Excellent all around! We received three quotes and this was by far the most comprehensive. They came within a week of the quote and were done in 2 days...very professional. Painted all areas to match existing gate (not a fancy crazy color, only black but still the little details add up!) Gate works amazing!! Compliments from all tenants that utilize the parking area. Great to work with. Easy to talk to you. Great company.

My driveway gate has a broken piece so we purchased the part online. My neighbors and I (around Armitage and Halsted in Lincoln Park) previously used this company for our gate service for years but we've been shocked at their prices the last several years and most of us have stopped using them. I thought we would give them a try since its been a few years. RPM came today to provide me with an estimate...are you ready? I understand the economy is difficult but this is shocking. The estimate is in writing and states: - service call cost: $180.00 (I'm not kidding...it's more than an emergency plumber) -labor: $56.00 (half hour work) I can't imagine the price if we had to purchase the item from RPM. They did come out asap to provide an estimate. We have already contacted other companies...will keep you posted.

The team was professional and on time. They adjusted the offering based on the building requests. Following the install we found a problem with the fobs consistently working from a car when entering the driveway due to a brick "tunnel" in driveway. RPM immediately sent someone out to make adjustments to the antenna to resolve this. We would definitely work with RPM again.

Work was completed as promised, on time and on budget. We had some initial problems with the safety sensors malfunctioning, so that the gate would not close. RPM was very responsive to resolve the problem quickly and successfully, installing a different device. Would definitely recommend based on that alone.

Our rear driveway gate was in really rough shape. Since we wanted to use the driveway as a driveway, we decided to install a remote-operated fence instead of replacing the manual swinging doors. RPM was very responsive to my request for a quote and immediately came out to our home to provide us with an estimate. The price was reasonable and the finished work is top-notch. The whole process from inquiry to the finished work took about 2.5 weeks. Our interactions with all the staff from the office to the work site were pleasant and professional. We will definitely use them again and recommend them without reservation.

Our homeowners association just recently completed the replacement of 57 garage doors and the process could not have gone smoother. From Neil's first visit and suggestions to what doors we should use and how we should complete the project. MIke, who installed the doors was nothing but professional and his attention to detail was fantastic. Norma and Renee in the office took care of all of the scheduling and invoicing and helped with making sure the project came in on time. I would highly recommend RPM garage door for any project from installing one door to multiple doors.

They had to delay the installation for a day because of the torrential rain, but were there the next day in cold, windy conditions. I can't believe Mike and Tony were able to work outside like that, but they did a great job and were very accommodating when they occasionally had to move to allow someone in or out of our parking area. They explained everything they had done and how everything worked. Our entire building is so pleased that everything works and doesn't make all the terrible noise that the old gate did!

I contacted RPM Garage Door and Gate Service Inc. to request a quote. They (i.e. Mike) was very responsive and provided an estimate/proposal immediately. Once I accepted the proposal, they were able to schedule the repairs within an acceptable time frame. On the day of the service, Mike arrived according to schedule. I was contacted when the repairs were completed and Mike briefly explained to me what was done and commented on the overall "health" of our gate operating system. In addition, the repairs were completed within the time frame promised. Overall, my experience with RPM Garage Door and Gate Service Inc. was excellent. The office staff including Mike were very friendly and pleasant to work with. I would definitely recommend.

RPM came out the same day we called and made some adjustments to get the door working again. Very good at explaining the issues. We will definitle use RPM when we need to replace the garage door opener in the future.

Our back gate was not working...it opened and didn't automatically close, and then it stopped working totally. The box that held all the electronics was making a high pitched beeping sound which wouldn't stop. I called them and Mark was sent out that afternoon to diagnose the problem. He arrived promptly, calling me at his arrival. He called me again when he had found the problem. He thoroughly explained the malfunction as well as the solution. Neil called me the next morning with a quote for the repair, again explaining what they would do. He followed up with a written estimate by email. We accepted the quote, signed the PDF and emailed it back. We were immediately contacted and told that the repair would happen the next morning if that was convenient. Mark returned the next day, installed the new electronic control board, reprogrammed old remotes as well as bringing us several new remotes that we had requested. Great service, fast response, honest pricing and friendly. We are immensely satisfied with RPM. Couldn't ask for better.lf

He is friendly, and courteous. He is a good a match we are about 5miles away from us. Even though he didn't know anything about our company, he just gave us a bill. He as been very nice and trusting.

As the other reviews stated - company does great work. Neil came out and gave a quick thorough estimate and then had people avaialble the same day. Neil assesed the situation and he gave a good explanation of what needed to be done. He didn't try to sell me something I didn't need.

Repaired automated drive gate that others said had to be replaced. He tried very hard to walk me through fixing the gate operator over the phone so he would not have to charge me but I could not get it. Fixed it and charged much less than others would have charged for just trip charges.

I saw RPM on Angie's List and called them on a Friday. They have great reviews and are just down the street from the building needing the garage door service. They gave me a fast estimate over the phone in minutes. The service technician, Mike P. arrived on time on Monday. He was very courteous and knowledgeable and explained exactly what was needed. He replaced the vinyl weatherstrip door stop and checked, cleaned and lubricated the door and opener. I am very pleased with the work Mike did and with RPM's very reasonable charges. I will definitely call them for garage door service again!

They were punctual. There was problem with the locks that they installed. They came and looked at it. I would use them again in the future.

This is the second time we have used RPM and we have been very satisfied both times. Last time (Sept 2009) they came out and made some adjustments/serviced the system and did a great job and our garage door has worked flawlessly since then ($80.00 repair). After working with them before, we called them right away when one of our rollers broke. They came early the next morning, gave me a reasonable estimate and did an excellent job. I am very satisfied and would use them again.

The estimate was submitted quickly and the job completed two weeks after the estimate was approved. All persons where professional and the quality of work seems to be good.

RPM Garage Door & Gate Service was very responsive to my call. The overhead garage door cables had snapped - the door was off track and would not close. The very next day, Mike Platta arrived. He quickly diagnosed the problem and installed a new pair of torsion cables and an overhead spring. A perfect repair! All adjacent mechanisms were checked and determined to be in working order. Our problem was solved quickly and efficiently. Mr. Platta was knowledgeable, courteous and professional - I couldn't have asked for better service and a fair price. It went great. They were on time, did work in a timely manner. Plus, their estimate was lower than the other two companies we contacted. I would definitely call them again.

I contacted RPM on Monday, and someone came early Tuesday morning to give estimate. Worker returned early Wednesday morning to install new opener and fix gate, took about 2 hours. RPM was very responsive, quick and thorough. Workers arrived on time.

They were wonderful. They came out right away. They were great. The guy was very friendly and nice. He had all of the parts they needed to fix it right on the spot.

Neal and I worked for a long time to get a design that worked for me (looks) and for him (durability). I spoke with 3-4 other people and Neal seemed to REALLY know what he was doing. His aim is not to do the job, but to do it right and install something that stands up to our harsh weather. First he came to see what options I might have. Then we worked on the design. Then he installed. He will also provide service over time.

This firm's truck parked illegally, blocking a neighborhood alley while working. The driver refused to move. The city does issue cheap right-of-way use permits to firms who take the time to ask. A check with the City website shows NO Business License or Contractor's License in this firm's name. There are plenty of honest companies out there, please use only licensed & insured contractors and ask them to be considerate of your neighbors.

What a great experience! The springs on our old garage door broke off and flew right past my head on a Sunday afternoon. In addition to scaring the heck out of us, the garage door would not open, and the car was trapped inside. Frantic to get our car out, we called Neal on a Sunday afternoon. He not only answered the phone, he apologized for being booked that day! He said he could come out whenever we wanted on Monday. We asked for a 7:30 appt and he was right on time. I was very impressed. I had checked out his own web site and had seen he was running a summer special on a new garage door, installed for $699. He explained our options: We could keep the door, and just replace the track and hardware, or replace the whole thing. The garage door was in bad shape anyway. We had painted it the summer before to look a bit better, but it was peeling now, and rotting at the bottom panel. Neal told us to never paint a garage door, because the weight of the paint is hard on the hardware and it voids the garage door warranty. There was no pushy salesmanship at all. I mentioned the summer special and we decided that it was best to replace the door and hardware. We thought $699 was a very good price. Neal and his assistant were done before lunch and even replaced the light bulb on the motor, which was still in fine condition. There was no attempt to push a new motor on us. I appreciated his honesty about what really needed to be replaced.
