First time: From flooded locker to apartment. ($200) Second time: From apartment to dry locker. ($300) Both moves went smoothly. (Price went up as time passed.)

The move went smoothly, quickly and perfectly. Despite all the stairs the guys never missed a beat and we finished ahead of the scheduled time. Joe and his team were early and ready to go. When I moved again in 2013 I called Moore Movers and they moved me again, with professionalism and speed. I've referred them to friends and family and everyone that has used them has been pleased. I will use them for all future moves.

It went beautifully, and they were very professional. They made it seem so effortless. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

They did an excellent job! They were on time (early) and worked quickly. They paid special attention to the piano to make sure it wasn't damaged at all. There was a small snafu with one of the ceramic pieces of a coffee table but they had it repaired and delivered to my house.

The painting weighed over 100 pounds, and they helped to coordinate the move and get the painting from the gallery to my home. They packed it carefully, and paid attention to detail. They're exceptional. Mr. Moore and his team did an excellent job. I will definitely use them again. You're in good hands with this company.

It was a good service. Everything was fine. There were no problems. The work turned out good. The interaction done over the phone was also good.

They were very professional. They arrived on time. Everything was packed, wrapped and covered carefully. Great price.

They arrived on time and took a careful inventor of all items; boxes, furniture, etc. The things we had left for them to pack were carefully wrapped and boxed. Boxes were loaded first and furniture last so that the furniture came out first. They communicated with me while on route and arrived as planned. They worked 12 hours straight with two very short breaks. Nothing was lost and nothing was damaged. Amount due was same as quoted. They put together the bed, bookcases, tables and anything else that had been taken apart for shipping purposes. Everything was cleaned up at the end. And despite the long hard day they had just put in, they insisted on a final walk through to make sure there wasn't something more that we wanted done.

Highly recommended. Professional and top notch from the first phone call to the finished move. Joe Moore Sr, was pleasant, patient and reassuring with every call and question I made. His estimate was right on target. He thoroughly explained how his crew would handle the delicate furniture and breakables. The three man crew arrived on time. Joe Jr, and quot;Zand quot;, and Anthony worked efficiently and carefully from start to finish. Joe Jr made certain that each piece was wrapped with a blanket and shrink wrapped. At my home they protected the wood floors with runners. For protection to the second floor, the stairway wrought iron bannister was covered. They anticipated every need and their follow through was flawless. This move was the most pleasant I've experienced. Mainly because Moore's Movers have the experience and expertise to do the move RIGHT. I will absolutely use them, again, for a piano during an upcoming floor refinish.

It went well and smooth. I was concerned about how they were going to manuver the couch through the narrow hallway but they seem to know exactly what to do.

From the first call I experienced nothing but top-notch customer service. The are excellent! People from whose homes both items originally located were highly impressed with the movers, (two gentlemen), who showed up to pick up the pieces. They commented on how polite, professional, organized, neat and careful they were with wrapping and moving items out of their homes. I was called when they were headed towards my house for delivery, and they were extremely careful about covering hard wood floors and padding door entrances. They asked where each item was to be placed and meticulously worked together to re-install shelves and other pieces initially removed and packaged separately. I highly recommend them. Also, last but not least, initial estimate given did not change once job was completed.

The owner's son (Joe Jr.) called the day prior to confirm the time of their arrival. The crew showed up early, but did not ring the doorbell until the scheduled time. Highly friendly and efficient staff that didn't stop working from the minute they started. A lot of care was taken by Joe Jr. to wrap individual items with both moving blankets and shrink wrap prior to other crew members moving the items and placing them into the POD. This was an overall very positive experience and I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone in the area that is in need of moving services. You can immediately tell that you're dealing with great people who are running a family business with a great deal of pride. They have upfront pricing with no gimmicks and both Joe Sr. and Jr. are very courteous and friendly. It's nice to see that there are still people like the Moores out there doing business.

Moore's is a family business, and their pride in all aspects of the move were evident. They wrapped everything to prevent damage. The men were professional and personable. The estimate was spot on. I will be using them again, and I would not hesitate to recommend them. Based on the reviews here (and a few other places), I was expecting them to be very good, but they absolutely exceeded my expectations.

They were very professional, and considerate. They did a great job wrapping and packing, they did everything they said they were going to do and got the job done in a timely manner.

We're a small Catholic school on the North side. On the day we needed the piano moved, I forgot that we were having an all-school mass in the very area where the piano was to be moved. The altar that is set up was only 20 feet away from the stairwell that was needed to make the move. Any kind of noise or distraction would have been a serious no-no. I explained to Joe and his three associates the dilemma and they said they could still do it! At first I did not want to believe them, but when I saw how carefully they wrapped the piano, and how deliberate they were with all the steps of the way, I knew we were in good hands. The mass went on with no one even knowing that a piano had been moved! It was like magic. I'm sure Joe and his guys were not loving me standing by and giving them the thumbs up/down on the best times to move, but since I was the person respnsible, I feared I would lose my job if something went wrong. It all came off without a hitch. The mass ended in 40 minutes, and Joe and his crew could take it the rest of the way without the extreme burden of the need for complete silence. If you would have told me they would have been able to pull it off beforehand, I'd say I'd have to doubt it. What they did was was amazing. I'd love to hire them again. I hope they'd accept the job, but i was not the most low maintenance

The movers were very professional and courteous. They moved everything quickly and were done in less than 1 hour. They asked if there was any thing else I wanted moved, since they had 2 more hours remaining, and the company charges 3 hour minimum moving fee.

After using this company in the past, I was determined to use them again. I have a glass coffee table that is cracked. On the first move they moved it with no additional damages. On the current move, they were successful on moving the table again. In addition to the table, I had a lot of glass items. Needless to say they all arrived in tact. This move was to another state, and it was complete in a timely manner. The price I was quoted was the final price. They set up all the furniture and put it in its proper place. Mr. Moore and his crew are the best in the business. If I ever have to move again, I will call Moore's Furniture and Piano Movers.

I can not stress how pleased and impressed I am with Moore's Movers; let me count the ways: 1. Extremely pleasant answering service. 2. My calls were returned within minutes. 3. After collecting multiple estimates, theirs was the lowest. 4. On the day of delivery they called to let me know they were on the way. 5. They called again because they were running late, but arrived just ten minutes late. 6. They had clean professional uniforms. 7. They laid blankets and ramps to protect my floors, stairs, and the piano. 8. They were very friendly and personable. 9. They didn't wake my sleeping baby. 10. They did the job quickly and efficiently. 11. And something that really knocked my socks off...I saw them pull up in front of my house and two of the three men stepped out of the truck. They had their backs to me, so they didn't know I saw this. There was a piece of plastic near one of the gentleman's feet and the other pointed it out. The gentleman then picked the garbage up and placed it in his pocket. This might not seem significant to some people, but it really stood out to me. He respected my property enough to pick up a piece of garbage that was on it, and he was humble enough to place it in his pocket. They were so outstanding, my aunt (who they picked the piano up from) called me as soon as they left to tell me how great they were and how she will refer them to others. I will use these men again and I'm going to refer them to everyone.

It went well. They were amazing. They were very efficient and thorough. They also were very polite and professional.

They were very professional and methodical in moving the furniture without any damage. Everything was covered and they were extremley efficient.

This was my second joyful experience doing business with Moore's Furniture and Piano Movers in Chicago,IL. The first move occured in October,2010. They called me about a half an hour before the move to let me know that they were in transit to meet me at the storage facility to move my belongings and per their usual they were on time,personable and ready to work.My storage unit had several large containers ,art and bedroom suite,which they managed to have loaded on the truck in less than thirty minutes.They wrapped my furnishings to protect against damage and soiling just as they had done in my original move the year before.They noticed that some of my belongings had been damaged in my storage unit and immediately brought the situation to my attention which allowed me to alert the storag facility manager ,who took pictures and immediately initiated my claim with the insurance company. We proceeded to my apartment complex where they efficiently moved in my belongings and even set up my bed for me . I would be remiss if I didn't also mention that on my first move with Moore's Furniture and Piano Movers they were about half an hour early for my move but called ahead and informed me that they would be willing to wait for the scheduled time .Although I had a lot of big pieces and appliances that needed moving , on a Monday morning,and three different locations to drop items off(storage,and gifting items I no longer needed due to downsizing) they exclaimed that this would be an easy job.Well,this was a piece of cake for all of us because i didn't have to go to the other two addresses and they called me and gave me adequate time so that we met up at the storage facility.They suggested ways of setting up my belongings in the unit so that if I needed to find something I could easily move around in it,and when everything was said and done they informed me that I hadn't used all of my time and they mailed me a refund for over $100.00 that I received about two weeks later.Just a few of the reasons I chose to use them againin a year later and will always keep them programmed amongst my favorites phone list.

I called at 8am to their answering machine and received a called back within 2 minutes. I knew I was pushing my luck to find someone to move the piano the day that I called, but I needed to return the rental truck. To my luck, Joe told me that they were moving someone very close to me and would see if they could fit it in. Joe and another mover came over less than four hours after calling them. Unfortunately it was raining, but they took a lot of safety precautions to ensure their safety as well as the pianos. Joe was quite the professional and knew exactly what he was doing, including making sure that my floors were well protected from any current or future scratching from the piano. I am so glad that I called him, because their is no way my husband I and could have done it without them.

The experience has been good so far. They were very responsive and courteous and gave me a fair quote. I am definitely considering using them.

I called Moore's Movers after seeing their high rating on this web site. I must say that I was not disappointed! I called on Thursday and asked for a Saturday service date. Mr. Moore was able to send the crew on the day specified. They arrived promptly at the arranged time! The young men were courteous and introduced themselves with a smile and a handshake. I like that! The men took the time to access what needed to be done and then took great care to wrap all the items and carry them gingerly to the basement. They moved my spinet piano and two large appliances to the basement as well as some unwanted items to the alley in less than two hours. I was extremely pleased with the service I received and will certainly call on them again!

Joe was not present for most of the actual move - he showed up for the piano, though. We had 3 movers - Joe's sons and a third guy. All three arrived on time and got started immediately. I wasn't quite ready, but they were very professional and patiently worked around me. They padded all the furniture thoroughly, at my request, and carefully packed/crated various items. They moved the piano down a flight of stairs with great care and organization. They really knew what they were doing and worked together very well. I have had movers before that slowed down during the day, but these guys worked steadily until the whole truck was packed, then ate and took a break on the way to the storage unit, where they immediately started working steadily again. They aren't the cheapest movers, but I really got my money's worth. I am unable to use them again for the cross-country move because my company is paying, and I am sad about it. The Moores have set a standard for quality that I'm afraid will be hard to match with another mover.
