 + -1 moreI had a very difficult time trying to find an electrician who could understand what I needed to have done in my building, but not break the bank. I obtained quotes from numerous companies in Chicago, all of which either were overpriced or only quoted me on work they felt should be performed for their benefit, but not taking into consideration the necessity of the work to be performed. I also received differing quotes from each company and needed an electrician to break the ice. After meeting with Marcus, I felt very confident given his knowledge, professionalism and responsiveness that I had finally found an electrical contractor to proceed with the electrical work that made the most sense, both logically and economically. Marcus is very gentle, easy to deal with and the most mannered and reasonably priced electrician I have ever met. I am very pleased with Marcus and his crew and would definitely use him for all future electrical needs.

Description of Work: Marcus installed an electrical line and circuit to install a stove hood. He needed to find the right way to pull the line through without having to install additional conduit. His team also installed 2 bathroom exhaust fans.

 + -1 moreMarcus was called in to evaluate irregularly working outlets...after examining the breaker box it was clear that corrosion on the bus bar was the issue and so we determined the box would need to be replaced but he said he would try and just try and replace the bar itself saving time and money. Marcus was able to do this, on time and saved money for the owner. I would recommend him again and will use him again...my regular electrician not being available was the best thing that could have happened to me.
Description of Work: Marcus came by and diagnosed a electrical problem fairly quickly, as I am in the business of property management I can say I was impressed with his clarity of mind and great electrical skills as he quickly identified the problem and suggested a couple of courses of action (that would give us options and save money.

 + -1 moreMy experience with T&D was just phenomenal. Marcus is super responsive and an overall great guy to work with. I purchased one of their coupon and that turned out to be a great deal. Making an appointment was super easy. he was a week out on his scheduling, which is normal. The day of the appointment, he and his co-worker arrived on time at 7:30am. His co-worker, Gonzalo is a very nice guy as well and quite competent. He did the work and Marcus came to make sure everything is all set. Gonzalo installed an outdoor light ( I purchased the light) where I used to have a motion sensor light with a new dimmer switch, which T&D supplied. He then installed a new outlet for me on the outside of my garage connecting to the power on the inside of the my garage. Again, they supplied all the material. Like I said, I believe this to be a very great deal and they were so professional about everything, never nickel and diming me for anything. Completely honest and great contractor. Very hard to find these types of contractors. I am very happy to find them and will use them again in the future I am sure. Thank You Marcus and Gonzalo! Great work!

 + -1 moreGreat from start to finish!! Marcus was very friendly and prompt at returning calls/emails. The estimate for the work was the most reasonable of the 3 we had done. They pulled all the wiring, installed all the cameras and added a few needed outlets as well for connecting the system. Marcus was in communication the whole time they worked to confirm any details and called after they had completed the job to make sure everything was up to satisfaction as well. Anytime our building (or my personal unit) has a need for an electrician we will definitely contact T&D again!!
Description of Work: Pull all wiring and install security cameras on condo building. Also added some outlets in the main electrical closet for us.

 + -1 moreMarcus and his crew came over, and came up with a good solution. They had to trench and install a new electrical feed from the panel to the Garage. They also took care in bring up the Garage connections to code. Marcus's workers were friendly and did their best to answer any of my questions, while they were repairing my connection. I was impress with both their work, as well as their professionalism. I will be using them again.
Description of Work: After those heavy rains, we lost power to the Garage. Somehow the underground cable supplying electrical had failed. The Garage is at least 40 years, if not older. My original connection was in a pipe, three feet below grade. The wiring that was originally used, was like a lead shielded cloth wiring. Something I have never seen before. And I had power up to the exit point on the house.

He gladly waited a week, and when he came to review the work, it would fall within the allowed amount I had purchased the deal for, and he told me he had a man working in the area and they performed the work that day!!! I was thrilled with the quality and the speed at which they performed the work, and except for the fact that the lights now worked, you would have never known they had been in my condo. The work was outstanding and they cleaned up beautifully. I highly recommend them and will absolutely use them again if I run into something beyond my capabilities.
Description of Work: I needed to have a chandelier swapped out, an outlet moved from one side of the wall (in the dining room) to the other side of the wall (into the kitchen) and a switch replaced in my bathroom because the light had stopped working.

 + -1 moreAfter living our home for 2yrs, we received a notice from ComEd regarding not having a CECHA stamp for our meter unit and were told that a contractor would need to take care of meter and this stamp. T&D was one of 2 companies that we called to have them inspect our meter and let us know what would be needed. Marcus from T&D came out on a Saturday, reviewed our electrical meter and informed us that we only needed a stamp that could be provided by the company who made meter box unit. He explained that no actual electrical work was need and he explained what the stamp was and why ComEd requires it. He was willing to give us the number of the company to allow us arrange for them to review and add the stamp, to avoid any charges. In the end, we decided to have him work with the company and ensure the was installed because we to make things were handled correctly. We were so happy we found an honest electrical contractor, as the other contractor who came out for an estimate said we need a some electrical work done outside and that we would need to pay for some to sit at the house to wait for an inspector. None of which was needed at all. We will definitely be using T&D again for re-wiring jobs that we would like to do in the next year.

There was some problems with one of the fixtures but Fernando took the time to trouble shoot and figure out what was wrong before re-installing. Cleaned up following the installation.

 + 0 moreWOW outstanding doenst even begin to describe the professional work these guys do. Our main circuit breaker panel short circuited from water damage and we were out of power for a couple days during very cold weather. I called Marcus and he had a team at our house on Monday (a holiday) and they replaced everything and had our power up and running in less than 8 hours. They were on time professional polite and cleaned up after themselves. Marcus came out with them to start the job made sure they had everything they needed and then came and inspected all of their work when they were done. I cannot express how impressed I was with the entire experience. We were quoted $3500 for less work by the first electrician our warranty company sent out and a 2-3 day completion. He was not professional and had his son with him and made me very uncomfortable. I am so glad I called Marcus. We are having him also finish our basement we are so happy with his work. He will be my first call for any future projects. Thank You Marcus!!

The gentleman who came out for the estimate was on-time, patient with all my questions and confusion, very polite, very professional, and explained to me everything. Wires that I thought were electrical turned out to be from an old phone intercom system. I thought their pricing very fair, and as soon as I can, I will use them to do the work.

Description of Work: T&D Electrical installed a buried electrical conduit to my detached garage to replace one that had evidently rusted through. He also installed a new dedicated 20 AMP line to the garage along with two new GFCI outlets (one interior and one exterior). Marcus oversaw the work and completed the work on time at the agreed price. This price was less than half of the price quoted by a different electrician. He recommended the dedicated circuit when I asked about upgrading to 20 amp service. The installation involved adding a new circuit breaker, installing the new conduit and reconnecting to the existing garage wiring. Also installing the new outlets. Everything works as promised and it looks great. (If I had thought a little harder about the location of the outside outlet I might have had it moved slightly from the location where installed, but it was put where I asked.) Except for one minor part, the work was completed quickly and timely when requested. There was a gap on the breaker box that required a small plastic cover. He said he would take care of that the next day, but it actually was closer to two weeks before that part was installed. I mention this only to explain my B waiting for punctuality. Other than that it was very punctual.

I called the T&D Electrical and the guy named Paul came in. He was very prompt and performed the service requested to my full satisfaction. I would highly recommend them for services in future.
