Sols Chimney Sweep

Great experience with Sol's business. It being fall, services are competitive. They found a way to meet my needs (chimney lining and connections, vent cleaning) and got the job done on-time.

Everything about our experience was excellent. George is responsive, has reasonable quotes, and knows what he's doing.

They did an outstanding job. They did their work very well, and they were very cordial and professional throughout. Cleaned up after themselves very well, and I'm completely satisfied with their work. This is a family owned business and they really care about your satisfaction and that they do their work perfectly.

This was, indeed, a very pleasant experience. A previous "chimney person" , who shall remain nameless, had incorrectly installed chimney caps. The installation was so bad I couldn't bear to look at them. I called Sol's Chimney Sweep this morning and Greg and Victor came out before 3:00 PM ! Not only did they provide same day response, they corrected the caps immediately. I can't express how very pleased I am, especially because I had called another company earlier and they would not even be able to look at the problem until mid-October ! Greg and Victor are two great guys with an abundance of personality and professionalism. I wish Greg and Victor also did plumbing !

Great! Sol was prompt with a quote, which was totally in range with two other quotes we got. Scheduled and completed the job fast. Crew was entirely professional, communicated well what they did, cleaned up when done. On time to show up and finish. Even did two odd jobs on the roof that we didn't know about without increasing the price!

I liked how the repairman was not quick to sell a new fireplace. We were borderline in needing a new one, but of course wanted to repair what we have if possible. He explained what he was doing, and how the system worked clearly. Over all it was a very possitive experience.

I called Sol's company after noticing some condensation coming from one of the two chimneys in my two flat building. He arrived promptly at the scheduled time, inspected both chimneys and told me what should be done to get them up to code. The chimneys were not properly lined for the use of the two furnaces and two water heaters. in the building. One chimney was overloaded with two water heaters and a furnace. Sol recommended that I disconnect the attic furnace from the old chimney and install a B vent chimney through the roof. He then would install a stainless steel liner in the chimney connecting the two water heaters, and install a flex liner and cap in the other chimney connecting the basement furnace. He told me he would talk the job over with his brother and stop by the following week to give me the best quote that he could. He again arrived at the scheduled time explained in detail the work to be done, and gave me a fair quote . On the scheduled day of the job he arrived with a crew of five and completed the work in one day. The chimneys had not been swept in sometime and it was quite a job to get them cleaned out. Everything was left spotless and the seal coats and pre fab crowns on the roof chimneys make them look brand new. Throughout the process Sol was a pleasure to deal with. He is professional and courteous, no hard sell to him.

Sol was able to schedule the service within 2 days of my calling. He arrived on time. He was very thorough in cleaning the fireplace and cleaning up his work area when finished. And he just might be the friendliest person you will ever work with.

I've had my chimney rebuilt twice and the flashing replaced this past Fall following 2013s winter damage. Sadly, the problem persists. This year's cold, snowy winter resulted in more ice jams, especially in the gutter area below the chimney. There are brick chips in the gangway and the chimney wall in the dining room is stained again. It's time to check out other options. I called Sol for information about chimney liners. He responded immediately to my Angie's email and answered all of my questions. I need to consult with gutter and other specialists before initiating work but I will certainly call Sol to bid on the liner.

Their price was reasonable and they even provided a discount for the duct. They were prompt and even arrived a little early to the appointment. One technician arrived with his assistant. We have an enclosed fireplace and it had to be taken apart to be swept. Sols found that the previous company we used did not take it apart properly. When they swept it, a lot of the deposits had stayed up in the chimney box. There was material that was starting to burn up on top that had become hazardous. Sols did a very thorough cleaning. There were very professional and neat. When they came into the house, they had everything taped off and they used a vacuum to capture any dust that may have escaped. They cleaned and scrubbed the entire chimney box as well. The ducting was completed in less than half of an hour and the whole job was finished in about three hours. They were great! They are the company we will use next year and we won’t call anyone else.

Sol's arrived on time and the job required two full days of work to complete. The end result is completely satisfactory!

Sol was great. He came for an estimate and gave me a deal to do both chimneys (instead of just the one that was damaged). His guys were polite and punctual and did not charge me extra for removal of the old "dog house" caps - the competitors estimate that I was much higher and seemed to want to charge separately for a number of things that Sol's service simply included in the price of a sweep + liner installation. I will happily call them again.

They did a great job, the fireplace works great. All the prep work was done professionally, the results are excellent. They were neat and clean. The instructions on using the fireplace were provided very patiently. The price was very very good. I would recommend this company to anyone needing fireplace or vent work.

Chimney Sweep was extremely professional and on time. All communication was smooth and helpful. They thoroughly explained all I needed to know and how it would be done. Nice, friendly and responsive to any and all questions I had. My appointment was a last minute thing since it was unexpected and needed work done before it got really cold out. They did what they could to fit me in even working on Sunday! I would not hesitate to call them back for any work I may need that they can provide! Glad I found them!

Sol was very responsible and punctual from our first appointment and inspection. On the day the work was done, the 2 man crew arrived at the exact time scheduled and the job was finished in 2 hours as promised. They were neat and cleaned up afterwards. If it weren't for the new items they installed, you'd never know any work had been performed that day.

First off, my wife and I love to support family owned businesses. Sol promptly answered our request for a quote on a gas vent removal and repair. We were told that the pitch and overall installation of our gas vents was wrong by an Hvac crew performing a different service. This issue was causing some CO to leak out. We set up a time for them to come out and they responded promptly. We also decided to use them for our Chimney repair. They were able to come out the following week for the work. Sol showed up with his family (on Saturday and with no contractors--great that they don't use them ) and they began right away. The finished product is phenomenal. I would surely use them again and would recommend them to any others.

I really liked this company. the called when they were on their way and when they arrived. Sols kept to his estimate. They cleened p all the dbris. They were very professional and freindly. I would definately recommend them for any one need chimney work.
