Sols Chimney Sweep

Description of Work: There is really no reason to look elsewhere! Sol's Chimney Sweep is exceptional. Sol called before he came to confirm our appointment and arrived fifteen minutes early (when does that happen?). As he worked, he explained what he was doing and indicated how we can better care for our unit. Our fireplace proved to be a challenge, but Sol was determined to fix it and did not leave until he did. Once the unit was working, Sol cleaned up his work area and presented a reasonable bill for his services. It is refreshing to find someone who takes pride in his work and truly seems to enjoy his craft. I've found a person with whom I can do business for a long, long time.

Description of Work: We just purchased a home with 5 chimneys. They came out to the house and Sol not only cleaned and inspected the fireplaces and chimneys, he showed me how to operate everything. He was extremely knowledgable about every aspect of ventilation, draft, etc. They were very professional, respectful and through. They also performed a cleaning of the range hood that was covered in a very thick layer of grease from the previous homeowners. That hood is now like new! We plan to have them back to perform some tuck point maintenance on the inside of the fireplaces. Sol also recommended some products for me to purchase to clean up some stonework. They far exceeded my expectations.

Description of Work: We ordered a chimney sweep by Sol's based on favorable information obtained from Angie's List. We had just bought the house and was told by the home inspection to have this work done. Sol came out and determined that the chimneys were clean (one have barely ever been used), and that his service was unnecessary. He left, no charge. What an honest guy! Highly recommended.
