Jim who is one of the owners had come out and did my estimate. Offered a lot of great suggestions and helped me with my color choices. I had used this company four years ago when I bought my home. They do beautiful work and are great to work with.

What a great company! They did a great job scheduling and the man who came to do the work was fabulous. He repaired the hole and painted the ceiling. No one would ever know that there had been damage to the ceiling. It looks great. This was a fabulous deal.

I had an excellent experience the painters. I was most impressed with them as a company. They were not the cheapest, but I felt it was a great value for everything they did. I would say that the professionals that came to the house were outstanding, polite, careful, communicated well. Just the interior, they even put the paintings back on the wall. It took a week, 5 business days. They put the paintings back, which is always a big headache after you get painting. They told me exactly what was happening every day. They matched my colors perfectly. So, I thought they were just amazing.

Frank Hill did a site visit (gave me some advice on color choices), gave me an estimate the next day and the work was scheduled for the following day. The crew arrived on time and completed the work in 3 days. All rooms (walls and ceilings) were patched were necessary and painted. The kitchen cabinets were all painted via rollers on site. The finished product looks great, I am only sorry I did not take before and after photos.

They were professional, thorough and well worth the cost. They expertly cleaned, sanded, patched and primed. They opened up our ceiling to evaluate for water damage and repainted the damaged ceiling. You could never tell now. From the quote to scheduling the job, they made everything easy. Hire them. You won't regret it.

Initially, my wallpaper looked great. However, after installation and two repairs by Lookswell, seams are again showing all over the room. There is nothing wrong with my roof. The room is not a bathroom. There is either a problem with the paste they used to hang my paper, or something else was not done properly.

The estimator was polite, professional and punctual. He made note of my Angie's List member discount and said he would get a proposal back to me quickly. I entertained proposals from other contractors, but based on Lookswell's reputation and competitive pricing, I decided to go with them. The job took longer than anticipated and the installer arrived late one day, but otherwise I was very pleased with the process and the outcome at the time (2014). Now, it is 2016 and more and more seams are beginning to show all over the room. The wallpaper is coming off the walls and ceilings in some places. I am very disappointed, in light of the fact that Lookswell already reapplied the wallpaper in one area. I will likely look for another contractor to repair the damage. Lookswell also painted my trim, and I was very unimpressed with the quality.

This was a positive, customer service oriented experience from start to finish. Jim Scanlon, the owner provided the estimate. He spent much time with us to be sure he understood our expectations. We were clear about what we needed/wanted up front and he gave us a detailed estimate and fair price for the job. We have used MANY other professional painters before and Lookswell Painting is the company we will use in the future. Because my husband was having major back surgery, Jim worked with his schedule to get his crew out to get our job done before the surgery. The crew was terrific (primarily Mario and Edmundo); hard-working, polite guys who did a great painting job and thoroughly protected our property and cleaned up the area when they were done. We were very concerned about our brand new windows and Jim and the crew reassured us that they would do everything in their power to protect them....and they did! There are lots of little things that Lookswell does right that mean so much to a customer. Jim has his own carpenters which means that we were able to get a complete estimate and also means that Jim has control over how the work is done to avoid waiting for another company to get the carpentry work done. And, the carpentry was done to our satisfaction and we are particular. Jim also doesn't nickel and dime a homeowner. We suspect there were a few extra things Jim had the crew do for us but he didn’t add on any extra charges at the end of the job. He brought on extra guys on the last day to finish the job so that it wouldn’t go over to another work day. He willingly made arrangements to have the items on our punch list completed. They weren’t the cheapest of our estimates but having used some of the other companies before that we got estimates from, we know Lookswell was the best. And they provide a two year guarantee from the completion of the job.

Working with Lookswell from start to finish was a fantastic experience. Cindy at the office was quick to respond and very thorough. Frank came out to provide me with an estimate and he gave great suggestions on color choice as was very professional and willing to listen and answer my questions. Angel, Alberto and Victor who performed the various stages of painting were amazing. Their work was of excellent quality all the way around. Alberto went out of his way to ensure I was happy with the finish product! I appreciate the attn and the passion that Lookswell's employee show while at work. I will send use them again for my next painting project.

They were great! Super professional. They were on time every day, got the job done in time, and were very neat and orderly. We had lots of questions and they were always reachable. Would hire them again in a minute.

The work was completed quickly, and turned out great. The painters that came to the house were fantastic, nice, and did a great job. They got everything done, cleaned up and worked hard to do a fantastic job. We really could not be happier with the work that they did.

I felt the job was overpriced and sloppy. There were a total of 3 painters (1 painter named Angel did an excellent job on the rooms he painted but the other 2 painters did a sloppy job on the rooms they painted). Angel's two helpers didn't seem to take pride in their job the way Angel did.

Had appointment set for Thursday 7/7/16. No show. No call. No email. I sent an email asking if they were a no show. No word. Friday I received an apology via email the next day. I replied to same email with 3 other dates for availability. I expected to hear from someone Friday. I even called the office twice. By the end of the business day, I sent an email said I was no longer interested.

They did an excellent job. Shamus,Omar and Gustavo were great guys to have working in our home. The owners were super easy to deal with and went out of their way to make sure the job went smoothly. Frank came by to check on the progress a couple of times and discuss additional work we wanted done. The guys showed up at 8:00 a.m. each day and worked till about 4 p.m.. They were neat and quiet, and ,even pointed a few things out to me about painting. I never review any work before a week or so has passed because I like to check a finished job out carefully. Make sure it looks good in different light, and so on. I was really concerned about the staining because the windows were new and I wanted them to look exceptionally nice. No worries they look beautiful.

Workers arrived ontime and were pleasant. They went to work right away and two days later the place was done. The painting job was excellent and they cleaned up afterwards. Would hire them again.

Excellent experience. Lookswell was very responsive and did a great painting job. They moved and replaced all pictures, furniture, etc., and completed the job while I was out of town. A damaged picture frame was immediately taken for replacement and paid for. Easy people to work with.

They made sure that all the floors and appliances were covered so there wouldn't be any sort of dust on them. They were very timely. They were very friendly and professional. They took care of my home as if it were their own home. They were very careful with where they placed their materials so they did not damage anything. They were very thorough. I would recommend them to anyone.

Excellent! The Lookswell team was about the best service provider I've had in my past 8 years of owning a newly constructed home. I would use them and again and highly recommend them. I was most impressed with the precision and quality of their painting and that they didn't bypass the small stuff that enhances the finished result. Both the wood trim replacement and the drywall repair were well done. They were punctual, excellent at their craft and both protected and cleaned up my home as part of the job. They also were very perceptive and used good judgement rather than having to ask a lot of questions along the way -- they even identified a couple of new items and included them in the original estimated price. The cost of the work felt a little high and I missed using the Angie's List discount, so for the novice, I might suggest getting a couple of competitive bids, but keep this review in mind!!

Painters were punctual, professional, fast, and I was delighted with the end result. Couldn't have been better.

Owner Jim spent a lot of time helping me select colors. He came to the house three times with samples. Company showed up daily on time. Painters were polite and considerate. They promptly got to work. They covered all furniture and moved it when necessary. They also put the furniture back after painting was completed. They covered all floors to protect them from drips. The work took five and one half days. Jim added brought in more painters to make sure the work was done on time. My house looks great. I highly recommend Lookswell Painting.

Very professional - they did an amazing job!

Jim Scanlan responded promptly to my email request for a quote. He came out to my home to view the scope of the job and told me how long it would take and made suggestions. I received a written estimate by email which was professionally written and included all details of the job. The price was right and included using high-grade paint. I accepted his offer happily. His crew appeared on the job at 8am on time and ready to work. They were on time every day like clockwork. I was very impressed with his workers who took great care with my belongings, moved furniture carefully and even vacuumed before they put my furniture back in place. They were courteous, gentlemanly and knowledgeable. The best part was watching how industrious and cognizant of time everyone seemed. Breaks and lunch always were on a schedule and everyone adhered to this ethic. Amazing for today's laid back "so-what?" attitude. Everyone was worth their weight in gold! There are no drips ANYWHERE, no paint on the woodwork and every ceiling to wall joint is cut cleanly and perfectly. I do not understand how they do it! Eight rooms were painted and the job took 3 days. Also two light fixtures were replaced and installed expertly. I cannot be more pleased. Instead of the usual horror, it was a pleasure to have these workmen in my home. I would not hesitate to hire them again and again. My home is beautiful now and looks brand-new. Thanks again.

Lookswell did a great job painting our hallway. The price included the paint, and all supplies. No additional out of pocket costs. (another quote we got wanted to charge us separately for parking!) they arrived on time, did a great job, finished in a timely manner, and cleaned up after themselves. no complaints!
