I contacted the owner Johann about a bathroom remodel I wanted to do in my condo. I was really looking forward to possible using him with all the excellent reviews that he had gotten on Angies list. After describing the project to him and informing him it was in a high rise he told me he does not do work in high-rises. I totally respect that. The reason I am writing this review is that I wish contractors would put that on this website so people don't have to waste their time calling only to find this out.

Made initial contact via email, and Johann got back to me right away with a quote. I asked for a few revisions and he was quick to create a new proposal. Johann came out a few days later to do the initial prep work by waterproofing the new walls. The following day, his tile guy came out and started working on the main tiling. We have an old house (75+ years) so many things in the house are not level/square. The tile guy was able to work around these difficulties and give the illusion of a level bathroom by cutting and trimming pieces to fit perfectly. As we got to the mosaic part, we found that our overall height was going to be off by a few inches. The tiler was patient with us as we worked out an alternative layout to make things work. I had to run to the store to buy a few additional tiles to compensate. Johann came back the last day to finish the seal coating and caulking My only complaint is that they had no way to drill holes in the glass tile to accomodate for the spigot and shower head pipes so, a few tiles were split in half to cut notches and remounted. If we thought ahead, we could have had those spots preplanned. We paid a bit more than we were hoping to, but in the end it was well worth the money spent as the shower area looks amazing.

They started on time and barring any delays on my vendor's end in providing some items on time they finished the project in six weeks and was beautiful, I was extremely happy.

I called Johann from Tigele Tile and Mosaics based on the glowing reviews on Angie's List to finish up some tile work from our kitchen and bathroom renovation. I wanted a professional and perfectionist to fix a couple issues from our general contractor and install the visually impactful areas of the kitchen backsplash and bathroom sink backsplash. Johann came by to give an estimate. He was very detailed and he worked with me regarding the grout colors and trim in the kitchen. The bathroom backsplash was a wavy glass and I didn't know how it should be grouted. He suggested that we not use any grout except on the top edge. His ideas were perfect. I decided to work with Johann based on his friendly disposition and expertise. He installed a glass tile kitchen backsplash and replaced the window casing. I was very concerned about the grout because I made a mistake with my bathroom floor grout that our contractor installed during our renovation. It wasn't the look I was going for. Johann regrouted the bathroom floor, and help me choose the grout in the kitchen. We chose one grout for the kitchen but as he applied it, he decided to custom mix it to create a slightly different shade. He checked with me to make sure it was ok and it was absolutely perfect. Johann is an artist, and very professional. If I had known, I would have used Johann to install all the shower and floor tile work in our bathroom renovation.

The contractor and workers were prompt and showed up on time every day. The gutting of the bathroom was quick. The workers showed me how poorly the wiring had originally been done and the risked I've lived with since I have been in the house - 16 years. I am relieved to see and know that all new PVC pipes are now installed in place of the old galvanized pipes, the tub pipe broke just as the worker was replacing another part of the pipe. I think the finer details of the plumbing and electrical was somewhat more time consuming. For the most part, I wanted the job done right and didn't rush the workers. My questions and concerns were quickly addressed. The work was done with skill and professionalism. The bathroom was old and outdated, now it's new, fresh, modern and I'm happy to show it off to family and friends.

Johann showed up on time and provided us with a timely and accurate estimate. He also provided his proof of licensure and insurance with his quote, which was a welcome surprise. The price he quoted was more than we had hoped to spend, so I don't think that we'll be using him. However, just based on conversation with him, I could tell he would do a phenomenal job.

Very well, completed on time and on budget.

After comparing tiling companies on this site, we chose Tigele Tile based on the A ratings. I called Johan and he answered immediately and was able to schedule a consultation with me the following day. He arrived exactly when he said he would and was very professional. He showed us pictures of his previous projects and everything was done beautifully. He gave us a very fair price. He returned four days later and completed the installation with one other worker on that same day! It was done beautifully and even worked around a couple challenges which our builder left unfinished. We plan on having more tile work done and will call Johan to do it!!

After painting our kitchen, we decided that new tiles were in order! After finding only amazing reviews on Johann and his company we called them for an estimate. Shortly after Johann left our house, I received an email with his quote and his licence information. He patiently waited while we looked for tile and when the day came, they arrived on time and began to work immediately. Laying the kitchen tile required the washer and dryer to be moved and in doing so, they discovered a wall with a small mildew problem. They replaced the wall flawlessly. We also added a tile floor to our bathroom, in addition to asking them to replace the toilet and vanity. After they left for the day, the areas that they worked in were immaculate. Johann and his crew did an outstanding job and everything is beautiful. Their work reflects their pride and skillmanship and I feel very fortunate to have had them help me love my house again!

He was very friendly and professional. He arrived on time and provided documentation for an overview of his services. It is obvious that his business is run very efficiently and professionally. While we went with another contractor, we will definitely keep his company on the short list for tiling jobs in the future.

We had severe leaking from our old shower and had several estimates as to partial renovation of our shower and subfloor etc. Check Angie's list and got three estimates, one of the estimates the person took five minutes to acess and ask a few questions, one vendor just gave us an estimate on grouting and tile replacement. Johann spent a half hour with us, asking questions and pointing out the problems with the sub-floor and also showed us several options on his tablet of his previous work and detailed how his crew worked and that each member had specialized skills. He gave us a time line of a month to six weeks as he had been working on a large project but assured me he would do his best to get the work down in a timelly manner as he had several crews and could rotate them when there was a lull in the other projects such as waiting for materials or special ordered materials. I was impressed with his team and he was able to sart the demo immediaetly upon the signed contract. They introducded themselves and got to work. They started promptly at eight, brought drop clothes ang got to work. I was kept apprised of each segment of work and how long it would take them and Johann would check on each leg of the project with both myself and his crew and checked in by phone as well. The work was professional, detailed and the team completed the whole job in two weeks and I was pleased with the quality and end result of a beautiful, sturdy and updated shower renovation and new toilet installations. I am considering another bathroom renovation and definitely will use Tiegle Tile and Mosiacs again.

We were extremely pleased with Tigele Tile and Mosaic for our complete gut and remodel of our master bathroom. Johann (the owner) came out to give an estimate and he was very straightforward about everything. He gave us suggestions on areas of the project to save money and was extremely knowledgeable in both the design and technical aspects of the project. They handled everything, including all plumbing, electrical, glass, tile, etc.) In addition, Johann and his crew were the most professional contractors I've worked with. They showed up as scheduled and were always on time. They were very considerate of the rest of our house, made sure to keep the dust and debris contained within the project area, and they cleaned up after themselves every night when they were finished. The only rating other than an A I gave was for price (B), and that is ONLY in comparison with the rest of our estimates. They were not the highest estimate, but in the top half. I am a firm believer, however, in the idea that you get what you pay for. In this case, it was certainly true. Tigele Tile and Mosaic did an amazing job remodeling our master bathroom and combined outstanding craftsmanship and professionalism. I would recommend them highly.

I'm the owner of a low rise condo/3 flat. I discovered that there was some leaking from the granite shower and got a few quotes from granite tile guys on Angie's list. 2 of the 3 had cheaper quotes than Tigele, but I decided to go with Tigele because Johann (the owner and manager) clearly knew what he was doing more than the others. Johann is a consummate professional-- Prompt, conscientious, honest, and his work is great. HIs estimate was accurate and his technical knowledge was clearly superior to the 2 other quotes I got. He looked at my granite shower and knew exactly what the problem was and why, and he even know who the builders were who likely constructed the building and knew about most of the shortcuts that were taken when my condo was built. The other 2 guys would have done it cheaper but corners would have been cut. Bottom line-- Tigele is quality work and worth every penny.

Tigele (Johann) was very professional when giving me a price quote for my remodel project. He showed up on time to quote the project. The price was competitive and fully line-itemed. He promptly returned my call when we found out my particular municipality (Evanston) required a contractor's test (they would not recognize a City of Chicago license), Johann offered to take the test (rather than tell me to take a hike!!) and made calls to Evanston to try to get this worked out. That was above and beyond service. The only reason I did not use him is that Evanston was not able to provide him with the booklet for the test - what a mess Evanston - but it was no fault of Johann and I would use him in a heartbeat if I could.

We have just completed our entire first floor renovation. We are extremely pleased with our kitchen tile work that was completed by Johann and his team. Johann is a perfectionist! His team was very professional and clean. The work was meticulous and finished on-time.

In addition the Angies's list reviews, we had a reference from our neighbor who also spoke very highly of their work. Johann was very responsive and turned around an estimate to us on the same day. When we proceeded with the work, Johann and his team were always on time, always courteous, worked diligently, cleaned-up thoroughly, and disposed of all materials. Moreover, the tile work is beautiful!!! They made a standard Contractor-grade bathroom look like a million dollars! We are really happy with their work. We highly recommend them and will use them again with any future renovations we might have.

I just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you for the nice job you did for me Johann. You and your workers are excellent indeed. I have other things in mind that I will definitely call you on in the future. The kitchen cabinets look just like I imagined they would look like in the space I have. Great job with helping me to choose granite counter top to go along with the color of my brand new cabinets too. I did not know such granite ever existed. Thank you so much. Johann and his crew did an excellent job from start to finish. I contacted Johann late Friday night for a quote. He came by on Sunday afternoon and we had a quote that Tuesday. After evaluating other vendors, Johann was the most qualified, had the best reviews and was the best price! He was available to start the project quickly and was flexible on timing. With the tile work and electrical, there were a few guys working in our place and all were very friendly and professional. Johann kept us in the loop on when they would be there, what work was left to do and when they would be finished. It was a small project and he and his team were committed to doing a great job and finishing on time. I would definitely recommend Johann to my friends and family as well as hire him again. Excellent! Juhann is a creative perfectionist. From planning to to completion he was a professional.He met our every expectation.

From the very beginning, it was a pleasure working with Johann and Tigele. Though Johann was obviously quite busy, he was responsive and easy to deal with from the outset. He was helpful when giving us an estimate and even recommeneded against doing a few things that would have given him more work - that's when I knew we would use him. The job itself consisted of many smaller jobs, so he and his team were required to come and go multiple times. Throughout the process they were easy to deal with, clean, efficient and did great work. They are highly recommended - you don't need to look any further. I will absolutely use Tigele again.

I remodeled our master bath so we could have a heated floor. Since we were able to plan three months out we got just the time frame we wanted for the work to be done. Johan and his crew showed up on the day and time we set, and the work was done completely within two weeks. The quality of all the work (plumbing, tile, walls, cabinet, counter top, and lighting installation) were done with great care and are as flawless as possible. The only glitch was the wiring on the heated floor, which was fixed within a reasonable time frame. It is sometimes hard to get hold of Johan; I strongly recommend using text messaging. But anyone looking for excellent workmanship in a bathroom remodel would be well advised to contact him for a quote.

Wow! We couldn't be happier. Johann installed our kitchen backsplash and a few minor details to our kitchen. The backsplash is beautiful. When I called for an estimate, he returned my call within an hour, and came a few hours later. Our estimate was provided that day. As soon as we had the tile, in fact, that day, he installed the backsplash. The crew is very careful using tarps and great clean-up. I will definitely call them again. Just a beautiful job....

Working with Johann was great. He was very clinical when he came out for the estimate. He was ready to go with the job before we were because we had plans to be out of town soon after we decided to go with him. Then, we picked out tiles on a Sunday afternoon and let him know, and he started the next day. They made amazing progress working from 8:15AM until 7:15PM; demolition was done and they laid down the new floor, including the new step into the shower, did the drain work, and put in a new baseboard by the shower. There were two more days of work involved (grout, caulk, sealing on one day, and the shower door installation on another). Everything looked great. Johann had made a great suggestion to use a taller shower door; this made the shower look much more substantial. I had one tiny problem when the work was done: the caulk along the whirlpool tub looked rough next to the fresh new caulk by the shower. Johann stopped by a couple of days later and caulked the length of the tub so it'd match the shower.
