Description of Work: My experience with Mr. Carpet was nothing but phenomenal. From the initial phone conversation with Mary to meeting with Bob for the selection...it was just fantastic. I live in a duplex loft downtown Chicago and was saddled with the decision to either do hardwoods or replacing my preexisting carpeting on the first floor. WELL...I definitely made the right decision in the carpeting (it's freezing here in Chicago Winter months!!). Plus my loft is about 1750sqft! So I make the call to Mary the BEST customer service EVER. She sends over Bob about a week later. Next thing I know Carlos and company (the ABSOLUTE best) are installing this amazingly beautiful carpeting on my lower level. They were extremely professional and unbelievably quiet. All of the existing heavy furniture was magically replaced onto the new carpeting as if they were never there. Everything was vacuumed and clean before they left. A quality crew they were. I looked in amazement at my new space...I actually felt as if I had moved..it was so beautifully done. It was also a process that was way easier than I originally thought as I had heavy furniture everywhere! Do not hesitate to contact Mr. Carpet for your needs...nothing but quality from the get go. I found them on Angie's List and searched reviews and Angie's List was right...ABSOLUTELY. VERY VERY IMPRESSED. Thanks to Mr. Carpet and Angie's!

Description of Work: We purchased carpet for 2 smallish bedrooms. Service, quality and responsiveness were all great. Carpet seemed somewhat pricey, though.

Description of Work: The quality, price and service all were excellent. Mike, the owner, was responsive and full of good ideas. His installers were efficient, neat, and left our home spotlessly clean. We checked out several other companies before we settled on Mr. Carpet, and we couldn't be more pleased with our choice.

Description of Work: Great experience, no high pressure tactics like Luna. Ordered on Thursday night, installed a week later on Friday. Installers did a great job. I am very happy with the price and quality of work.

Description of Work: Mr. Carpet came to our newly purchased condo and provided many samples for us to choose from. This was outstanding as we could see what samples would work best in our new home. The installers came on time, were efficient, and the carpet is perfect. We couldn't ask for anything more. They were wonderful.

Description of Work: Michael Lamendella brought Mr. Carpet Shop at Home samples to the house and was very helpful in selecting these which fit the setting where the carpeting would be used. The order was placed and the carpeting arrived in a timely manner. The two workers who installed the carpeting were careful, neat, and did a great job.

Description of Work: They came out several times with samples and were very responsive and professional. I never felt like they were trying to rip me off (like other national companies that advertise heavily). Installers were on time and professional - job done right.

Description of Work: To acclimate the wood it was delivered the week before the scheduled work. The workers arrived promptly at 7:30 am and worked until 4:30 pm for two and a half days (the target was 3 days). The removed and disposed of the old carpet and laid the new wood floors. The were careful, they cleaned up after themselves and were courteous.

Description of Work: Mr. Carpet (Mike) brought samples to my home. I wasn't sure any of them would work. I had a sample from a friend that I wanted to have installed but they did not offer it. They called me the next day and Sarah brought over a brand new sample they had just gotten from a representative. I liked it better than the sample I had my heart set on. They installed the carpet beautifully. The workmen were very professional and knew what they were doing. I am very satisfied with Mr. Carpet. I had shopped around and I am convinced I got the best price and service. Mr. Carpet really cares about their clients and work with you to make sure you are completely satisfied. Mike, Mary and Sarah are the three people who helped me and I am very happy I decided to do my business with Mr. Carpet. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family!

Description of Work: We are repeat customers, as we were extremely happy with the carpet and installation approximately 3 years ago. We had a small play room area to get carpeted. Michael came out to give an estimate and was very pleasant and informative, providing suggestions, confirmations. He scheduled the carpet to be installed in one week's time. The window provided by the company for the arrival time for the installation was between 9am and 12 noon. The workers came earlier, as this was their first job of the day and were done with carpet installation within 1 hour. They were all very polite and their work was professional. Even though it was a snowy day, they were clean and respectful of our floors.

Description of Work: Put in new laminated (vinyl?) floor in kitchen. Moved all furniture, including desk, table, chairs, refrig., etc.

Description of Work: Mike promptly provided an estimate, and the wood floors were installed on time and look terrific! The wood was installed on an angle, according to my request, stained and three coats of varnish were applied. They were flexible enough to hold off on the third coat until the following week to allow a painter to work in the unit over the weekend. There were some challenges with communicating with the installers (I hadn't moved into the condo so there wasn't a land line set up), but, Mary, the office manager, kept checking in to make sure that the delivery, preparation, etc., was taking place to meet my expectations. Everything turned out well and done on time.

Description of Work: Mike did both hardwood floors and carpets for us, as we were gearing up to sell our home. He came promptly, provided valuable insight on carpet choices, versus floor refinishing, picked terrific carpet for the downstairs and did a beautiful job restoring floors to their original victorian luster. He even refinished the living room on his own dime. I can't say enough good things about the quality, price and service.

Description of Work: We had a runner installed on the front stairs. Mr. Carpet helped us select a runner and had many to choose from. It took awhile to come but once it was made installation was quick.
