I joined Angie list when another service did not respond in a timely fashion. Once they did call, no message was ever left. Once I informed Angie what I needed, I was provided with a list of Movers throughout Chicago land. I located Moore Movers. I e-mailed my request after 9:00PM. By 9:00 the next morning they called to acknowledge my request. A day later they provided an estimate and Moore Movers professionally, and carefully moved my piano. I am absolutely pleased with the excellent service. I highly recommend without reservation.

I looked up Moore Furniture and Piano Movers on line to get an estimate because in my previous move in 1999 I had used the Moore Moving company for a similar move and had been very pleased. When I found the company on line (easily recognized by its green trucks) I called and the phone was answered very professionally by the receptionist who took my name and phone number and said that one of the men would be calling me back to discuss the details of the move. Not more than 2 minutes later I got a call from Mr. Moore himself, whose voice I immediately recognized, and he asked me if I had previously used Moore Furniture Moving Co because he recognized my last name. I told him that indeed he had and that he must have a very good memory, as it was way back in 1999. I told him it was a very hot day in August and that he and his sons had moved us. He said he was with his sons on a cross-country moving job in Texas as we spoke. In fact, he could not take down the information because he was in the truck, but asked me if I would call back on Monday, which I plan to do. The move we are making is more than a month away, so we have some flexibility and feel relieved that we can return to a company that makes us feel like they care about us and our personal things like family. Will complete a full report in August, after the move!

Everything was great from start to finish. Cannot remember how we came to contact Mr. Moore's company, since we did not know about Angie's list then, but he and his 2 sons moved us on what was the hottest day of that summer, and were able to complete the entire move in less than 5 hours, which at that time cost us $450 and we gave them a tip of $50 for a total of $500. No broken furniture, no fuss, no mess, pure professionalism.

From his prompt response to my initial call, the estimated cost of services, their punctuality, their attentiveness to details, carrying their own tools for any unforseen events by the person requesting the move, all the way thru the last stop of the professional movers that provided this service. . Three of the four people were remarkably hard working. The fourth one was pretty useless and even his peers' kind of looked scans at him. He was looking for the lighter boxes. They were supposed to be there between 8o'clock and 9o'clock and two of the cars were there at 8o'clcocl and had a third of my belongings out at the side walk ready for the truck which showed up at 9o'clock. It took a little longer than anybody had expected because almost all the stuff must have been taken on the truck. Other than that everything went really well. Nothing was broken, nothing is missing and I would use them again. The guys were polite and as I said three of the four worked really hard. They were more expensive than some others from whom I got quotes. But they were not pushy. They were referred by a friend who is actually in the moving business and said that when she moves this company would move her. A number of companies that I contacted through another web site, actually I just posted requests for general quotation. I immediately got calls from a whole lot desperate companies who were saying things like whatever anybody charges you they would charge me less. It is peak of moving season in Chicago and that is snags of desperation and nobody I talked to about that said is reasonable. So I would go with someone who came recommended. I will use them the next time I move. Price wise they were little higher but nothing was damaged, nothing was broken, nothing was missing and I say that having used other movers in the past.

They were pleasant, hard working, and very efficient. They kept to the predicted time frame. Everything was wrapped in blankets and moved without a loss of any kind.

Joe was very responsive and gave us a quote right away. We could only find one other mover willing to move a piano out of state, and their price was higher. They picked up the piano within the 2 hour window, after calling to confirm an exact time. They dropped off the piano in Indianapolis the next day and were punctual again. The pianos are taken to a central location and then loaded onto other trucks for delivery. So the piano was picked up on a semi, but then delivered on a small trailer. At first I was worried, but the piano seems fine. They were very careful not to damage the house or the piano. They even put the coasters I bought to protect the floor and waiting while I vacuumed the inside of the piano before they put the panel back on. They made sure I was happy with the location of the piano and the move before they took my check. They spent about an hour at the house. The price included insurance for $50.
