I couldn't get anybody to come out, but Reid did come to handle it within a month. They came and did the work and so far everything is fine.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service and it was fine. They came out and did what they were supposed to do. I don’t know if I would use them again but it was fine.

He was very nice and informative. He fixed a couple small problems and showed me pictures of potential issues, but didn't try to sell them as must do. A couple days later he ollowed up with a price to do the repairs.

They did a really nice job. We had a really good experience. My husband said they were very professional and very good.

Great. They were efficient but thorough and did what I expected for the Big Deal price. I did get a quote for my garage which I thought was going to be over $10,000 to tear down brick, replace a flat roof and rebrick a falling wall and their quote was only $6400. VERY reasonable. I was impressed.

The provided us with a written report as to what they found in the condition of our roof. 1:21-1:26. They were good. They came out fast and were thorough. I thought the price was good because most people would not even go on your roof without 2:12-2:15. They were good with their responsiveness. 2:34-2:41.

I think I paid Reid Roofing Inc too much for what he did. He literally spent 20 minutes on my roof and that was it. It was good but I can't really give good recommendation for somebody who spent 20 minutes on my roof for the amount I paid for.

These guys were great, professional and thorough. They walked the roof and inspected it for damage and found a loose tile which they nailed down. They also explained that my flashing keeps flying off the fascia because it was not cut to fit properly when originally installed. Everything went well, however the final estimate of work to be done was delayed because they had problem with my email.

They did everything in an hour and had the never to charge me extra that I don't think I should have been charge for.

I started by telling the roofer that some flashing and small parts of the shake shingles had blown off over the winter, and that I suspected that the roof may need some extra repair that goes beyond the spring maintenance. He said he would take a look, but that he wouldn't walk on the wood shake shingles because they can't handle that. (That sounded reasonable.) Then he got a ladder and he and his assistant went up on the roof with no mention about the maintenance they would do as described on the coupon. (They didn't even bring a caulking gun with them.) The assistant came down, and said the house was nicely built and well maintained, and that the flashing was well caulked. The owner's son was up there for about 10 minutes and then came down with pictures of the various areas. In the meantime, his partner was measuring the house (making a map of the roof dimensions). The first guy showed me the pictures, said the roof was well maintained, and explained that he takes pictures of the worst areas. He then showed me pictures and showed/explained to me that the flashing that is folded over the peak is rusting (which he said is inevitible) and breaking in half (from water resting on the flat areas), and that makes it easy for the wind to get up there and blow the bits of flashing and surrounding pieces of shingles off. He said that underneath there is a layer of rubber (which explains why I am not having any problems inside). I asked how much it would cost to repair the peak area. He said he wouldn't recommend repairing, and that I should wait until I have a problem, and then replace the roof. (I realize it is rather "getting there" so that is a reasonable decision one might make.) He said that spending thousands of dollars on a repair, when I may see evidence of problems inside in the next number of years, would be silly. He said he would send me the pictures via email, and would send an estimate on a new roof. I was disappointed that he dismissed my request for a serious estimate on repairs, but didn't pursue it. However, I did ask for an estimate on both a shingle roof and a shake roof. He said he would get the estimates, and the pictures, to me in about five days. Then, he said to me that what he writes in his report to me (right there and then) wouldn't be what he just said to me, and what he wrote is that the roof needs to be replaced within two years. I was surprised - as my impression from what he said was that the roof would get along for quite awhile before needing replacement. I then asked if I owed him some money, and he said no, that I had already paid with Angie's coupon. I laughed and said I forgot. I wondered aloud if they submit the report and my signature to Angie's list and get some amount for the service minus a fee, and he said no, that they make no money on these coupons. I was surprised at that. Now, it is June 3rd, and I haven't heard a word from them. Overall, I am disillusioned about this whole process for the following reasons. (1) Why tell me one version verbally (to not do anything and wait until there are problems) and write something different (need a new roof within two years)? And why tell me that the two would be different? (2) Why not provide a serious estimate on repair when asked? I would really like all information to make decisions. (3) Why tell someone that you will have pictures and estimates to them via email in about five days, and then not do it (for weeks, so far). (4) Why aren't there any monetary incentive for providers to provide services when using coupons from Angie's? (I am assuming what he told me is correct.) Overall, I cannot really say anything about the quality of their work, since none was performed. They were very polite, professional and explained things well. However, I feel like I could have called any roofer and asked for an estimate and gotten the same information (assuming I eventually get an estimate) and service. I wonder what I spend $149 for.

Kevin from Reid Roofing was very detailed and receptive. First he walked around the house with me asking what my concerns were. Then, he inspected the whole roof and performed the following repairs: removed a bracket left over from a sattelite dish and replaced shingles that were under the bracket, replaced two shingle tabs that flew off with high winds, sealed a few gutter seams with caulk, and nailed down two shingles that raised. He reported that my roof was in good shape, and recommended a maintenance call every few years, watching for any damage in the meantime. He explained his findings in detail and answered all my questions. They were a little late, so I gave a B for punctuality. I bought the service at $149 via an Angie's List coupon which I thought was a good price (also a B rating). I would have given a C if I had to pay the full price. Overall, very happy with the service and would hire again and would recommend to others.

Andy examined the roof and showed me why I had the problems I had. Based on what I felt were the reasonableness of his estimate to do the work I told him I wouldn't bother shopping around for a better price. I asked him to provide me with a formal proposal that I could sign and return to Reid ASAP. Although it took a while longer than I'd hoped to receive that proposal because they were very busy, I finally received and signed it and am now waiting for the work to be done within the next couple of weeks. I was very happy with the experience and will hopefully use Reid for many years to come.

I purchased an Angie's List big deal for a roof inspection at a cost of $149.00. A representative called to schedule an appointment for the end of April. On the scheduled date, they called and said they were stuck on a job in Chicago and asked to re-schedule. We agreed to re-schedule for 5/8. They called the previous day to re-confirm. They called on the scheduled day and asked if they could come early and since I was home, I agreed. Kevin introduced himself and said he would give me a verbal and written report after making his inspection. I told him that we had found some water in our attic several months ago when we had a ceiling light fixture replaced, which was why I wanted the roof inspected. I showed him the area where this occurred. He came down and said that the roof appeared to be in excellent condition but there were some small repairs he would take care of as they were included in the price: flashing which needed re-nailing and a broken downspout bracket. He also took some pictures of the chimney liner and showed me where the concrete had cracked. He explained that they now use a more flexible material which resists cracking caused by temperature changes. He didn't think the liner was bad enough to need replacement now.

Kevin was very responsive. I had left a message to schedule the Spring Maintenance package and he called back quickly and scheduled us in a timely fashion. He was very professional. On our appointment day, we received a call that they were running behind schedule and our time had to be pushed back a couple hours. Once they arrived, they were professional, completed the inspection and some minor repairs, answered my husband's questions and addressed a few concerns regarding some issues we noticed after the recent heavy rainstorm. They were going to put together a quote for a few small items and e-mail it over to us. The quote for was e-mailed to me two weeks later.

I needed my roof inspected prior to the installation of sprayed insulation. This deal was perfectly timed and the inspection let me know I was clear to have the insulation installed. Reed's roofer was curteous and professional.

Not sure this was worth the value. Said gutters were fairly clean but not sure how as Ash tree drops tons of seeds and mortar from chimney removal had to be in there. Asked them to quote larger repairs and never received. Won't be contacting again.

Kevin Ratliff from Reid Roofing was thorough in his inspection and clear in his explanations. He took some excellent images which made understanding our roof problem simple and understandable. He was quick to praise the overall state of our roof and not at all alarmist or interested in urging us to do repairs that are not necessary. Reid Roofing will actually do our roof repair in a couple of weeks. We will also be using them in the future to take our chimney down. We highly recommend Kevin and Reid Roofing.

The appointment was scheduled promptly, and Kevin arrived at the agreed upon time. The inspection was very complete, and he cleaned out gutters and valleys and swept the roof clean of debris and pine needles. I will now hire them to tuckpoint the chimney where they found some damage, and I will call them as needed for gutter cleanings. I was very impressed with the care they took and with time they spent explaining everything to me. They even took pictures of areas on the roof so I could see the issues. This is a really wonderful company who I will definitely hire when a roof replacement is required.

Provider found several needed repairs. Estimate took longer than promised but was good. Workman was very professional and knowledgable.

My experience with Reid Roofing Inc. was fine. They were late to get the work done. I haven't had any problems since the repair service was done.

Left a message for them. They never responded. In the meantime used another roofer and was extremely happy with them! UPDATE: This roofer claims he has not record of my call and thinks my negative review is a plug for the roofer who actually did the work. WRONG! I called this company, they never responded. Was very happy with the guy who came who was a referral from a friend. Don't be fooled. If a business doesn't have time for you, you shouldn't have time for them. I've written other positive reviews for other people I've used from Angie's. If this roofer wants proof of my calling them and never receiving an answer, I'd be happy to provide it.
