Estimator Cook Rodriguez was prompt, very professional, and also friendly. The quote for the work arrived quickly. The crew that did the installation worked quickly, cleaned up after themselves, and did high-quality work. Prior to sending the quote the owner called me to discuss some details, which I appreciated. This company's quote was higher than another one I got, but Cook and the owner were more professional than the representative of the other firm, so I chose Meyer.

Everything was done to my complete satisfaction.

They came for a quote. They were very knowledgeable but NOT the least expensive. I went with them for their knowledge and experience to avoid surprises. The quality of work was excellent and they were professional and responsive. The cost was significantly above their estimate (about 50% higher). I was very disappointed about that the increased wasn't communicated to me until after the project was completed. I found them to be honest and straight forward. I don't believe there was any bad intention.

Claudia and Cook (the electrician) were phenomenal. I would recommend Meyer Electric to anyone any time. I called mid-morning to request an estimate for re-wiring, and when I explained that I was hoping to get the estimate that same day, Claudia said she'd do what she could to get someone there near end of day. She called back a couple of times with status updates, and Cook showed up around 4:30. I told him 2 other companies had told me the only solution was to re-wire, and he laughed. He said my problem was absolutely solvable, and within 1 hour he had fixed the problem. He seemed genuinely excited about his work, stayed late (5:30) to do it, and seemed incredibly knowledgeable.

The initial visit to install light switches inside went well. The work was done properly and there was no need to clean up after the work was done. The primary electrician Cook, was helpful, respectful and prompt. When I hired the company a second time to install the outside motion detector, I was dissatisfied with the explanations that were given, the initial products that were installed and the service that I received from the office and the manager Mr. Meyer, in particular. I understood that a second product would be installed to address my concerns with the range of the motion detector. The weather was bad which delayed the electrician from coming back to install the new fixtures. The office later explained that the lights I had were the best on the market. However, Mr. Meyer's response was confrontational and rude, to say the least. He inquired regarding the unpaid bill. I tried to explain the delay in payment and he continued to lecture me, unaware of the circumstances.

MEC did an excellent job, as always. Claudia scheduled an appointment for a few days after I called; the electrician arrived promptly at 8:30 am. He had all needed tools and supplies; no need to leave and retrieve anything. What I asked what he planned to do he explained clearly; I was available so he asked if I had locations in mind for the new receptacles. MEC's people are all highly skilled. You just look at the way they bend and lay conduit, and you know they know what they're doing. They cleaned up and swept the floor when he'd finished (and this was in the GARAGE mind you). And there have been no problems since then.

First, I called and spoke to Claudia several weeks before we needed the job done. I explained that we would be in town for only 2 full days to help my daughter get this work done. She arranged to have Cook, the project manager, come the night we arrived in Chicago to give us an estimate. At the same time, Claudia held space on their schedule so the project could be completed while we were in town. The next day, Cook and another electrician arrived on time, were very professional, and got the job done efficiently and properly. Cook clearly knew exactly what needed to be done and he made sure the job was done right. We were very happy with his work as well as Claudia's help in getting the job done in the time frame we needed.

It took a while but they were persistent and Claudia was fabulous to deal with. Even the owner got on the phone to explain part of the situation.

When we first called Meyer, we were just looking for panel covers as the rehabbers who converted our building to condos left the job unfinished and poorly done. They ordered new covers, but it turns out that the boxes we had were outdated and the covers didn't fit. So, they came by to do an estimate of what it would cost to replace all of the panels. The electrician came out and gave us an estimate to fix the poor work and to give us new panels. They were fast and professional, and came to do the work quickly. Talking to Claudia on the phone is very pleasant!

The guys did a great job. On time, polite, and helpful. Job was difficult because there was an obstruction. Trying from one side got stuck, so they went to the other side and kept trying. The obstruction turned out to be a dead rat! In the end, they succeeded in fixing the problem. I'm very satisfied with their work. Turned out to be a bit expensive, but well worth it.

They were totally trustworthy, conscientious, and professional. They were polite, clean, and experts. We felt confident having Meyer Electric in the house and also totally confident that they left their work area safe overnight. We're thrilled with the overall job. The price is fine for the quality of work and professionalism of the electricians. In this case, you get what you pay for!

They said it should be 2-3 hours to fix the ceiling fan and install one brand new ceiling fan. One of the lowest prices, but that isn't why I'm considering them, she treated me with respect.

This is the second time Cook has come to my unit and performed work. He is proffesional and experienced. He discussed with me the wiring, even pointing out how the rehabbers made mistakes and cut corners when they converted my building over long before I bought it. Quality Work.

While they did not do the work, I did feel that $900 was a lot for installing 3 can lights (potentially 4) and a ceiling fan, but they wanted to have two men on the job which did make sense.

Our experience with Meyer's electrician Cook was wonderful. He was right on time, extremely friendly, and obviously knowledgeable. He quickly took care of the loose wire for us and did an unscheduled estimate of installing some can lights in our family room. He also walked around the house with my husband and gave him advice/direction on some additional lighting fixture installation that we are planning on doing ourselves. Claudia is also very friendly, and punctual about returning calls and getting you what you need. Overall a great experience!

They were very professional, polite, & prompt. They completed the work in a timely fashion & were very neat. They also had no problem obtaining a permit, which is mandatory in the city of Chicago. However, their prices are extremely high. They're quote was more than twice as much as 2 others but I hired them anyway because no one else was professional enough to complete the job. They are very expensive, but they are also very professional.

WORKER WAS ALWAYS ON TIME, WORE DUST TOTES, CLEANED UP ANY MESS THEY MADE, AND ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS. THEY PROVIDED ME WITH A SEALED LICENSED DOCUMENT TO SHOW ALL WORK PERFORMED WAS DONE TO CHICAGO BUILDING. THEY ALSO GAVE ME A PRINT OUT OF MY CIRCUITS FOR BREAKER BOX. I AM USING THEM COME THIS SPRING.
