Mr Duct Chicagoland

I couldn't be happier with the service Mr. Duct's team provided. It was a pleasent experience from the start. When I called a lady answered the phone and took a lot of time explaining what each package provided and the exact cost (with the discount) before making the appointment. After the choices, I decided to go with the middle package "Premier" to fit my needs and age of my home. I was able to book an appointment for the following Tuesday and received a reminder call on Monday that Mr. Duct was coming the next day between 10am - 12pm on Tuesday. On Tuesday morning they called me 30 mins prior to arrival and ensured me that they were on their way. Well, two gentlemen entered my home and expalined what they were going to do and toured my home to locate all the vents and returns. One of the men had a camera that showed how dirty they were and after they cleaned all the vents he would show me again on the camera how they looked. My gosh, they were so dirty that I took my own pictures (which I have included) within this report to show my husband "who has severe alergies" as to what it looked like prior/after they were here. I must admit, since they cleaned our ducts about a week ago my husband has completely stopped having issues with his alergies and hardly blows his nose anymore! We can totally tell the differance this has made and will call Mr. Duct every year to clean our ducts. For such a minimal cost of less then $250 it could help your families health such as mine. I would highly recommend this being done and my neighbor across the street has already taken my suggestion and hired Mr. Duct to clean her ducts a few days ago and she also has a young sone (age 7) with similar health issues as my husband does. In closing, I must also say that the two men that come into my home were so well mannered and respectfuly to both myslef and my home I would highly recommend this outstanding company for both their service and professionalism. Great Job and we'll see you next year! You have a customer for life!

The technician(Mario)was prompt and polite. As a new customer, I did not realize he had to cut an opening in the furnace ducting to attach the vacuum. I was able to call the folks that maintain my furnace to make sure this sounded like standard procedure and didn't seem problematic(the hole was covered and taped at completion of job). The other thing to be aware is the compressor(?)that runs the big vacuum is very loud, and as it was out on the driveway I am glad my neighbors weren't home at the time. At one point, Mario asked if it was okay to remove a vent cover where the screws had been painted over, as it might pull some paint away when the cover came off. I appreciated his attention to this detail. The job took under 2 hours. There was a little bit of fuzz/dust in a few areas around the vents, but no stains and everything put back in place. Overall, this was a good experience.

Overall, our experience was negative. The company gave us a price to do the work and then when they got to the house try to tell us they underestimated. They eventually honored their price, but the work was sub-standard and not what we expected

SERVICE TECHNICIAN WAS ON TIME. WHEN HE ARRIVED I ASKED IF WE NEEDED TO MOVE FURNITURE (OUR BED) AWAY FROM DUCTS AND TECHNICIAN INDICATED WE DID NOT. HE REMOVED VENTS RIPPING PAINT/PLASTER FROM WALL - WE DO HAVE AN OLDER HOUSE, BUT WE WERE NOT WARNED THAT VENTS WOULD NOT FIT BACK ON WALL PROPERLY AFTER THIS PROCEDURE. THE TECHNICIAN BROKE OUR BASEMENT WINDOW. LEFT GLASS IN DRIVEWAY. TECHNICIAN CALLED OFFICE TO REPORT AND OFFICE INDICATED "JUST TAKE $10 OFF THE PRICE." DEBRIS FROM VENTS(DUST, DIRT, PAPER) WAS FOUND IN BLANKETS ON BED, FLOOR AND CARPET. PAPER DEBRIS WAS (APPRX. 7 INCHES) WAS PULLED FROM VENT AND DISCARDED IN CLOSET. WOOD BLOCKS FROM VENTS WERE FOUND DISCARDED BY VENTS, NOT PUT BACK OR GIVEN TO US TO REPLACE. COUPON AD IN PAPER INDICATED THAT VIDEO OF VENTS WOULD BE SHOWN - NEVER PROVIDED. WE CALLED TO REPORT INCIDENT AND WERE TOLD WE WOULD BE CALLED BACK. NEVER CALLED BACK. THEY HAVE 100% GUARANTEE. I 100% GUARANTEE WE WILL NEVER CALL MR. DUCT AGAIN.
