didn't realize just how many were working at different times and different projects, every single crew member was extremely professional. I would definitely use Trivic again and refer the company with songs of praise.

It went very well. Ned was great to work with. He helped us come up with a plan to make our not so big kitchen more functional. It went so well that towards the end we hired Trivic to refinish the floors in the living room and dining room as well plus new drywall for the living room and dining room ceilings. The whole project took about 6 weeks including the extra work at the end. I'm very pleased with my new kitchen. It's bright and fresh and lovely to work in. I hope to work with Ned and his crew again on future projects.
Description of Work: Complete kitchen and pantry remodel - The work was quite extensive. I'll list the details below Gut kitchen and pantry to studs New electrical panel to accommodate new appliances Insulation on exterior walls Drywall, tape and paint kitchen and pantry. Modify bedroom closet to make a space for the refrigerator in the kitchen Move closet door. Move position of sink and run plumbing for that Install plumbing for a new dishwasher Move gas line for new range position Run the line for the new ice maker Install 3 new thermal pane windows New white shaker style wood cabinets Remove original trim, baseboard etc, sand paint and put back Paint 5 doors to match the new trim color Quartz counters in gray New back splash Refinish original hardwood floors New electrical as needed plus under cabinet lighting, a couple new pot lights and a ceiling fan Install new appliances (we purchased those ourselves) There are probably more items that I'm forgetting. Fantastic. Trivic remodeled my kitchen last year, since all went great then, there was no hesitation on my part to use them again. My bathroom proved to be, in my opinion, massive. The guys found out that there were several layers of different flooring and cement on top of each one. God bless Mike and Illi on the tear down, it looked like Willis Tower had exploded, so much debris. The floors, pipes and electrical proved to be another issue, the building is over 100 years and it showed. Just like before, Ned Trivic was on top of every aspect of the project, he knows my style AND unlike the kitchen (where I chose the backsplash), I actually listened to his suggestions, very, very great outcome. As before, all of the guys coming in and out were wonderful. Each set came in, did their jobs, cleaned up afterwards, there was no talking on cell phones, goofing off, etc., these guys were top notch professionals.

I wanted to add a dishwasher to the kitchen without putting all new cabinets in. In order to do that we had to move the stove, which was next to the sink, over to the opposite side of the kitchen. Ned was very creative in coming up with solutions. He really gave me a remodel that was very affordable and quality work simply by moving the cabinets around to fit the new space and moving the gas line to the other side of the kitchen for the stove. A small amount of new plumbing for the dishwasher and we had a kitchen that looked like new but was actually the old cabinets and appliances except for the new dishwasher. Brilliant and very affordable and it looked great.

Things were good from day one, a crew of three showed up the first day and did the demo on the bathrooms. Then a team of 2 plumbers were sent in to add all new plumbing in our home. The lead plumber whose name was Mike did the original inspection of our pipes and was very informative about what was needed to be done and why. Throughout the process of installing our new pipes, if he occurred something that could have been done better or needed replacing he brought it to my attention and explained what he needed to do to make the fix. After the plumbers did their work, a two man crew of carpenters came in to put the finishing touches on the bathrooms. The lead carpenters name was Gustavo, who was very professional and informative as well. Between the two crews led by Mike and Gustavo there was no complaints of their work or professionalism. The owner Ned has a good team on his hands and I would have no problems hiring them again if more work is needed on my home. Ned was very easy to work with, accommodating, and helpful at making choices that worked best in my home.
Description of Work: They stripped down my two bathrooms to the studs and repaired all plumbing and electric. They also rebuilt my two bathrooms with beautiful floors, walls, and replaced tubs, showers, toilets, vanities, and mirrors along with medicine cabinets. All items that were installed were of my choice.

Many of these projects take on a life of their own and this one was no different. This was my fourth major remodel and I knew what to expect as to cost overruns, delays and such; there was a lot of emergent work as the building is well over 100 years old. All of this I took in stride and felt the project went very well. Glitches were smoothed out with very little problems. Any delays were on me as I dragged my feet on some decisions and even went on a 2 week vacation. Ned had some good ideas and suggested things I would have not considered. To this testimonial I would add, he is going to redo the upstairs apartment in 2 months. This company has my full endorsement.

We got quotes from several contractors with strong recommendations on the list. We went with Ned, not because he was the cheapest (he wasn't), but because he really listened to what we wanted and had good ideas for how to solve the problem: making everything fit into a small space and still look good. He gave us a fixed price estimate for the labor and materials except for tile and fixtures, etc. One of the key issues for this project was time. We had only a couple of weeks before my mother was moving in, and Ned and his crew worked hard to get everything in place and finished on schedule. All of the professionals that came in did excellent work and were very responsive to what we needed. Special shout-out to the tile guys: really beautiful results. The work was done on time and on budget. The bathroom is really very nice. I wouldn't have thought you could fit all the elements in and have it not feel crowded but Ned's design worked well. Everyone who visits comments on how good it looks. Now if only I could afford to have Ned rehab our other bathroom...
Description of Work: We converted a small powder room off our ktichen to add a shower and to make it more accessible for my elderly mother who was moving in this us. We also had him install new kitchen counters and new french doors in my mother's room. The bathroom was completely gutted. The toilet was moved to a new location and a new (smaller) sink was added. A shower was installed in a tiled enclosure. The floor was tiled and the heating duct, electrical outlets and lighting moved to new locations. A vent fan was installed. Grab bars were added throughout.

We had a mold problem in the master bedroom. The mold remediation contractor removed and sealed the areas with mold in the walls and ceiling. Now we had to have the area rebuilt. we didn't like the location of the closet -- it was hard to find a wall for the bed. I called Trivic Remodelers and Ned was able to come out the next day to give us an estimate. He talked with me at length about moving the electrical service for the closet, the problems associated with getting the drywall up the stairs, possible ventilation fixes to prevent further mold problems, and asked questions to be sure he understood what we wanted. He told me he would be able to start in about 2 weeks. After a week he hadn't gotten back to me, so I called. He apologized and within a couple of hours I had the estimate. It wasn't as detailed as I would like, but the amount was reasonable considering what we needed done. We agreed and he came to my house the next day to sign the contract. The contract was detailed, so I could tell he understood what we wanted. He did not ask for any payment until the day he started work. True to his word he started 2 weeks after the day he gave us the estimate. His crew started on the Friday before Labor Day and finished by September 10th. On the 12th Ned came out and personally finished up a few details. and I gave him the final payment. They did a good job of matching the stain on the new trim to the existing trim and the new paint looks great. (It was a complicated 3-color job). The closet is much better in it's new location.
Description of Work: They moved the closet, and created a small storage space under the knee-wall in the master bedroom. . They made up some new trim work, installed new drywall, taped, sanded, and painted the walls and ceiling.

First, as far as their work product, it appears to be top-notch. Ned & his team created a new bedroom by installing a wall in a former den and moving a wet bar, as well as installing a closet in the new bedroom. Throughout the process, the communication with the contractors was good and they made a number of helpful suggestions as the project moved along. The end result is a beautiful new bedroom that looks like it's part of the original structure (no gaps in the wall connections, wet bar is installed properly, etc.) Trivic came in about the middle to upper middle range of bids, but we're happy we went with them. Ned was responsive to inquiries day and night, and he's easy to get a hold of. If there is a minor complaint, I'd say that they do try to suggest additional jobs they can do - they're not pushy about it, but it did come up in multiple conversations. We just moved into our place and did mention that we were potentially looking at doing some additional work, so that might have something to do with it, but I saw some other reviews along the same lines so I thought I'd mention my impression. That being said, I will still be calling them for potential work we do in the future.
Description of Work: Installed a wall in a top floor den to create an extra bedroom, installed necessary lighting fixtures, shaved down door to accommodate uneven floor, moved wet bar from one side of den to exterior of newly-installed wall, removed built in cabinet, installed a closet in the new bedroom.

Ned Trivic and his team are absolutely the best! When he first came to my house for the initial consultation, I was impressed by Ned?s attention to detail; he pointed out some things that I had not noticed. He and his team got the job done on time and on budget. I will add, though, that there was a MAJOR plumbing problem that had to be repaired and caused me additional expense, but I was happy to be informed about it, allowing me to make the decision to go forward with the repair rather than just let it continue to get worse. However, there were some unexpected MINOR drywall issues that arose and he did not charge me any extra for those. Also, I asked his electrician to install a couple of additional electrical outlets and two ceiling fans and he gladly took care of this for me at no extra charge. Ned?s workers were all very polite and friendly. I also hired a painter to paint while Ned?s workers were there and all of them worked together smoothly without any problems. Ned was very easy to contact via telephone and he consulted with me about every little decision, right down to grout colors and placement of the toilet paper holder, and directed his workers in great detail. I highly recommend Trivic Remodelers! Thanks guys!
Description of Work: I live in a rowhouse built in 1885. Trivic Remodelers removated my entire kitchen and bathroom, taking both rooms down to the studs and updating the plumbing and electricity. In my dining room, they removed paneling, a hideous DIY broom closet and an ugly dropped ceiling, repairing the drywall and restoring the ceiling to its original 9-foot height.

Ned Trivic and his team were fantastic and did a wonderful job! We had a pretty tight schedule of about 1.5 month which they were able to keep. Their work was of good quality and it has been incredibly easy to discuss ideas and options as we were moving along during the work. We live in a high rise building which comes with many restrictions and regulations. Despite these added difficulties, Ned and his team were good in adapting and always finding the most efficient solutions. Our kitchen and the bathroom turned out to be exactly what we wanted. The quality of their work was really great. Ned helped us out on several occasions with some unexpected problems (carpet install, replacing front door), which saved us a lot of time and agony. Thanks to his efforts we were able to move in a little bit earlier than we had anticipated. We very much recommend him for any remodeling work. He was also very good in keeping with limits of the estimated budget.
Description of Work: We had our kitchen and a bathroom remodeled.
