They were professional the entire time and were punctual. They provided us with a detailed list of what needed to be done along with pictures of the current condition of our roof a few days after they were at our house.

We had water damage on inside walls which turned out to be the acculumation of leaves around the chimney. He could have told us we needed a new roof and we probably wouldn't have known the difference.

they showed up on time, and were completed in a timely fashion. he showed me photos of areas of concern and had fixed a few that he was concerned about.

They quickly returned my initial called and scheduled an appointment quickly. The rep was very friendly and did a good job of explaining what needed to be fixed in the short and long-term. They also followed-up within a week to provide detailed estimates of long-term repairs.

Professional, thorough, but pricey

The gentlemen from Reid Roofing were timely and professional. I spoke with the lead rep and discussed my initial concerns about the roof, which included some water damage in a second floor closet. He listened carefully and when they were finished with the inspection/maintenance, the lead told me he found the source of the water damage. He provided photos from his phone, which were extremely helpful since I've never seen my roof up close and have no plans to do so. I requested a quote to repair as well as a quote for a completely new roof. Both quotes were emailed to me within days. The prices appear reasonable and I am planning to have Reid Roofing come back and do the repair work. If all goes well with the repair, next year, I plan to hire them for the new roof. Also to note: the gentlemen cleaned my gutters (which was not specifically listed as part of the package - a nice surprise!) and cleaned up any roofing/gutter debris from the ground. Impressive!

They were one hour late, and then spent 35 minutes on the roof. It took from September 19th to October 31st to do the job. I had to continue to call and email them to get the work done, and they kept changing the dates for when they were coming. I felt the price was way too high for what was done.

When I showed them the water coming down chimney they said that was an unusual amount. They inspected the entire roof and gave a detailed account where they could see prior repair and had inspected chimney and forund a crack in chimney cap - pictures were brought down. They said that prior repair work (by another vendor) was done correctly and showed me where I had to be careful to make sure a section was tarred and maintained under a window which would take a very expensive fix otherwise. They chiseled out the chimney cap gap and repaired professionally and brought down after repair pictures. Very impressed with two of them up on the roof and their straightforward and friendly mannerism. I will definitely schedule them in the future for a reinspection becase when you have a 100 year old house with additions put on by someone prior, you cannot take chances.

The workman arrived right on time and went right to work. This was an Angie's List Big Deal for a roof inspection with gutter cleaning and minor repairs included. The workman provided a detailed assessment of the roof and told us that, while old, it should still be okay for a year or two more. He was very professional and didn't try to "make work" for additional charges beyond what we paid for the Big Deal.

Overall it was an excellent experience. The estimate was precise and accurate. Pictures were taken so I could see the problems clearly. The issues were clearly explained. The work was done within a two week period and was done well. Scheduling could have been a little better with more responsiveness from the company. Overall, I was very happy with my experience with Reid roofing and would use them again.

Originally I called them out before buying the "big deal" on Angie's, because I wanted to discuss specifics before they went too far. They were apologetic but could not begin work before I had made payment, which is understandable and a mistake on my part. Kevin and coworker were very polite even though I had essentially cost them a trip out for nothing. They even setup their ladder to help me remove some cable wires I was working on, and caulked the holes for me without my even asking. It took some time to reschedule once I made payment because there was a mixup with my contact number. This is why I gave a "B" for punctuality, but honestly t is their busy season and the owner was extremely considerate about the mixup. I only had to wait 3 weeks before they could come back out, and as descibed above their work was far more than I'd expect for a general maintenance coupon. Everything about this company was professional and they take their work very seriously. Unlike other contractors they stand by their work and understand the best way to earn business is to do the job the right way and treat customers with courtesy and respect. I am very happy I hired Reid Roofing and hope to do business with them again.

Easy to schedule with them. They came two days after I purchased the Angies List coupon.

Used Angie's List "The Big Deal". Very proactive and performed job as described.

I was very pleased. They were very accommodating and the work was done well. The estimates for the work I want to do was also reasonable.

They couldn't start when they wanted to because it was so hot. But as soon as the weather broke they came and did a great job. They were very easy to work with and honored there estimate. I added shingles and they gave me a very good price to add the shingles. I would certianly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality roofer.

Kevin from Reid Roofing was responsive, punctual and professional. We did not use the company as their pricing was considerably higher than other companies we had contacted. I was also impressed with them for the following reason: We have some flat sections to our house besides the hip roof. We have had issues with the flat sections. Kevin inspected the flat sections and told me he honestly was not sure why we were having problems with the flat roofs as he thought they were properly installed and there was no obvious defects that he could find that should allow water to enter the home. I appreciated and admired his honesty. From past experience from other contractors, I feel most would just trash somebody else and tell me that they will jump in and fix the problem.

They came very quickly from when I contacted them and provided an estimate which was reasonable. The estimate can within a few days which unlike other places was super quick.

It went well. Reid was one of three contractors that I asked to bid on the job. One came in a bit higher, but the second bid over $11,000. This, I believe, was due to the impression that my insurance would pay for the job (They wouldn't). This job really illustrates why you should ALWAYS get multiple bids. It took some thinking to figure out what had happened. First, the garage door motor was removed. Supports were put in place to hold up the damaged structure. The beam that failed, which ran perpendicular to the garage door was removed. It was replaced by a beam tying the sloping roof rafters together. Horizontal rafters parallel to the garage door were either replaced or repaired with sister boards. And, the horizontal rafters parallel to the garage door were reinforced with short beams in between them. New overhead lights were re-installed, and the garage door motor was reinstalled. Reid believed that it was the continuing load applied by the motor that caused the beam to fail. So, they added extra support to the roof structure around the motor.

Kevin who did the estimate was very nice and explained exactly what my options were. He did not try to sell me on more work than we needed to fix the problem. We did get multiple estimates for the work. The team who did the work were very nice, prompt and left the worksite tidy. From the time of the quote to the work being complete was one week. I would use Reid Roofing again.

Great! The first time I hired them it was to put on a new rubber flat roof in the middle of winter. They td me "the first day without snow at a certain temperature we'll be there". They showed up at 730AM. They're justthe kind of contractors that this site is set up for.

Our condo association obtained three estimates from different roofing companies. Reid was the least expensive and also the least complex. I live on the third floor of our building, and a leak was obviously saturating the office wall in my unit. Reid gave us the option for a full re-roof (cover-over), as well as a simple patch job at the point of leakage. Because we probably have five years left on our roof, the condo association decided simply to patch and wait, rather than do a full re-roof. The rep's from Reid were all professional and prompt, both in person and by phone. Some years ago the association had gotten some work done by Reid, and that was also a good experience, which fueled our decision to go with them again. On the day of the patch work, the workman was prompt and punctual. The work was done in only about an hour, and the leakage was stopped effectively and lastingly. I would definitely work with Reid again, although in the case of a full re-roof, I would still obtain multiple estimates.
