It went pretty well. The inspection was good and they cleaned up a few other things as well. They were on time and, unlike some companies that run Deals, they did not come out looking for opportunities to upsell me or "fix" something that wasn't necessary, which I definitely appreciate.

I would recommend them to everyone. I have not been waking up sneezing any longer in the mornings. I have children, so it is important my air ducts are clean as the home is older and may have never had the ducts cleaned so thoroughly.

They were able to come out later in the week to clean/inspect the furnace. They came when they said they would, performed the job quickly and were nice about it.

Blew me off on the day I took off work to have this done. Showed up at 6 p.m. and I no longer had time for them to do the work. I had called toward the end of the day (no, they did not call me) to see if they were going to make it and they gave another inaccurate estimation of arrival time (even later than the earlier agreed upon block of time that I already had to wait). (I really did take off a day of work because I wanted it inspected before I switched it on and the weather was already quite cold.) Complained to me that they had come up through traffic from the south side of the city to do this --- one of the reasons I picked them is because they have an office about a mile from my home (trying to support my neighborhood vendors). Then when I called to reschedule and I insisted on the first appointment on Saturday, they said "it would be between --- and --- on Saturday". I told them I'd expect them at 9. He was on time (this day). I went to replace the filter a month later. He had mashed it in there so that it actually wasn't covering the airflow opening (gaping up a few inches on both sides). All in all, they inconvenienced me (cost me time/earnings) and were not professional in owning their faults and, given the inability to install a filter, leaves the work done as suspect. By the end, I had the feeling they felt put out by me rather than the other way around.

It was very easy to schedule the appointment. Reeder called with about an hour left in the appointment window to let me know that the their technician was going to be late. I indicated that it had to be done by a certain time or we would need to reschedule for another day. When he arrived, the technician indicated that he didn't finish his other job. Not sure if he went back after my service, but I appreciated the phone call and that the technician arrived before my cutoff window. The work was done quickly and professionally. Great customer service.

Brian arrived on time and explained what he was inspecting and what was needed to be done or not done. I was especially happy to hear the air conditioner only need a new fuse. I would use Reeder and Brian again

I used these guys twice in one week. I had called initially for a - what I thought - was a bad "igniter" on the furnace (blowing cool air when heat was requested). Tim came over tracked the issue down quickly and explained that the furnace's "Safety" had tripped due to no liner in chimney leading to improper exhausting allowing condensate to drain back through vent causing corrosion inside furnace. In other words, the initial installer (from another company) did not complete the high-efficiency furnace install to code - thus leading to the issue. Tim reset the furnace and explained the hazards of this condition and quoted me what the proper correction would cost. I did my usual bid checks - Reeder was in range - I was impressed with Tim's HVAC knowledge and willingness to share it - so I called and scheduled the appointment for the following week. That next Tuesday, Jim & Frank arrived within the stated time window, assessed the job and began working immediately. A few hours later, I inspected their work - which functioned perfectly AND was configured cleanly.. The work area was spotless - like they hadn't even been there. They were friendly & courteous and the final price fell within their quote. These guys are a "Definite Recommend". Thanks guys.

The gentleman arrived on time, and cleaned the furnace of my new house very well! He completed the job in great time, too. I had been told before I moved in my the home inspector that it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 5 years, which I sure made it a bad job. I would definitely use again!

My visit with Reeder Heating and Cooling Inc. was mediocre. The first person they sent out did not give me the correct quote. Then they sent some else out to start the work, they didn’t have a part that was needed, so then they scheduled another person, but that person didn’t come on time. Then they had to send another person out, because he did not know what was going on. They billed me for all 5 visits. I talked to the owner. He reduced the cost to just the services performed.

Gene was fantastic. He even came by the house before the install to meet with my architect to discuss where to place future ductwork. Talk about going above and beyond! They were flexible and friendly and the install crew knew exactly what they were doing, and were already familiar with how to handle the intricacies of this particular job. Gene and his office staff were also helpful in answering emails and sending the needed documents to file for our furnace rebate. Highly recommended!

The technician showed up on time, worked cleanly and efficiently, told me what he found at each location. Gene is the new owner of Reeder. I had worked with him several times when he worked for another company (I had new systems installed in several locations). His bid was always the best. He is a straight shooter and knows his stuff.

Gene is a very friendly guy, seemed to have a lot of experience and owns Reeder Heating and Cooling. He went through the whole house checking the condition of the furnace, AC, humidifier, duct work etc. Our house has always had hot and cold spots. Gene told me that this was because the duct work was never properly modified to deliver the proper air flow to each room when previous additions were made to the house. I already had been told by other companies before that the furnace needed to be replaced and it had a number of repairs in the past to keep limping along. This was the first time anyone diagnosed the duct work as being part of the problem. I decided to change the whole system ( furnace and AC) and have the modifications made and insulation added to the duct work. Three technicians showed as scheduled up to perform the work which took 1 1/2 days. The were well organized and friendly. They put down drop cloths to protect the rugs and hardwood floors. The work went smoothly was finished on time. I would have no problem recommending Gene and his crew to a friend.

My boiler failed in January coincidentally just in time for our last epic snowstorm of the season. I called Reeder and they managed to get a new unit out and installed in about 24 hours. Probably saved the rest of the house from extensive water damage due to freezing pipes etc. Overall positive experience.
