My one concern is that the worker caulked beneath the fascia board which I know is not good practice as water and vapor needs to be able to escape. This means I will have to go up on the ladder and pull this caulk off. That is a bit of a disappointment and is why I can't give a straight "A" to Master Handymen.
Description of Work: I had a rotted fascia board under my gutter. They replaced the fascia and caulked the chimney area to prevent further rot from occurring.

On 11/12/14 I accessed their website, filled in my address information and gave details about our building downspout that needs to be refitted to the gutter and strapped to the porch upright support. After sending the message a pop up box indicated someone would be back in touch with me. Hearing nothing back I resend the information 2 days later on 11/14/14 and asked that they respond even if they don't want to do the job. I received the same message that someone would be in touch with me. Today is December 2 and no one ever wrote or called (I did check spam and junk mail folders). I wanted to let you know this because they have a service award and no response to member service requests need to be factored in your next evaluation of this company. Thank you.

+ 1 moreI had a great experience. Everything was done on time and done professionally. Drywall project was easy enough. Small area I needed to fix after some plumbing work that had to go through the drywall. Better though was a custom project I wanted done. I wanted to have a ledge built and attached to the wall as a place to line up four bar stools. I had a rough idea of what I wanted but was loose on specifics. The guys who did the work did a beautiful job. They were very thoughtful and helpful throughout the whole thing. Really delightful team to work with from beginning to end.

Description of Work: We've used Gino and his crew for several projects around the house. Most recently, they put up a new wall, added a door, and installed several outlets to turn one giant bedroom into two good-sized rooms. Before that, they replaced some drywall in the basement and poured new concrete around the exterior of the house.

We purchased materials (like tiles and ceiling fan) and Master Handymen did the work. Gino was responsive in giving us quotes and the teams that did the work were punctual, skilled and cleaned up after the work was done.
Description of Work: We have had Master Handymen come in for several different jobs. First they retiled our shower, replaced a ceiling fan and rebuilt built-in bookshelves. Another time they repaired a shelf and closet door.

Description of Work: I used Master Handymen to reinstall and fix the drainage problem in my shower, they put in a new drip hand and retiled it. They also did some painting work, they did some patching of walls and insulated fixtures. They did a lot of stuff.

Description of Work: Master Handymen did some re-wiring for us. They did a lot of work. They were here for many hours because we had light fixtures that needed to be fixed. Our house is really old and the wiring is very difficult in spots. It is not like a nice clean house with nice junction boxes. I gave up on it and hired somebody who is a little more used to dealing with it. They fixed a couple of light fixtures we had and installed dimmer switches and some other light fixtures.

It seemed like the work was stretched out to fill the day. In addition,a faulty GFI outlet was misdiagnosed as being ok, when it wasn't. I replaced it myself the following week and the problem never re-occurred.

Unfortunately, the wires are so tightly packed and folded behind the components that I cannot move the television far enough to reach the wires or to optimize viewing. recently I needed to change out the modem and it was extremely difficult. As long as nothing goes wrong, I'm fine. As soon as something goes wrong, I'm going to need someone to come out and reconfigure the whole set-up, which is very concerning.

Gino's team was punctual/professional and more importantly let me know what they planned to do and complete that day as well as requested feedback on their finished jobs to make sure that I was satisfied with their work and they had not missed anything on the list.
Description of Work: The question is what did Gino and his team NOT do! They were awesome in getting my honey-do-list crossed off! 1. Seal or re-caulk the line between the house and sidewalk and the garage and sidewalk.2. Repair the hole/crack on 1 basement stair. 3. Reapply waterproofing sealer on the basement concrete near the basement door. 4. Re-caulk 29 exterior windows and 2 exterior doors. 5. Sand, caulk, prime, and paint the door frame and casing on the main entrance door of the house.6. Patch, sand, caulk, prime, and paint the wood support on the overhang of the main entry door of the house.7. Prime, and paint the stone work around the house (29 square or diamond shapes and approx. 70’ of sill).8. Power-wash the base concrete from the main door to the front of the house and the side walk on the side of the house from the front to the alley (approx. 410sf). 9. Power-wash the concrete patio in the back of the house including under the back stairs (90sf). 10. Cap the main overhead garage door frame and the smaller overhead garage door frame. 11. Modify the existing weatherproof strips on the small overhead garage door as needed. 12. Install locks on the overhead garage door. 13. Patch, sand, caulk, prime, and paint the exterior of the garage service door with frame and casing.14. Replace the main overhead garage door and tracks (motor not included). 15. Power-wash, stain/seal the back porch stairs, landing, and railings (five steps with an approx. 3’ x 5’landing).
