They were careful. I had no issues with them like I have had with other movers. They always carried things with multiple people when they should have. They were very nice and pleasant.

The guys were great, very punctual, very professional and took great care of our things. I would always use New City again. In addition, their use of technology in the process of signing up for service makes things a breeze.

They arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently. Our china that they packed was not damaged at all. No damage to property found at this time (have not unpacked everything). They estimated 8-9 hours, and the 4-man crew was finished in 7 hours.

Needed living room and dining room moved to make room for construction in my condo. Highly recommend Maurice and Juan.

These guys were very professional and efficient. Maurice and his helper had it all loaded quickly. $225 is a two hour minimum charge and well worth it!

The crew was timely, responsive and very skilled at navigating large pieces of furniture in a tight space. They were great! I would definitely use them again.

No complaints whatsoever. Office staff, estimator and especially the movers were friendly, prompt, and courteous. Most of all, they took care of property and the goods being moved as if they were their own. I had a small piece of laminate on a bookshelf that I hadn't been able to find as I needed to reattach it. I found it in the box of items from the bookcase carefully packed and completely in tact. I was thoroughly impressed. It isn't often that a business can live up to all of the good reviews posted here and on other review sites. This is one of the business that can and I recommend them without reservation.

New City Moving was very responsive from the moment I contacted them asking for a quote to move approximately 8-10 large items of furniture.All of our communication was conducted via email and I never had to wait long for a response to any of my questions. After I needed to add a couple more items to those being moved, the estimate remained the same, which was nice. On the day of the move, the team of 3 movers arrived early and got right to work. They were very professional (as well as friendly) and efficient. Everything was well wrapped and padded. At the new place, they quickly got everything in to the rooms as I directed, and even offered some excellent suggestions on placement when I was uncertain. I was pleased to note, as everything was unwrapped, that there was absolutely no damage. The guys also cleaned up all of their packing and wrapping materials very thoroughly before leaving. They were able to get the move done in 30 minutes less than the estimated time, which resulted in a final bill lower than estimated. My experience with New City Movers was wonderful and, while I hope not to need moving services again (!), I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a mover.

New City Moving did a great job moving our offices and I highly recommend their services.

They moved us from our 2-bed/2-bath condo into our new home. They were very friendly and punctual. The only reason I marked a B on quality is because during the move, one of the movers nicked the corner of a wall that had just been painted. He wasn't carrying anything heavy (because I saw what he was carrying). He didn't apologize for it and unfortunately, it is at eye-level. Really, I would give an A- for quality, but that wasn't an option. Otherwise, they were able to move us in an hour less than predicted (I think it took about 5 hours). The moving team consisted of 3 men who were nice and hard-working. Regarding responsiveness, I called the company a few days later because there was a jacket missing from our closet and I thought that maybe it had gotten left in the wardrobe box. I called the company and spoke with someone who said she would check on it and have someone call me back. No one called me back. Regardless, I would still recommend them to others. Thanks.

Moved all my furniture including two large and have chinal cabinets, buffet, couch, three dressers and disassembled and assembled my bed. They also packed my kitchen and two closets. You do need to be very specific with what you want packed and labelled and perhaps hold some items that you want to find readily with you or tell them to label in a more specific manner. For example, all my kitchen items say "K' on the boxes, but it would be helpful to have "K" with another label like plates, pots, knives & forks etc. so you know where to start. They do however wrap everything very delicately and with a lot of packing which is great. This was the first time I had someonel help pack and it was worth every penny.

They were fast, experienced and very friendly. I really appreciated the effort they made not to get the floors/carpet dirty and not ding up the walls. They also helped pack up last minute things and did it efficiently and well. I highly recommend them.

We had previously used New City to move my business into it's new location. We were happy with their professionalism and their willingness to help us at the last minute. (Another company had shown up late for the move and then refused to move our equipment. ) I liked them so much that I used them for the move of our home. We did run into a few issues with our mattress not fitting up the stairs, however they were helpful and gave us some options. (We ended up hoisting it up through the window, which would've been a liability for the company. My husband had a blast :)

New City Moving is great. They were ahead of schedule, fast, professional, friendly, and they didn't break anything. They forgot a few things but rectified the problem very quickly when I pointed it out. They also charge a lot for packing materials, but that's a small issue. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Worth every penny! We had them pack our things as well as move them, and not one item was lost or broken except something my husband dropped when he was unpacking. They actually ended up ahead of schedule and took a lunch break while we finished getting into the new house so they could unload. Friendly team leader and hardworking guys--they moved my couch twice when I couldn't decide where to place it, and gave one of their packing blankets to our dog to use as a bed while they moved furniture around her.

This is the third time I have used New City Moving and I would use them again (even though I never want to have to move again). Overall this move went well. It was a hard job, moving lots and lots of heavy things up and down from the third floor. I think maybe the crew could have used a fourth person, but the three guys worked SO hard, and it was grueling work. They did a great job. One small thing - a side table was broken during the move. It was fixable and they offered to do it for free, however I found it somewhat bothersome that I had to contact them in order to get the table back. I think that since it was their error, they should take the lead and coordinate with me. Regardless of this, the table was fixed and returned to me no charge. I would use recommend New City and I would use them again myself.

very efficient and friendly. The overall experience is superb. They take very good care of the furnitures and the job is finished half an hour earlier than expected.

The guys were running late (that's why I gave a B for punctuality) but they called before they were late just to give us the heads up, so the communication was great! My wife had many, many, many more boxes packed than what I had originally quoted for in the phone call, but when the crew got there they were unfazed and happily took everything we pointed to that needed to go. Maurice and the other guys were amazing! They carried more boxes at one time than I thought physically possible. It seemed like in the blink of an eye the rooms were empty and the truck was loaded. They were even quicker with the unload at our new place and they were so conscientious that we got all of our move-in security deposit back because there was not a scratch of damage anywhere. We had an issue with one of the movers, which was frustrating. I got a call from the owner later that day, who fixed the issue, beyond my expectations. I truly appreciate the attention to detail. I was beyond impressed by an owner who stands by his company so strongly and provided such amazing customer service. I give New City Moving my highest regards and would absolutely recommend them.

Polished marketing materials and website made getting in contact with New City and getting a quote easy. The representative who did our estimate arrived 1 hour earlier than planned, in the middle of our morning routine to get our kids ready for school. Though not the most convenient timing, he made quick work. I promptly received a professional and clear estimate that evening via email and a follow-up phone call, but the price and fees were higher compared to other companies. The follow-up caller did not seem interested in any negotiation on price so we ended up getting the same, top-notch services from another A+ Angie's list provider for about $400 less. Maybe they underpromise and overdeliver but I felt like I would have been paying more for the nice branding with similar service.

The fellas helped us moved last year and this year. They came early, about three hours early. It was a good thing that they came early. I had to reschedule a few times on my part. They were very accommodating. Other than a few broken dishes and a broken bowl. I was satisfied with their services. I will not use their services again because I will not move again!!
