Description of Work: Jeremy was punctual, and did very good work. I must say, however , I found him to be more expensive than I had hoped.

Description of Work: I am not handy and simply wanted a medicine cabinet replaced in a second bathroom. After the company was solicited through Angie's list, someone from North Side Renovations contacted me and told me the job was too small for them and that I should use Yelp to find somebody to do the job. I was extremely disappointed after hearing such great things about Angie's List. The job has not been completed because I was so disgusted!!! W**!! BTW I'm not sure about the date. It was some time ago.

Description of Work: Made new hatchway/storm doors for the basement entrance, put up a new garage entrance door, painted steps in front and back. The quality of the work was excellent and the company was very easy to work with.

Description of Work: I needed new transformers for my kitchen lighting. I was down to the overhead light and one under cabinet light. Andre, the electrician, worked on the problem and found the solution. Everything is back to normal. I need another light fixed in a different room in my apartment, and I will be calling North Side Renovations to solve that problem as well.

Description of Work: I am a busy professional and when I schedule a meeting, I am on time and if I'm running late, I call to let the person know. It's common courtesy. Last week I scheduled an appointment for today with Jeremy at a time between 2pm and 3:30pm to look at a substantial project. When I scheduled the appointment, I asked him to stop by closer to 2pm as I had another appointment at 4pm. At 2:40pm I called his cell phone to have him call me on his estimated time of arrival. No response. 3pm no response. 4pm no response. 5pm no response. 6pm no response. Finally at 7:06pm he calls me to tell me he sometimes misses appointments. Are you kidding me! I told him I don't work with people that don't respect other people's time.

Description of Work: Bathroom remodel--removed old sink and vanity, mirror/medicine cabinet, light fixture and installed new. Repaired and re-painted walls, ceilings, baseboard. Installed new faucet and ceramic tile backsplash.

Description of Work: Jeremy is the only contractor I have ever dealt with who has respected my preference for email communication, which is very important to me. He was able to give me a quote using pictures of my space and new medicine cabinet and we arranged to have him install it the next week. He showed up exactly when he said he would, and performed above and beyond the service I expected. He was extremely cautious drilling into the wall in order to avoid accidentally hitting any pipes or electrical wires, noticed a potential grounding issue with the previously installed fixture, tested the fixture out to make sure there wasn't a problem, patched a fairly large hole the original developers had just covered with the mirror, and when he was unsure that the standard wall anchors would hold the heavy cabinet installed appropriate bracing top and bottom to ensure we wouldn't need to worry. Most importantly to me, anytime issues were encountered he stopped to tell me what they were so I wouldn't be caught unaware in the future.

Description of Work: I bought a remodeled condo which needed a number of repairs before it could be deemed 'tenant worthy". Jeremy, the owner of the company, did everything on the list. The kitchen had a hole in the wall where some plumbing had been repaired- he replaced the missing drywall seamlessly. He repaired a faucet which was leaking and totally replaced the bathroom faucet. He fixed a problem with my dryer and changed all the locks on the unit, making extra keys and sending them to me promptly. He even came to the unit to let in a prospective tenant because I didnt live in Chicago, had no property mgr. and needed to show the place. I know he did several more repairs at this address but they're not coming to me right now... all I know is that when I needed him over about a 10-day period, Jeremy was there for me. I really appreciated his hands-on, personal interest in my needs as an out-of-state landlord and don't know how I could have chosen a better contractor!

Description of Work: Quote on ceiling fan install (with no existing electrical): $1200Quote on painting outdoor vent cover (1 sq foot): $150 Did not hire this company due to exorbitant quotes. Rates work out to $200-$300 per hour. Fan install by another company wound up costing $600 and painting will take about 10 minutes to complete.

Description of Work: Jeremy completely remodeled the tenant bathroom in our two flat. We had a collapsed clay pipe under the bathroom and he worked with a plumber he recommended who was very good. Jeremy coordinated logistics with the plumber to get the job done with minimal delay, despite the fact that the scope of the project was greater than initially thought. The bathroom floor needed to be completely relaid and the bathtub supported by new sub floor. He pulled up the old floor, subfloor, resupported the floor with new joists, laid tile, installed plumbing fixtures and did some minor electrical work.

Description of Work: Jeremy performed a complete gut and finish of basement. Built a mini-kitchen and bathroom. Installed cabinetry, used subcontractors for drywall and electrical. Lots of construction and loads of remodeling. He did everything from building out a new stairwell to installing special vents behind the walls to avoid any basement mildew. Jeremy went beyond thorough to make sure our needs were met and anticipated items we hadn't even thought of.
