They were pretty good. I was happy with them. They were fast, efficient, and they didn’t break anything. They were nice and did everything they needed to do.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! I was very worried about broken things or dinged walls and furniture. Not a single thing was damaged or dinged, the team did an excellent and thorough job of wrapping and taping all our large items. They were very careful and metriculous in ensuring everything was handled well and delicately. The company also called to confirm, was very responsive and helped me obtain a parking restriction in front of the building on moving day to ensure the truck could park close to the building. (I did have to request this independently, but I highly recommend anyone on a busy street do so.) The team showed up on time (actually about 5 minutes early) and they did what I had anticipated as being a slow job extremely quickly - I had to get all my last minute packing wrapped up fast! They were extremely efficient, in and out and done, and everyone worked very hard and professionally.

New City did an excellent job of getting all of our stuff into it's proper place. Very professional, no drama or complaining about anything. They completely wrapped and protected all our furniture. I will use them again for certain. The office was very responsive in returning estimates and replying to our questions. They were also willing to put their estimate in writing, something which was difficult to get from other companties. They weren't the cheapest,from a per hour stimate perspective, but they also don't nickel and dime you for everything as others with lower estimates do, so I believe it all nets out. We actualy came in slightly under the estimate which we were pleased with. It was also great to have 4 guys at a slightly higher rate, but it allowed us to get done more quickly.

They did not come out to give me the quote; they did it over the phone. They were really nice; we just decided to use family to move. Otherwise, I was going to hire them.

The three guys were all very strong, professional, punctual and courteous. Definitely the best movers I've had and I've moved about 15 times over the past 18 years. No one complained or smelled of alcohol-believe it or not many movers I've hired in the past have! No one was hungover and all were speedy and eager to help. Speedy is important when you're paying by the hour. What was nice is that they were very careful in wrapping all furniture very carefully in blankets. I've had so many things damaged in past moves and I am fortunate to not have experienced any damages this time around. I hope this is my last move.

They were wonderful. They were fantastic. They were prompt and on time. Both moves they were early and waiting for us. They were incredibly professional and nothing was broken in either move. I would absolutely recommend them. They were recommended by my friends. I called them and they recommended the storage facility. We actually used them again from another storage locker.

We liked everything about them; they were great. We had no problems and there was nothing that we disliked about them.

Excellent experience! These movers were professional, polite, skilled, knowledgeable, and fast! They called to see if they could come early (yes!!) and arrived motivated (and it was their second job of the day). We ended up moving just ahead of a really bad storm. As soon as we found out about the impending rain, they put it in high gear (when they were already moving efficiently) to get out things in with only minutes to spare. We really cannot say enough about this moving company. The entire process was efficient and easy. On top of that everyone was polite and enjoyable to work with. We highly recommend New City Movers.

The online process for setting up appointments was very easy and efficient, and they did a great job with the move. They did crack an entertainment cabinet, but we decided to overlook the issue since it wasn't a valuable piece of furniture.

Originally we were going to move everything ourselves. We were in a bit of a time crunch and I researched many moving companies. Everything I read about New City sounded great, so I decided to give them a try. This crew made everything so much easier for us and definitely less painful. New City called the day before to confirm the move date and approximate time. The driver called us the day of and let us know where they were and how long it would take for them to get to us so we were ready. They were very proficient and professional. We showed them what needed to be moved from each room and then they got started. They took great care wrapping everything and getting it out onto the truck. We had a crib that also needed to be moved and they said that they couldn't be liable for putting it back together. No problem. When it was time for them to take the crib apart, they showed my brother all the screws they were taking apart and where it should be put back. Just as quick as they were to pack things up at the old house, they were just as quick moving everything into the new home. We just had to show them where everything needed to go and then they were back to it. Moving the furniture and putting everything back together. They moved everything fairly quickly and thus came under budget. We will definitely use them and recommend them to others who are moving.

Everything went well. The three movers were on time, professional, and made the move go smoothly. Furthermore, they came in under estimate and did a professional job. There was a puncture in one item, but it was a very minor issue.

It was easy to work with New City Moving. They were efficient, took care to avoid damaging our furniture, and they did a good job overall.

They arrived on time and worked quickly. However, they were rough with our furniture and several pieces got dents and scratches from the move. I am updating this review two months after our move to reflect New City's responsiveness and willingness to fix all of the furniture that was dented and scratched, including, most important of all, an antique dresser that had a drawer that wasn't functioning smoothly since the move. Brian at New City was highly professional and sent someone to do repairs on two occasions to our home. The repair person was thorough, responsive and professional, and restored things to our satisfaction.

The crew was about 90 minutes late due to an earlier job taking longer than expected, but they worked fast and into the night to get our move done on the same day. The movers were friendly and took great care of our belongings.

All and all an easy move. They showed up on time and did what they said they would do.

Setting up the appt was great. The woman I spoke to in sales was very professional and helpful. The movers were great. They were also very professional. They moved quickly and were very courteous. My main issue was the day of the move I had trouble getting a better estimate of when the team would be arriving. They gave a large time window when I set up the call and I was told they would have a better estimate on the day of the move. I called several times for updates and was not given any additional information. This made the day much more difficult for us. The team ended up not being able to make it until just after the window we were originally given. I really thought the team they sent did a great job, though. In the future I would use this moving company but would want to schedule as the first appointment. I would not have minded being the later appt if they could have been more helpful with giving us an estimate of when the movers would arrive.

New city was terrific! Immediate appointment, then quick estimate. They were extremely flexible with our move date and put everyone at ease with their professionalism. We were only billed for their actual time so came in under estimate. Will recommend to anyone needing a Chicago mover!

This is the second time we've used New City Moving and another great experience. Their quote was not the least expensive that we received, but we've learned from experience that there are no extra expenses, no surprises. Our move actually came in under estimate. (Tip: consider providing your own tape and packing materials for the guys to use, moving companies overcharge quite a bit for that stuff!) Everyone was very pleasant and professional from the scheduler on the phone, to the estimator, who gave us some great packing advice, to the movers themselves. The movers work really hard and so fast it's hard to believe. I hope to not move again soon, but if I did it's be with this company.

New City Moving was great. The only glitch was they had a truck malfunction and didn't notify me of this, so they arrived about an hour late. However, that didn't turn out to be a big deal at all. All packing was done exceptionally well - Nothing broke at all during the move. All large items were wrapped and taken care of. The move came in well below their estimate and the crew I had simply busted their butt from start to finish. The movers had 4 flights of stairs to move things up without an elevator and while most moving crews would complain, these guys seemed to relish in the challenge. The movers themselves were courteous and hard working. The move as I said was professional from estimation all the way until they drove away. There are a lot of bad moving companies out there - This one is a gem. I'd hire them without hesitation in the future and I can't recommend them strongly enough.

They were quick, had great prices, and it was easy to schedule. Furthermore, they were prompt, reliable, and professional. They were fantastic, and I just can't say enough good things about them.
