Description of Work: Nevernest came out and live trapped an opossum for us and left another trap for a week in case there were any others (no more at that time). We called them back in January to trap another one. As of 3/18/13 we haven't seen any more but if necessary We will call Nevernest back.

Description of Work: Our small condo association has a roosting pigeon problem so we called Tony at Nevernest as I believe he has done work for us before. It took him two days to return my call and we set up an appointment for Saturday, 9/24 for around noon. He called the day before to confirm which was great. On Saturday morning Tony called me again to let me know he might not be able to do the job if it was raining as the company has a worker's comp policy prohibiting this. I totally understood though it wasn't raining at the time but in any case he would call me back at 11 to confirm. He also stated that they might come out on Sunday, no extra charge, to perform the work. Tony never called back, never showed and I left him a voice message which has yet to be returned three days later. I have found another exterminating service on Angie's list and we will not use this company again. The lack of professional courtesy is appalling, especially given the difficult economic times you would think they would be happy to get the business.

+ -1 moreIt took longer than promised for them to come out, but they were very prompt and professional when they came in. I thought it might be very expensive given other reports on this site, but I found the price to be fairly reasonable.
Description of Work: We had an animal trapped in an interior wall. Nevernest came out, identified the problem as a trapped bird, and determined that it came in through an uncapped vent on the side of the house. The technician cut a hole in our wall to free the trapped bird. He also removed the bodies of three birds that had died in the same space. He then cleaned the vent chute of the nest and put a cap on it so that the birds couldn't get back in.

Caught and removed two squirrels, and after three days wait to ensure that all animals were gone, had the hole under my roof patched. Was very polite and friendly. Company releases all trapped wildlife in distant forest preserve. If need arises will definitely use again

+ -1 moreThe initial visit seemed fine - I would check the traps and call him. After 48 hours and no animals had been trapped, I called - he said he would come around 2:00 to reset and move them. Then he called at 5:30 to say he was having a hard time 'getting out of the office'. He said would come the next day. He never showed up. No call, no show for the following 2 days after that. I called again, got Bryan at 9am. He seemed surprised that I was irritated, apologized, said 'Robert was supposed to have done the job'. He said he would definitely come to my home at noon. At 4:00, I was angry. I put the traps on my front step with a note saying take your traps and that I didn't want to do business with them anymore. He showed up around 4:15 and took the traps. I took 4 days from work to get this done and got absolutely no satisfaction. It was strange - he seemed polite and responsible the initial visit then he gave me terrible customer service.
Description of Work: I needed a professional to remove whatever animal was living in the roof soffit. Called Nevernest, Bryan came out that afternoon. He said we had squirrels that were entering from the roof in the front of the house. He put 2 traps on the balcony in the back of the house. Said to call and he would remove the trapped animals or move the traps if it didn't work. I never saw him again. Basically I paid 200.00 for him to come stand in my front yard for 5 minutes, stand in my back yard for 5 minutes, put 2 traps on my balcony, then never complete the job. When I talked to him on the phone (when he was supposed to come for the second time) I asked if he could put them on the roof where he was sure they were getting in. His reply was that he would have to bring a buddy and it would cost me more for him to get on the roof. It is a small, one story house. I didn't think that was right - to continually charge me. Moot point, he never showed up. IF the work was done, the price would have been OK.

Description of Work: Squirrels had infested my apt walls through a hole in the wall. Nevernest came by, assessed the situation, and left live traps for them. The squirrels were caught within a day, and the traps were retrieved. The agent also helped seal the hole such that no more squirrels could enter.

WE COULD HAVE JUST CLOSED THE HOLE WITHOUT PAYING TO TRAP THEM- IT DIDN'T GET RID OF ALL OF THEM ANYWAY. I WISH THEY WOULD HAVE JUST RECOMMENDED THAT WE DO THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

+ -1 moreTHE COMPANY REPRESENTATIVES CAME OUT THE SAME DAY I CALLED AND FIXED THE PROBLEM IN ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF. THE REPS WERE FRIENDLY AND KNEW IMMEDIATELY WHAT TO DO. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.
Description of Work: WE HEARD NOISES IN THE FIREPLACE CHIMNEY AND THOUGHT AN ANIMAL WAS TRAPPED. NEVERNEST CAME OUT AND CONFIRMED THAT AN ANIMAL HAD DIED IN THE CHIMNEY SOMEWHERE. THEY SUSPECTED A SQUIRREL AND WENT ON THE ROOF BUT COULD NOT LOCATE IT TO REMOVE IT. INSTEAD THEY SPRAYED A CHEMICAL TO ENCAPSULATE THE ANIMAL AND STOP THE ODOR AND PREVENT FLIES, ETC. FROM ACCESSING THE DEAD ANIMAL. THEY SPRAYED DOWN THE CHIMNEY AND UP INSIDE THE FIREPLACE, AND LEFT SOME OF THE CHEMICAL IF THE PROBLEM DIDN'T GO AWAY. ALSO INSTALLED SCREEN ON CHIMNEY.

THEY WERE ADEPT AT USING TALL LADDERS AND HARNESSES TO REMOVE NESTS AND MAKE REPAIRS IN HARD-TO-REACH PLACES THAT WERE TWO, THREE, AND FOUR STORIES ABOVE THE GROUND. THE BIRD GUARDS, SPIKES, AND SCREENING THAT THEY INSTALLED ARE UNOBTRUSIVE AS WELL AS EFFECTIVE. BRIAN AND ROBERT WERE CAREFUL NOT TO TRAP ANIMALS IN THE CHIMNEYS BEFORE SCREENING. BY STUFFING THE CHIMNEYS WITH NEWSPAPER THE DAY BEFORE, THEY WERE ABLE TO SEE IF A RACCOON WAS GOING IN AND OUT OVERNIGHT. FURTHERMORE, THEY PLACED TRAPS IN THE SHADE AND CHECKED THEM IN THE MORNINGS SO AS NOT TO LEAVE A RACCOON OUT IN THE HEAT. THE COMPANY HAS A POLICY OF RELEASING THE RACCOONS THAT THEY TRAP IN A FOREST PRESERVE FAR ENOUGH AWAY TO PREVENT THEIR RETURN. NO MORE PIGEON DROPPINGS, BLOCKED VENTS, COMPROMISED CORNICES, BEE STINGS, AND LATE-NIGHT RACCOON ENCOUNTERS!
Description of Work: REMOVED MULTIPLE BEE AND WASP NESTS AT TWO PROPERTIES, AND TREATED WITH WASP FREEZE TO PREVENT INSECTS FROM RETURNING. REMOVED BIRDS' NESTS FROM VENTS, AND SCREENED VENTS WITH BIRD GUARD. REMOVED BIRDS' NESTS ON TWO PROPERTIES, AND SEALED UP HOLES WHERE BIRDS WERE NESTING. THEY CAME BACK (AT NO CHARGE) TO REBAIT THE TRAPS. AFTER THREE DAYS, MY ANIMAL PROBLEM WAS GONE AND THE HOLE THAT THEY'D USED TO GET INTO MY PORCH SEALED UP. THROUGHOUT THE EXPERIENCE, BRIAN (WHO PERFORMED THE WORK) WAS VERY COMMUNICATIVE AND EXTREMELY HELPFUL. I HOPE I NEVER NEED THIS SERVICE AGAIN, BUT IF I DO, I'LL CERTAINLY CALL THIS COMPANY.

A FEW DAYS LATER I CALLED TO SCHEDULE A TIME FOR THE WORK TO BE PERFORMED. SINCE THE CREW WAS IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD ON ANOTHER JOB, THEY WERE ABLE TO COME OUT THE SAME DAY, AND FINISHED EVERYTHING WITHIN 30 MINUTES. THE GUYS WERE PROFESSIONAL AND EFFICIENT.
Description of Work: GUTTER SPIKES (20 FT) AND BIRD REPELLENT (BIRD GEL) WAS INSTALLED AROUND THE LEDGE OF MY ROOF. A TWO-MAN CREW CAME OUT AND USED AN EXTENSION LADDER TO ACCESS THE ROOF OF MY TWO-STORY BUILDING.

ALSO, IT SEEMS I WAS PAYING TO CATCH SQUIRRELS GOING INTO MY UPSTAIRS NEIGHBORS PLACE, TOO, ALTHOUGH SUPPOSE THAT'S BETWEEN ME AND HIM. HE SAID HE HIRED NEVERNEST, TOO, BUT THEY SAID HE DID NOT. IT TOOK QUITE A LONG TIME TO DECLARE THE JOB OVER AND HAVE THE VENT PATCHED UP, AND THIS HAPPENED ONCE THE WEATHER GOT REALLY COLD.

ALTHOUGH, I RECOMMEND GETTING AN ITEMIZED ESTIMATE DETAILING WHAT THEY WILL BE DOING AND WHAT EXACT MATERIALS THEY WILL BE INSTALLING TO CONFIRM YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU'RE GETTING. THEY WERE POLITE AND COURTEOUS. MY ONLY PROBLEM WAS THEY DID NOT SUPPLY THE CLEANING MATERIALS. I HAD TO GIVE THEM THE SOAP AND PAPER TOWELS FOR THEM TO DO THE CLEANING. WHICH I LEARNED WHEN THEY WERE ONSITE. OVERALL THEY DID A GOOD JOB.
