Lookswell Painting has been serving clients as a family owned business since 1963. We are a full service painting contractor specializing in residential painting and decorating, commercial and industrial painting, and cabinet refinishing and restoration. They did a beautiful job. They were really professional. They finished quickly and on schedule. They were polite and pleasant. I do not recall having any problems at all. They were a little expensive.
Description of Work: They painted the interior of a 3200 square foot condo. They also removed some paint. They used oil paint in the bathroom but in the rest of the rooms, they used water based paint.

Very polite, high quality work, and finished in 1 day. Cleaned up after themselves well before leaving for the day. We've used Lookswell for several drywall and painting projects and always found them to be a great value. High quality for a fair price. On two occasions, we made the mistake of hiring someone other than Lookswell for a painting or drywall job, and both times we regretted it.
Description of Work: Drywall and Painting project in two rooms: (1) replace large section of drywall in bedroom ceiling and paint entire ceiling, (2) replace large section of drywall in finished attic wall and prime (ready for homeowner to paint).

Lookswell Painting was great to work with. The crew was professional, timely and above all neat. I was thrilled with the results - my home is beautiful. Frank Hill was great and the crew couldn't have been nicer. They took great care with detail. I have never had my home professionally painted and I couldn't be happier. THE CREW WAS PROMPT AND PROFESSIONAL AND WORKED 10 HOUR DAYS TO COMPLETE THE WORK. THE ENTIRE INTERIOR OF THE HOME REQUIRED 6 DAYS. AFTER THE WORK WAS COMPLETED, A CREW MEMBER RETURNED FOR TOUCH-UP AREAS. OVERALL, VERY CLEAN, HOWEVER, THEY COULD HAVE CLEANED SOME MINOR PAINT SPOTS ON THE FLOOR. I WOULD HIRE AGAIN FOR NEXT JOB.

LOOKSWELL WAS A BIG MISTAKE. THEY WERE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN OTHER CONTRACTORS, BUT WE WENT WITH THEM BECAUSE WE THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE THE MOST PROFESSIONAL. VERY WRONG. OUR ENTIRE CONDO WAS FILTHY DIRTY THAT NIGHT, THEY TRACKED PAINT IN THE COMMON AREAS OF THE BUILDING, THEY SCRATCHED AND PERMANENTLY DAMAGED OUR DINING ROOM TABLE. THEY RESPONDED WELL TO OUR COMPLAINTS AND PROMISED TO PAY FOR A CLEANING SERVICE. HOWEVER, FOR THE MONEY WE PAID FOR THE WORK, THIS WAS VERY INCONVENIENT AND WE WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM IN THE FUTURE.

WE COVERED EVERYTHING WITH PLASTICS AND WRAPPED THE FURNITURE. WE SEALED THE ROOM OFF. SHE HAD A MASSIVE AMOUNT OF CEILING DAMAGE. SHE CALLED US ABOUT THE DUST IN HER APARTMENT. WE INSPECTED IT AND FOUND DUST IN HER DINING ROOM DURING THE PAINTING JOB. WE HIRED A CLEANING COMPANY BECAUSE OF HER COMPLAINT REGARDING THE DUST JUST TO KEEP HER HAPPY. WE HAD HER TABLE REFINISHED EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NOT CLEAR WHERE THE MARK CAME FROM. WE HAVE CHANGED OUR POLICY REGARDING DUST AFTER WE FINISH BECAUSE OF THIS MEMBER. ***DURING CONSTRUCTION, COMMON SENSE WOULD DICTATE THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE SOME DUST*** PLEASE EXPECT A LITTLE DURING MAJOR REPAIRS. WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE GRADE WE RECEIVED FROM HER, EVEN THOUGH SHE STATES THAT WE RESPONDED VERY WELL TO ANY OF HER COMPLAINTS.
