It went extremely well. Sol came out, and proceeded to inspect the chimney from my living room, where he discovered that there was debris accumulated and the chimney walls were flaking. He laid down a drop cloth, cleaned the lower half of the chimney, picked up the cloth and borrowed our broom to clean up any stray dust. He then recommended that we seal off the chimney because it was dangerous and purchase a gas unit. He told us how to seal it with sheet metal and the model of gas logs we would need. The other option was to purchase a chimney liner which would cost about $5000. He did not make a hard sell for this option although this is his business. In fact he thought the gas logs made more sense for us. He told us to check out to go to a home improvement store. We were quite impressed.

Sol and his crew were great! They were clean, fast, and professional. They worked happily in the bitter cold weather.

Sol returned our call quickly and set up an appointment, to which he and his assistant arrived early. We found out at the last minute that per our condo regulations, all the chimneys in our tier had to be cleaned at once. Sol was extremely accommodating and did all the additional work within a couple of hours. They kept everything very clean. We found him to be very easy to work with, the cost was comparable with other chimney sweeps we spoke to, and he did a great job! We'll definitely work with him again.

They were all friendly and professional, explaining well what they were doing. They estimated that the job would take all day, but were done by the early afternoon. The left the fireplace looking great, and cleaned up perfectly after themselves.

Sol was prompt, reliable, and easy to work with in inspecting our chimneys and making clear recommendations about what absolutely needed to be done and what could wait or was optional. He seemed entirely trustworthy. The crew he sent to do the actual work did a great job. They didn't complain, and went cheerfully ahead when the second chimney required a whole day's work more than they had originally expected (due to the condition of the old furnace liner), and they did not charge us more than the original estimate, even though this extra labor was required. They cleaned up well and made sure we were completely satisfied before they left the job. Our fireplaces now work wonderfully. We give Sol our highest recommendation.

We called to set an appointment and the job was completed within a week of calling. Great work.

Sol was able to fit me in on the same day's notice. He came out and swept the chimney. He did a great job without a mess. Sol was really nice and gave me some tips on the maintenece of my fireplace.

Sol was fair and thorough. Took about a week to arrange an appointment from the time of our first call, but that's better than the other three Angie's list A-rated companies we called (it's fall, and I guess everyone wants their chimney swept, inspected, and fixed). He patiently explained what was good and bad about our chimneys, recommended fixes. We are in the process of hiring him to do about $3000 more work to put a new liner in the chimney our gas furnace uses, and to repair and improve the two wood-fireplace chimneys. His manner, and the work so far give us confidence that this is a wise move on our part.

Very happy with their work. Were thorough and did a couple small extra jobs when requested for a reasonable fee while on the site.
