Great. They took off the hassle of moving.

I have used this company twice before and they were wonderful. Not this time. Never again. They did some packing the day before the move. They worked fast. They were courteous. And they inexplicably lost all kinds of things. I had an upholstered chair and ottoman that had been in my family for many year. The chair made it. Not the ottoman. I asked them to take a bbq that is too big for my current space to someone else at another location. They did that. They also delivered outdoor chairs, a table and some small sculptures to the other location. Also missing: a brand new lamp shade, the entire supply of cleaning products under the sink, the kitchen floor mat, the dog's leashes. It's as though entire boxes never made it onto - or off of the truck. I spoke to Jessie, who is in charge of customer service who promised to find the missing items. She told me a crew was coming to search my storage space to see if they put the missing stuff in there. They did not show up on the day they were scheduled and were then re-scheduled a week later. Needless to say they did not find any of the missing items and Jessie has not gotten make to me to even try to make good. "Update. Finally, after reading the review on Angie's LIst, the company contacted me to see how they could handle the problem with lost items. Ultimately they offered me $100 for everything that was lost, conditional on my signing a legal form in which I effectively gave up all rights to pursue the missing items. I declined. Very disappointing. Very poor customer service."

Service was great, company made sure to call us to follow up after obtaining our estimate. We don't have complaints about the movers themselves. Overall, we were happy with the service.

These guys are amazing. I've used them for 4 moves in the past 5 years. I've had a different crew each time, but each crew has been extremely efficient and respectful. I have a lot of Ikea furniture made out of cheap particle board rather than solid wood, and these items have survived all of my moves basically unscathed, even though New City makes no guarantees about particle board furniture being delivered intact. They seem to handle everything with care. Scheduling and getting an estimate are a breeze, and my moves have consistently cost less than the quote. I recommend New City to everyone who wants to make their moving experience as hassle-free as possible.

I normally don't enjoy writing reviews, but I figured I would make an exception for New City Moving because of how accommodating they were to my move. I had to plan my move in less than 24 hours, which I thought would be unbelievably stressful. But thanks to New City Moving, I could not have asked for a better experience! Sean Hearns worked with me through mutliple calls to coordinate a last minute move between two buildings with tight freight elevator schedules. Sean employed some very creative thinking to eventually schedule a move for me that worked like clockwork. The movers came in and completed everything with 2.5 hours. Of course professional movers are bit pricier than what you can find elsewhere, but the professionalism completely justifies the price. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to move in the Chicagoland area. Well done guys!

The moving process was stress-free with this company. The dedicated representative helps you before your move. The moving crew helps package everything to avoid damage. You just have to sit back and relax. I thought it was very reasonable for the care they take and their timeliness.

They came on time, with all necessary gear, efficiently completed waivers, and started! Astoundingly fast and professional. With multiple stops, many stairs, and awkward sized items, these guys were on it. It was clear that customer satisfaction is their #1 priority.

This was the 3rd time I've used New City Moving. They are professional, efficient, thorough, and always go above and beyond (helping me put my bed together was so helpful)! They came in under the estimate, which was very well appreciated.

Overall, the move went well. The movers were professional and efficient and the time estimate provided was accurate. There were a couple small items left at my apartment that I had to move myself later (supports for a mirror, one bolt from the dining room table, a lamp), but everything else made it in one piece. The movers even tried to get my giant bookshelf to the second floor (I later had to disassemble it and move it up piecemeal).

Good good I think were quiet good they didn't want to listen to me about, they moved my stuff into storage two of them just wouldn't listen to me they had to have large moving room carpet rug and you never roll big rugs like that pile sided so I wasn't happy about that but other than that I beg them to be careful with the china but they kept going they worked fast and I think they were careful.

They did an excellent job. We used them before there and they were terrific.

It went very well, on budget and on time. The moving crew was polite and helpful. Definitely will use again when its time to move back the furniture.

It was a wonderful experience! They were very thorough with their communication throughout the process, they arrived promptly and worked quickly, and they were pleasant and professional. Moving is never fun, but they made the process as painless as it could possibly be! Would definitely use them again for my next move.

It went very well. The team was very efficient, and only had a little trouble trying to get our boxspring to fit up the stairs - but the foreman was able to make it work. Overall, the company lived up to their Angie's list reviews.

It went great. Staff was helpful in organizing the move but the team that arrived at my house was just great. They solved every issue quickly saving me time and money! They removed doors, and out things back together again. Super team!!!!

It went great. The crew that we had from New City Moving was very efficient. It took much less time than I thought it would and they were excellent to work with. They went the extra mile to try to move furniture into and around places that were a tight fit. I was very pleased with their professionalism and attitudes. I would highly recommend them.

Everything went extremely well. The crew moved several very heavy items as well as dozens of boxes, both heavy and light. We are extremely pleased with their service and recommend them highly.

Tito and the four other guys on his crew were fantastic. They arrived on time, were extremely respectful of our home and our belongings, moved fast and were just generally a pleasure to work with. We can been provided an estimate of 8.5 hours, and came in under that by a half hour, despite having complicated matters at the last minute by adding in a trip to Goodwill. I would absolutely recommend the company to friends or family - the estimate, confirmation and billing process was at all times highly professional. Just top notch service, and I commend Tito's crew for a job well done. Don't think we had a single broken item, and the furniture looked good as well.

Kyle was friendly and persistent without being annoying in setting up the on-site consult. (I needed that since I have a hard time returning calls with two children demanding my attention.) Important to note... the onsite consult, Nick, was spot on for both packing and moving time as well as friendly, and knowledgeable. Rhonda and her packing crew of 7 were fantastic. Efficient, friendly, not shy about asking how I wanted things done if they weren't sure, and dedicated to packing the best way possible. Helio and his moving crew of 5 were amazing. Fast, professional, and so courteous, even when I realized a wanted that chair on a different level afterall AND even when it started raining in the 8th hour of the 10 hour move during which they managed to continue the move without messing up the house at all. (I had requested floor covers initially which of course helped, but they also switched up their process so only a couple of guys hauled in the rain to the house, while the rest stayed dry and moved things from the door to where they belonged - so smart!) NOTHING broken, no walls damaged, and the beds were set up prior to departing. . They accept credit cards so I was able to get reward points for this TOTALLY WORTHWHILE expenditure. They used every packing material I purchased prior to bringing in their own, which only cost $350. So impressed! You will NOT regret using New City Moving.

This is our second time using New City Movers, and it was a wonderful experience both times. They are very responsive from the start to the finish. Booking is easy and a lot is done through email, and they respond to emails very quickly. The move was scheduled for 2:30-4:30, but we called to see if they could come earlier since we only had the elevator until 5. They checked into it, and sure enough they were able to come early in the afternoon and took only 1-1/2 hours to move everything. The guys were great, very friendly and careful. The only reason I gave a B on pricing was because the move was completed in 1-1/2 hours, so we paid for a 1/2 hour we didn't need. However, I knew they require a minimum of 2 hours, which I understand. I received an email a couple of days after the move to see how everything went and making sure we were satisfied. We would definitely use New City Movers again, and would absolutely recommend them to others! GREAT COMPANY, GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT MOVERS!!!

They did an AMAZING job! They were professional and very pleasant and customer service oriented. They worked very hard, fast, efficiently, and didn't damage any walls moving out and into new home (that was just freshly painted)!! They didn't take a break, just focused on the task and got us out and into our new home in 4 hours! AMAZING! I would definitely recommend them and will use them for my next move!!
