 + -1 moreThey said it was a much bigger problem than I actually have. We need to have a lot more work done. They were here for two hours. The guy was unprofessional. I talked to his boss about the problem and he was more professional. The gentleman who came out was not the most professional guy.
Description of Work: They came out and sort of fixed the problem. My power is going out because it was not hooked up right originally. One of the wires was overloaded, frying it. They redid it.

 + -1 moreThe main part of the project was an unqualified success. Marcus set up his lead worker Fermin with precise instructions, and the work was done expertly and efficiently. I'm very happy with the quality of their work, and feel the price, including the Angie's List discount, was very fair. The work was done over two days, and the guys were great about cleaning up between days, as well as at the end. The only rub was when I asked them to install a new wi-fi thermostat called ecobee. They assured me they could do the work, but I had to call in an HVAC specialist the next day to fix the installation. I would have preferred they said, "sorry, we can't do that." Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend T & D to anyone, or to use them again myself.
Description of Work: Installed track lighting, moved ceiling fan and switch on each of 4 floors in condo loft building. Also installed ecobee thermostat.

 + 0 moreMarcus and his office staff were responsive and a delight to work with throughout the proposal process; answered all of our questions and was both diligent and thoughtful in his approach to the work. On the day of installation his crew arrived early and got setup before Marcus arrived and went through everything that was to be performed in a precise an accurate manner. The job was performed in an appropriate amount of time with no issues, no hassles, and everything was cleaned up at the conclusion of the work. Marcus and his team are absolutely going to be my go-to electricians for any future work.
Description of Work: Installed under-cabinet LED strip lights in two different locations of the kitchen, including a new separate switch for each. Installed two different smart (wifi) electrical outlets. Installed an outdoor GFCI outlet at the front of our house. Installed a hard wired connection for a future garbage disposal.

 + 1 moreTo preface the review: I had a small home restoration company for 10 years in Atlanta and managed and did the work, with all repeat/referral business. Cost: Marcus prepared a detailed estimate, itemizing all services to be done. Compared with other estimates received, he was the least expensive by nearly half. That being said, Marcus and the other companies all said it would take 1 to 2 days to complete. It took TD Electrical 1.5 days to complete. The only materials supplied by TD Electrical were romex, conduit to run the romex through, outlets, switches and closet light, with the majority of the cost being labor. So the cost was very reasonable compared to other estimates received. Required less down payment than the others as well. lWork: Very positive experience. Did all that we needed, answered all questions, arrived on time, and updated the progress each day. The only negative comment was that all the strippings from the wire were not cleaned up. However, the room the electrical was done has drops and tools in it for other work being done, so this is understandable. Will definitely use TD Electrical again and highly recommend them to others.
Description of Work: Installed 3 new outlets, 3 new light switches, a new box for a ceiling fan, a new box for track lighting, a new light in the closet, and labeled the main panel.

 + -1 moreWe found T&D Electrical thoroughly professional: responsive to our calls, willing to schedule a visit around our work hours, informative when explaining what needed to be done. Shortly after winter started this year we realized that the heat in the electric baseboards in our basement wasn't working and the thermostat wasn't working at all. Marcus explained that the wiring had been done incorrectly and he and his crew spent several hours rewiring the baseboards. Unfortunately, the thermostat couldn't be salvaged, so this review (and the price) refers to T&D's return visit, when they installed a new thermostat. We are happy with the heating in the basement and confident that the wiring has been done correctly.

At one point I had to clarify what I was looking for and despite some difficulty re-routing the electrical line he was able to finish the job exactly as I wanted. And he did a great job of cleaning up when the work was finished. Would definitely recommend Fermin to anyone looking for a qualified electrician!
Description of Work: While installing a new dishwasher we found the electrical setup to be less than ideal. The original dishwasher house electrical line was positioned directly behind the dishwasher and protruded 5 inches from the wall which prevented us from pushing the dishwasher all the way back into position and making the front flush with the cabinet doors. The electrical line was run from a hole in the side of the cabinet behind the dishwasher to the sink cabinet and was then hardwired to the old dishwasher and the garbage disposal in a metal junction box mounted on the floor of the sink cabinet (probably not the best placement considering potential for water leaks!) So I called a couple electricians on Angie's list and T&D Electrical was able to come out to our place within 2 hours. Prompt service! We asked the electrician to re-route the electrical line through the wall and directly into the kitchen sink cabinet rather than behind the dishwasher. We then requested a new wall-mounted GFCI receptacle (outlet) under the kitchen sink that the new dishwasher would simply plug into. He completed the work in 2 hours and despite some difficulties routing the house electrical line through the wall and into the sink cabinet he completed the job exactly as we asked. He even hardwired the garbage disposal to the new under sink outlet!

After calling nearly 2 dozen contractors, T&D was 1 of only 3 companies that would both do the electrical work (adding a new circuit) and heater coil installation that we needed. T&D's estimate was the lowest of the 3 and they were able to schedule the work relatively quickly. There was bad weather the day they were to start work, and no one called to say they would be a few hours late, unfortunately. When they did show up, though, they did a great job and even updated a light fixture for us at no charge. The bill exactly matched the estimate and the work was done in the time they indicated. A great job overall and I'd recommend them to others.

 + 0 moreGreat experience all around. I got 4 bids, T&D's was the lowest. Everyone from Office Manager Siobhan to the electricians who did the work (Marcus & Fermin) were professional, courteous and responsive. My condo association requires a copy of license and an insurance certificate; Siobhan got them for me. When I met Marcus to assess the project he took a lot of time to patiently explain the process. I had a list of follow up questions, Marcus emailed me detailed responses. When the originally scheduled date had to be changed, Marcus texted me to explain. The work went off pretty much without a hitch. While Marcus was at my condo I had him look at the burned out association parking lot lights. The lights are about 25 feet in the air requiring a bucket lift truck. The property manager's electrician doesn't have one. Siobhan quickly emailed the property manager a proposal and Marcus got the lights fixed within a couple of days. I will definitely use again if I need an electrician. I would say call Siobhan and have her set up a meeting with Marcus before making a final decision on an electrician.

T&D made two trips, the first to run the conduit up to the roof, and the 2nd was after the A/C units were installedd to run the wires and connect the the power. Marcus and his team are easy to work with and professional. The only issue we ran into was trying to schedule them to come back for the 2nd visit. The day they were scheduled to return they could not make it due to working at another job. It took two days, but they did come back and finish up quickly.

 + 1 moreI originally contacted Marcus at T&D Electrical a few months ago for electrical repairs at our condo building. This was for repairs to the front and back stairwell lights, as well as installation of some motion sensors, photo cells, and replacing fixtures over the front and back door. We had a misunderstanding over the price and original invoice, and I left a negative review on Angies List. He contacted me immediately and apologized and offered to do the work. Marcus is certainly knowledgeable and a skilled electrician, so I gave thin the job. Unfortunately the man he sent to do the work (Fermin I believe his name is) was not the best. What he quoted as taking an hour eventually took 4 days. Not a deal breaker since I wasn't paying per hour, but he just seemed less professional and knowledgeable than Marcus. He especially never wrote anything down when I explained issues to him, which was conquering because there were many aspects to the job. I would have to come home each day and make a list of what was not done properly or completely. Nothing major, but still, a little frustrating. In the end, Marcus took care of everything quickly himself, and we were very satisfied with the job. I would definitely recommend T&D Electrical as Marcus is very good and honest, but make sure he does the job himself.

 + 0 moreThe install probably took about two hours (it's difficult to remember the time exactly). Four holes needed to be cut in the ceiling, as the first location for the light turned out to be obstructed (this is not too surprising). The electrician left a bit of foam between the trim and ceiling to make it easier for the painters (who were coming the following week) to paint underneath it. He also left the pieces of drywall behind so that the painters could use those to patch the holes in the ceiling. Overall, the work was done quickly and professionally and we were very happy with the results. We had more projects that we were hoping to complete in the following weeks, but when we emailed T&D about them, the response was fairly slow. We ended up hiring a different electrician to do the other projects simply because we were in a rush and he was more responsive and flexible on scheduling. Good contractors are the busy ones though, so I wouldn't necessarily count this against T&D.
Description of Work: The electrician installed a recessed light in our master bath shower and connected it to an existing fan switch.

 + -1 moreThe work went fine and passed inspection. The crew was always very prompt, pleasant and professional and always cleaned up after they finished for the day. This project required some holes to be cut in the ceiling, but Marcus and his crew were thoughtful in where the holes were made, so as to try to minimize the scope of the repairs necessary; the cuts were neat and they saved and reinstalled the cut pieces of drywall such that the patching and repair of the ceiling would not need to completed immediately, which I appreciated greatly. I also appreciated that the overall cost for the work performed was consistent with the estimate. I chose T&D Electrical because of their high rating and positive reviews on Angie's list, and found that they deserve their A rating. I would highly recommend T&D Electrical.
Description of Work: T&D Electrical updated our electrical panel and performed some re-wiring in the house as well. The work passed inspection.
