I called Chris and he was able to come out and give me an estimate the same day. He gave me an estimate of $200 and scheduled to come out early the following week to do the repairs. He got here right on time and got to work. After a few hours he came out and told me that a tile had gotten cracked when trying to clean off the adhesive (a fairly standard thing because it takes a good amount of force to do it). So at that point he went to get a replacement tile and the grout for the tiles. Apparently he had trouble finding an exact match and actually ran around town to multiple places to find the right tile/grout to match. Keep in mind this was right as big snow storm was getting started. The final result looks perfect. Final price ended up being $230 because of some extra supply costs, but the work he did looks great and he even patched up a couple problem spots in the grout and sealing around the window that I hadn't noticed or mentioned. So looks like his repairs should last a good long while. Probably going to have him come back and do a few other odds and ends around my place.

Asked Chris to remove a water heater and furnace in order to repair some drywall we thought might have been damaged by a flood. Chris and his partner diligently showed up on time, identify potential issues with the project, he and I arrived at a compromised work around, and he completed the revised job assignment on time.

Chris was very accommodating with my and lsquo;rolling list'. He works efficiently and kept everything clean/tidy. He's very consistent, dependable, conscientious and trustworthy. Chris also brings a fresh sense of style with him and ndash; he came up with some ideas/options that turned out great. His work is high quality - he did an excellent job and I will definitely hire him again with future projects.

He is very professional and easy to work with. He performed his tasks in a timely manner and he is very well priced.

Make sure you have a detailed plan on what exactly you need / want upfront. And let him know upfront if you need anything crimped afterward.

They were on time, friendly and professional. However, two items they repaired in November are now problematic (September) - the front door is sagging again and they screwed a light fixture so tightly that it is impossible to access the burnt out light bulb so I now may have to replace the entire light again (not with them though). they also left trash/material debris on the side of the house when the trash can was just 40 feet away. Not impressed at all and will not use them again.

The price was fine.

Chris is professional, organized and responsive. Just what I'm looking for to manage the repairs that arise with an 80 year old building. After meeting him and having him perform some initial repairs, I think I've found the right person to work with on an ongoing basis.

Well. The cabinet wasn't put in correctly which presented some challenges. Chris was able to free-up the cabinet without damaging it.

Chris did a great work installing the vents. He also responded to our concerns about the vents and winter weather and found some vents for us that open and closely automatically, depending on the weather. I intend to hire him again for other work. He's very affordable and it's hard to find that combination, good work at a good price.

We wanted Chris to install lattice work under our porch, but also told him to keep an eye out for any problems. We have an old porch and want to keep it alive for a while longer. Chris found that the structural repair work that we had just gotten done was incomplete (rotten rim joist) and also somewhat shoddy (my words, not his). Chris redid the work. It looks absolutely solid and professional, unlike the previous repair done by the professional porch builders (we're going to follow up with them). The difference between Chris and the porch builders is that Chris knows how to repair things and the porch builders know how to tear things down and build something completely new. So if you have an old house as we do, you might find Chris to be very useful. Chris then did the work that we originally brought him in to do -- replace some floor boards and install some lattice on the front and side of the porch and along the steps. In the words of my neighbor, who is an engineer and handy himself, it's clean work. The lattice in particular looks great to me and I'm very happy with it. Chris does a careful and thorough job and he's open to answering questions and explaining his work. We had Chris do another job for us previously. He made one mistake. He owned up to it and made good on it. I had no qualms about giving him this job and it worked out quite well. Chris's hourly rate is reasonable. I've had experience with one of the "handyman" companies in Chicago and they're rather pricey.

I contacted Chris regarding getting an estimate on repairing an exterior door. I was not sure if there was something wrong with the casing or the hinge, but the door was off the top hinge and very difficult to open and close. Chris arrived promptly for our appointment, looked at the screws that had popped out of the hinge and identified the problem. He said that he could fix the door "right now". The problem was that the hinge screws were too short. Grabbing his drill and 3 long screws, he drilled deeper holes and reattached the hinge. Not only did he quickly resolve the problem, but he did it for free!! Thanks, Chris!

Chris came out the same day we called him to do an estimate of the work. We set an appointment for the following weekend. We were to pick up supplies and Chris called mid-week to find out if we had any questions, and to see if he needed to bring supplies as well. Chris also called the day before to confirm our appointment. He called the morning of the appointment to say he was on his way. He was punctual, polite and honest in his work. He cleaned up every work area before moving on to the next which I greatly appreciated. His fee was appropriate to the job. We will definately call Chris for future projects.

We had a list of several jobs and Mr. Mastroianni was meticulous, easy to work with and did a great job on all the items. The molding and reframing of our large pocket door entry was done with crown molding that matched the fireplace molding at his suggestion. We are planning to have him do several other carpentry jobs because the result was so beautiful. He was very creative in solving the problems we had.
