Robert responded to my email within a few hours. We scheduled an appointment within a day or two. He was on time, professional, told me exactly what was wrong, showed the parts that needed repair, and repaired them. A very positive experience.

Robert is very, very good. He arrived on time and within 5 minutes had a hypothesis about the problem which he confirmed. It turned out to be something with a small part that controls the heat cycling on and off which he replaced, showing me what he was doing and explaining it. He is quite engaging and personable, as well as clearly competent and skilled, and I was more impressed with him than I have been with myriad other handymen/repairmen who've come into our house over the years. I thought the charges reasonable and the overall experience outstanding. I asked him, while he was here, to offer some ideas on why my refrigerator isn't working quite as it should, and with my brief description he suggested two possible causes that are both plausible. He obviously had a good knowledge of the brand of refrigerator (Viking) and its issues. When that appliance has its next "episode", I will be calling Robert to come make the definitive diagnosis and finally relieve me of that frustration.

EXCELLENT! Robert is the total package: he knows his stuff and he is a good businessman. Sadly, so many contractors and repairmen I come across are horrible: they don't call back, they are late, overpriced, rude, you name it. Robert is highly professional, extremely knowledgeable and tech savvy so the overall experience is just smooth from start to finish. The way it is supposed to be. I look forward to using him again. He is my new go to guy!

Bob Wilson, the other Bob, arrived earlier than scheduled. He diagnosed the problem was with the base my washing machine was sitting on and not the machine itself. Bob was honest, timely, friendly and professional. I will use the Fix-It-Guy for future needs.

They have really gotten popular so I had to leave a message, but they called me back in less than 30 minutes.These guys quickly assessed the problem, ordered the part and fixed it within a week. I use them for my rental property too. This father son combo is top notch!

Robert (owner) knows how to do business. It's small operation and he's a hard worker. Came out to diagnose for free and knew exactly what the issue was (this was Friday), ordered parts and was back today (Monday) to do the repair. Finished the work in an hour, and gave some tips on how to clean it and keep it running smoothly. Very honest guy and i never felt for a moment that he was trying to take advantage of me (I'm a bit cynical and and feel like that happens often). He was a little bit late (45 minutes), but given the nature of this line of work, anything within an hour is good by me.

It went very well. The serviceman was courteous, walked me thru the service as he was fixing everything, and completed it perfectly. I would definitely use their service again

He was fabulous. He arrived early and proceeded to get to work. Sadly, he found that two appliances were not worth fixing. He said that he could and would repair both appliances - but that it would cost so much that I was better off buying new. He explained in detail the issues, the costs for repair, etc. He took his time and answered all my questions. Though I do not wish for any additional appliances to break down, I would use The Fix It Guy again in a heartbeat.

Called to set appointment and was convenient as he setup for same day as requested. Called to reschedule for an hour later and he said no problem. One hour window came and went and he NEVER called and NEVER showed up. A complete blow off. If he doesn't want the business why doesn't the company just say so and not leave customers hanging?? Will never understand that. I would NEVER use this individual again. Professionalism and character is not difficult and should be focus on any service related company.

He was very quick and cost effective. He was supposed to also repair my tenant's dryer as well, but very bluntly told me any problems caused was from overloading. Very honest and I highly recommend!

It was excellent service. He did what he said he would. The price that they told me it would be before they arrive here, was exactly what he said. The technician that came out here was professional and knowledgeable. They are a very good company. I would recommend them and I would use them again. I called them Sunday and they came out right away. I told him that I need someone out here as quick as possible and he came out a lot sooner than he thought he could. I was real happy with their service. It was $60 to have them come out and additional $55 to fix the problem. He let me know before hand the least that I was going to spend and then whatever the parts were going to be. I always appreciated that, because I know what the ballpark is going to be. They were professional, knowledgeable and punctual. He called me before hand and let me know that he was on his way. Which I appreciated, because it was a Sunday and my day off, I did not want to get up early and wait around for him. He said that he would be here in 30 minutes and he was here in 15 minutes. I would use them again.

Provided great advice over the phone so i could fix my broken garbage myself on a late friday afternoon. For free. Great guy with integrity. Will be certain to call on for future needs. .

For once, getting some work done in my condo was so seamless! Being one of the first times I needed professional help, I resorted to Yelp and was initially somewhat circumspect of The Fix-It Guy's insanely high reviews, but can now endorse it with confidence. Robert did a great job from start to finish in fixing my washing machine. Kudos to him for his professionalism and use of technology (credit cards, email receipts, calendar invites for appointments etc.) which made the process a lot easier. He was prompt at scheduling a time that mutually worked for both of us and was flexible with after business hours and weekend appointments. His experience was evident as he was quick to diagnose the problem, lay out my options and even temporarily fix it while he ordered the replacement part (the water pump, which took 2 days for delivery). He then came for a followup visit to install the pump after which my machine is working like new. As with most handymen and repair services, its hard for them to give you an exact time and resort to time slots, but Robert would call half an hour before he was going to get to my place, a small gesture that is much appreciated. Also, being somewhat of a DIY and electronics enthusiast, Robert was patient in explaining the working of the washer and instructions on how to fix it should I choose to do it myself ever in the future. He charged $60 for the initial diagnostic visit, which was applied to the $129 total labor charge for the part installation. The part itself cost me ~$190. Should I have chosen not to replace the part, I would have only paid the $60. (i.e. I paid $60 + $190 + $69). FYI, my pump stopped functioning properly because of coins that damaged it because I was missing a lint filter in my drum. Make sure you always have the filter in to prevent debris from going in to the drainage system of the washer

Robert came out, discovered a bad switch and rigged it so the dryer would still work while the part was ordered. When the part arrived, he was ill and had to cancel, but he called to me to let me know. A second appointment was set up and meanwhile, the work around failed, so we couldn't dry clothes, but he came out Friday and now we can do lots of laundry and everything works fine.

He took care of replacing the unit in a short amount of time. And was very flexible with schedule.

Punctual and professional. Appreciated that he put limits on the repair, as further work would begin to cost close to the replacement cost. We eventually had to replace the washing machine, but his repair of the door mechanism bought us another months of use.

My tenant called and the clothes dryer had quit heating up. I have been so pleased with Angies list so far...I figured why not? So I called The Fix It Guys on Wednesday afternoon and met the service man the following morning. Less than thirty minutes later the dryer was working perfectly.

I was pleased with our repairman and the service provided. The repairman, Robert Wilson, was very personable and professional. The actual repair took about ten minutes; it was resolved very quickly. I liked that swiftness! While I was pleased with the speed of the repair, I have to honestly say that it made me second guess the charge fee... which is why I rated the price a "B." $129 for a ten minute job may be on the high end. However, I'm unsure about the price because I did not obtain a quote from another service provider. This was one of those repairs, that if we had the education, we could have done it on our own. However, we didn't have the know-how (or didn't want to risk doing something wrong), so we called in a professional. Hiring the professional went well.

My dryer stopped working and I called on a Wednesday and surprisingly he was here on Thursday morning. He diagnosed the problem and since he didn't have the part with him, he went out to buy it and I was using the dryer later that afternoon. He even reattached the dryer hose without me asking. He was timely, professional and personable at the same time I would definitely use The Fix-it Guy again.

The Fix-It Guy was prompt and very business like. He was very honest with what problem actually was, and did not recommend anything unnecessary. He was able to fix the light quickly. I would recommend him to anyone!
