Swifty Blinds

I've used Swifty several times after a poor initial experience -- I simply couldn't find others reasonably close by who provide this service. Swifty has done good, timely work, and communicated with me about when my stuff was ready for pick-up, so I'm happy to revise my rating upward.

These people are amazing. A great family business. Who knew that there was someone out there would would take down your blinds, fix them and clean them, all within the same day? Wonderful family-run business.

Swifty is the ultimate in professionalism and great service. Despite the fact that we had 11 sets of both wooden and faux wood blinds of varying sizes, all were beautifully cleaned and rehung the same day. The one-day service was pretty amazing, considering the company is located on the north side of Chicago, and we are located in a western suburb. The driving time alone had to be three or more hours! We will definitely use this company again.

By my phone description, they said work would be about $140.00. Dustin, their tech, was able to fix both blinds on site (I did not describe it correctly). Honest and smart company that saved me time and money.

I was trying to find someone to repair a broken cord on my honeycomb shades. They have broken before and I was looking for a better and different provider. So glad I found Swifty Blinds on Angie's. I hadn't even thought about getting them cleaned but, thought they could benefit from that, too. Swifty Blinds arranged pickup very quickly. Arrived promptly to take down the shades. They readily agreed to a return date and time that worked for my schedule. When the shades were returned they looked really fresh, an old water stain had been removed and the new cords seem far more sturdy than the original manufacturer's ones or the other previously repaired ones. Would happily use them again.

Our pleated shades were picked up, serviced, and re-installed the same day. They inspected the vertical blinds and said it was not repairable, but recommended a new track, which had to be ordered. The technician reinstalled the broken unit, and we ordered a new track, which was installed in a couple of weeks. For $113, our verticals operate as if they are new. We had three pleated shades which were not operating properly, but ended up only paying for one repair. The technician said one had a twisted cord and the other just had a cord that needed to be lengthened, so he did not charge us. The shades we had cleaned look like new. I would use Swifty again without question.

This company is wonderful and I would definitely recommend them. They did a great job cleaning my blinds. I have terrible allergies and I think having my dusty blinds cleaned will definitely help. They arrived on time and took down the blinds and brought them back to their facility for the cleaning. I live far from the office and I didn't expect same day service but amazingly; they came back the same day and reinstalled the blinds. Not only did they do a great job but I also had a broken vertical blind laying on my floor from my sliding glass door blinds that I didn't have them clean. The technician noticed the blind laying on the floor (where it has been for over a month) and he went to his truck and got a clip and fixed my blind!!! I am thrilled with their service!!

We were in the middle of a renovation and they came, picked up the blinds and did not deliver them back for quite some time because the renovation went on and on. It was a big job. They were nice to work with. They were very prompt and did just as they promised. They were just good to work with. We thought their price was reasonable. We will use them again as we have another place that we need the blinds cleaned in.

Their prices were extremely realistic compared to other companies that I received estimates from. I have had this service done often before and this was one of the best jobs I have ever had done. The technician who came out was extremely accommodating. He wanted to get the blinds back to me on the next day. His father, who is also a part of the business, was going in for surgery the next day and he still wanted to have them back to me in one day. I did not need them back in any hurry and we agreed on them to be returned within a few days. They were excellent! I would definitely use them again.

Showed up on time. Used a better string to ensure against future breakage. Works great now. Saved $$$ and helped me avoid having to buy an expensive blind.

From the very beginning when I emailed the company to set up an appointment, everything was extremely professional and accommodating. Laurie promptly answered my email inquiry and was able to set up my appointment within a week. I had a somewhat unusual request to come to our home first and then to our office, all within the same day. I was impressed they could do this for us. Dustin and David were very professional and took down the blinds quickly. The blinds were wrapped in canvas to protect them for their trip to the cleaning facility. The blinds at our office are over 20-years old and had never been cleaned before. They also had issues with the tilt mechanism not working on at least two of the sets. I had inquired with Dustin if the blinds would be done the same day. Because we had wood blinds in the mix, he was unsure if they could complete the work the same day, but assured me that he would call and let me know that afternoon. As promised, I did get a call and they were able to complete the job within the same day. Everything was returned sparkling and in good working condition. Initially, they were unsure if they would be able to fix the tilting mechanism in our office blinds, but they were able to find old parts to make the old blinds as good as new. I was also worried about the cleaning of our Silhouettes, as they just seem so delicate. I couldn't be happier with the outcome of these. Again, they look brand-new and are 14-years old! I will definitely use Swifty Blinds in the future!

I'm very pleased with the results. In addition to cleaning the blinds, some minor problems were repaired. I had been warned before the cleaning that the honeycomb blinds from the bedrooms were coated with a blackout material and might not do well during the cleaning process. I agreed to have them cleaned and they came back in perfect condition. The service was pricey but they did a good job. The service provider rehung the blinds and even pleated a very large fan shaped blind so that it was perfectly symmetrical.

Arrived on time and was very knowledgeable and took time to look at all our blinds and advise/repair.

we were impressed that they would drive seventy five miles to accommodate us. Dustin removed 5 honeycomb blinds drove 75 miles back to the plant, cleaned and dried th e blinds and brought them back, made some minor adjustments and reinstalled them. He was friendly and very knowledgeable . Thank you Angie for your help. We will definitely use Swifty again.

They did a great job with a house call. Serves Chicagoland area and not just Chicago (NW Side). They were busy though and took about 2 weeks to come out, but the technician was fast, completed a whole re-cord of my blinds in 30 minutes. The blinds I had were heavy wooden blinds and I figured it would cost me $200+ for new ones. $35 for the re-cord and $45 for visit. Worth the time. Not too pushy in selling new blinds, which I like, because if you call around, other guys consistently want to sell new blinds to you.

There were punctuality issues, but for quality and pricing I would use them again. I had a large miniblind where one side would not raise or lower. Swifty Blinds quickly gave me an estimate via email and we arranged a time for a someone to come out on a Tuesday and restring it. The day of the service call I had to call them half an hour after the appointment window to find out they were running late. The blind had a broken part that couldn't be fixed onsite, so Dustin took it to their shop and said it would be reinstalled Thurs or Fri, which was great. However, I didn't hear from them during the week and had to email and call on Monday. I got an appt. for Wed, and again had to call 1/2 hour after the appt. to find out they were running an hour late. The fixed blind worked well, Dustin apologized for being late, and he gave me a discount, so I give the experience a B overall instead of lower. And, given the company's quality work and reasonable rates, I would use them again. I suspect this was a pretty small job for them and they were squeezing it in, but in this era of cell phones there is no reason not to let a client know you will be an hour late.

Cleaned thoroughly, in less than 24 hours, at very very reasonable price.

I called Swifty Blinds after reading the reviews on Angies list. We were told someone would be out two days later at around 9:15 am. I received a call at 9:05 saying the driver would be 10 minutes late. Just from that phone call I knew that I was dealing with a great company. Dustin, the owners son, took the shades down within 10 minutes. He wanted to come back the same day, but I said we would not be home. He came the following day and re-installed the shades. In all of my years I have never delt with a more courteous and considerate company. Now I can not wait to use Dusin's father,Anytime Window Cleaning 773-235-5677, who does window washing and power deck cleaning.

The process was easy, easy, easy. I did not have time to clean them like i normally do, and this service was exactly what i needed. I think this will be a yearly item on my housekeeping calendar from now on.

Process went without a hitch. Pick-up was just a few minutes late, but got call from driver en route about traffic problems; return delivery -- on same day -- was on schedule. Blinds were cleaned beautifully, repairs were made and reinstallation was done with care. Service was professional, courteous...and personable. Would definitely use again.

Swifty blind company arrived on time and completed the repairs while he was here. Very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. We will definitely use this service again!

We have a split level flat and we had both the blinds and windows cleaned today. I could not have asked for a better experinece. The windows and blinds were cleaned in less than a day. Plus, it was worth every penny. A big thank you to the team at Swifty!
