On moving day, the crew arrived early and fully prepared. The move went very smoothly, faster than the quoted time with nothing damaged, and actual cost was less than the quote! We highly recommend them.

The dates of our move changed, so I called them at the last minute, frantic, and they were able to put a team together very quickly. The team moved not only the contents of our condo but also picked up our items from a storage unit. They were polite, efficient, strong, and the cost was extremely fair. I highly recommend New City Movers. I hope we don't move for a long time, but if/when we do I'll definitely use them again.

Description of Work: I was completely blown away by the four man crew sent by New City. Not only did they show up on time they moved a three bedroom single family home to a THIRD FLOOR walkup in three hours and 45 minutes! The move was only five miles but that was still phenominal. Great guys, very nice demeanor and they did a stellar , damage free job in 90 degree heat. I would suggest anyone would be happy with New City. Even though they are based near downtown Chicago, they were right on time in Joliet. The price quoted was low compared to other companies and there were no tricks or hidden fees. As a former mover myself, these guys have my respect.

Description of Work: New City Movers moved us from a condo in the city to a single family home in Evanston. They arrive on time, were very careful with wrapping and moving delicate items, and were very efficient. You can purchase boxes or moving kits from their website and they will deliver the boxes for free (at least it was free delivery in the city). I have another shorter move coming up, and I will use them again!

They took care of everything, and the movers really did it right! My kids have both used them and also rave about their experience with New City. We won't use any one else in the future!

Description of Work: New City was FANTASTIC when I moved to my townhouse. The 3-man crew was able to knock out the load-out from my 1bed apartment in well under an hour, including the time needed to finish shrink wrapping, and the load-in at my new place only took around 2hrs, and that's with needing to navigate 3 floors! They're quick, efficient, and they do really take care of your stuff - highly recommend!

Description of Work: One word: impressive. New City Moving helped me move from the city to the suburbs. Before we scheduled, they had me fill out a thorough form, which let them make a good estimate of how long the move would take. In the end, they took less time than they predicted and came in UNDER their predicted price! They were also experienced and careful - we had some fragile and heavy furniture (for example, a top-heavy) marble table, and everything transported just fine. It helped that they wrapped everything like crazy. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.
