Their quote was almost twice as much as the quote from Premium Home Improvement.

Did not hire, they could not fit us in their schedule. Hired another painter, and the worked out so well, we are hiring them for more work.

Lookswell painted out kitchen cabinets, kitchen, family room, and a small bathroom. They were great to work with and the painting looks great. Cindy - who runs their office and does scheduling - was fantastic to work with. All of the painters, as well as Frank (estimator) and Jim (owner), were all very professional and good to work with. They did a nice job covering everything up and cleaning up. There were initially some small chips to our kitchen cabinets, which I was not happy about, but Jim promptly came to our house to look at the issues, and the cabinet painter returned and cleaned up all of the spots. The cabinets look great now (were brown and now white), and our kitchen looks completely different and great! We'd definitely recommend them and would hire them again.

I hired Lookswell Painting based on a neighbors recommendation and was very happy with the work they performed. They were prompt in responding to my request for an estimate and Frank came by to look at the work to be done and responded within a couple of days with a written estimate. They setup the schedule and let me know that it's possible, based on weather because they do a lot of outdoor painting in the summer, that the date could change to either earlier or later. It did change to later, which really was no problem and they let me know asap. When the date rolled around, they would have been able to come a day earlier, if it worked for me but it did not. The work was completed much more quickly than I anticipated and was done really well with very high quality. The two workers were very nice, on time, helpful and worked very **** ** the job. They moved everything that needed to be moved and covered everything extremely well. I would definitely recommend them and will hire them again in the future if the need arises for me.

Perfect!! If you're looking for a professional and skilled painting company, Lookswell is a top choice in Chicago. This team are skilled craftsmen, are professional and courteous, and they're probably neater than I am as the homeowner. The job included four areas damaged by a roof leak that required drywall repair and painting, and included a 600 square foot ceiling with plenty of obstacles (speakers, canned lighting, smoke alarms). This team accomplished a flawless job and even moved and covered my personal items effectively. A second job was to strip, stain and varnish a large wooden front door that had Northern outside exposure for eight years. Excellent restoration!!

Excellent service! We had done renovations in our livingroom and it needed top to bottom painting when done. Lookswell was very responsive, prompt and professional. The quote was very reasonable, and we were booked when we needed to be. The crew was on time, super polite, hard working and did a super job. We got the ceilings, trim, moldings, walls and new built in cabinets all painted, all in the paint and colors we requested. We totally loved the service and quality of the work done, and are already planning on having them back to take care of a couple other rooms in the house.

Jim and the crew he brought to our house were fantastic and I will use this company for all of my future painting projects. We received email confirmation of appointments, and they showed up at 7am as I requested so that I could talk through the project with them before leaving for work. Jim did the original estimate, then came out with his crew leader the day they were starting the work to talk through the project with him and introduce us. The original project was to repair and repaint a ceiling that had suffered water damage from an ice dam. I added touch-ups of the interior paint throughout the house, and they ended up painting a whole bathroom for me because it made more sense than just touching up those walls. I kept finding new areas to touch-up and pointing them out to the crew leader, and he happily took care of all of them. The crew was friendly, respectful of my home and my family (including keeping quiet while my daughter napped), and extremely clean. They left no mess whatsoever, and the work was all perfect. I have extremely high standards and usually find myself disappointed by contractors. Not here! These guys truly are the best.

The men were meticulous. They thoroughly prepped the areas to be worked on. They did a beautiful job and finished all in one day. They cleaned up after they were finished. This is the kind of business you want working for you in your home.

The crew showed up on time, they were quiet and professional, did good work and cleaned up after themselves. They also asked pertinent questions to make sure they were doing what we wanted. They completed the work as promised. I didn't check as closely as I might have to ensure even higher quality work on some details. The hardest part of the work was the utility room that's small and very crowded. Previous roof leaks had deteriorated the plaster, so a lot of work had to be done in that tight space.

From the beginning of the process to the end it was a stress-free process. My initial call was picked up by a live person not a recording. Cindy was pleasant and very helpful setting up the appointment for the estimator and then the painters. Frank came to provide the estimate, on time, and looked at the work that had to be done and answered all my questions. Cindy set up the dates for the painters to come, it would be a two day job. Fernando and his crew arrived, on time, and prepared the rooms. They were respectful and always letting me know what they were going to do. They did a great job. I also spoke with the owner Jim and he was a pleasure to speak with and takes great pride in his company, and it shows. I will definitely hire them again. Thanks Lookswell Painting!

They did an excellent job on both projects. The on-site team was very professional and conscientious. When weather delayed work on the project, the home office team did a great job keeping me up to date on when the project would resume. Really pleased with the outcome.

Lookswell did an amazing job! They were the lowest price of the 3 contractors we talked to. They were on time every single day, cleaned up at the end of each day, and did a great, careful job. And when I asked them to do some things that weren't originally planned, they were able to accommodate my requests at a fair price. I would use them again in a heart beat! Thanks Frank and Jim!

I have used them five times before, and I got two other projects. One was just awarded to them. I think they are the best contractor I have ever worked with. They are very professional. They are very much, if something comes up they will call and answer. If there is a conflict on dates. They work very well. They clean up. The quality is good.You don't even know they were there. They are great people to work with. I have referred them several times. They are the best contractor I have ever worked with. They are my go to painting and decorating company. They are really good. They are just really good. Then when something ever goes wrong, which is very infrequently, they bend over backwards to fix it. They come out on your convenience. They miss a spot. The next day they are over.

They were prompt and very professional. They sent us an estimate through email within 24 hours. They were good, but just a bit more expensive.

I have used several contractors over the last three years to model home. Lookswell by far is the best of the bunch. First, they do high quality workmanship. Second, their prices are reasonable. Third, the workers are professional and friendly. Fourth, they clean up after themselves. Fifth, they are very hard working. Had a worker who refused water and worked straight only taking 30 minute lunch break. Lastly, they are almost always perfect. Once they made a small mistake. I told them they could come back next week to fix. The owner sent someone out the next day to fix the mistake. I also had a small patch and paint job that I didn;t think they would want. Since I was a returning customer, they cheerfully came out. I would highly recommend this group for the quality of the work, their professionalism etc. If I had owned a contractor place, this is the culture I would want. Love these guys! You won't go wrong.

I am amending a review I submitted before because there was some confusion in regards to the search radius in miles from my home. I asked for a search of 5 mi and Lookswell responded. An appt was made and then was canceled because of my location being outside of the 5 mi. It turns out that Lookswell does service my area of the city. The owner, Jim, called and explained that an error had been made. So a new appt was made and we discussed a few options to bring my kitchen cabinets into this century. Jim was very accommodating and pleasant and had several suggestions. I have not made any decisions yet but he is in the top three of my list.

There were some cleanup issues at the end of the first day, but none the rest of the week.
